Said, "give it the winter, it will be perfect when you open the pool." Judge for yourself if you could consider these photos to show a "perfect" finish. 3rd update - it's the nightmare that keeps giving! The pool cover that Lang Pools installed 4 years back, like the entire project- never really worked well. It often got stuck and slowly stopped working entirely over the last two years. After consulting with a reputable pool company, we come to learn that Lang skimped on the fabric and that's why it never worked properly. Another 5-7k to fix it. We've basically paid for TWO pools at this point with all the repairs and rebuilding needed. read more

I would rate them a 1. We hired Lang to replace our liner. Our old liner owed us nothing after 20 years. About 2 days after the installation, I was vacuuming the pool and saw what looked like a patch in the deep end of our pool. We called Lang immediately and they absolutely denied and said that we were seeing shadows. We asked that they come out to look and they eventually did. When the Lang representative showed up, he confessed that the crew had cut and patched our liner. Lang tried offering us free pool maintenance for 2 years but we insisted that we wanted the liner replaced. After much discussion, Lang replaced our liner. The story gets better..... a year and a half pass and this summer we noticed that the liner was sagging and had a huge wrinkle on one side. We called and Lang said they would send someone out. They did not come until the 4th phone call. One guy showed up unannounced (saw them on ours camera) was there for maybe 10 minutes (took pictures) and left. The Lang manager Lang told us that the sag and wrinkle was due to our maintenance. We have had the same maintenance for 22 years. Our old liner never did this. Lang would not talk to us further and never offered or suggested that the could repair the liner. BE VERY CAREFUL who you hire. I wish I had checked references better. We are very disappointed with Lang and still can not believe that they would not tell us about the patch or work with us to fix the current problem. Jan Westport, CT read more

This is the 2nd time I am using Lang Pools for fixing major issues with my pool. I am very pleased with this company. Their service is very reliable. They changed my pump and salt system in no time at the hight of the season. Can't talk highly enough about Steve who does not fail to impress me with his prompt and professional service. read more

Please do NOT use this terrible pool company!! Unfortunately I wasted 5 months of my life working for these horrible people! The owner is mean and very abrasive! The whole staff lies, they just tell you what you want to hear. They take your money and don't really care about your project. They do everything half ass, as long as it looks good on the surface they don't really care about the quality of the job. Their communication is the worst! They just pass clients phone calls from one employee to another because no one wants to deal with all of the problems that arise there. I witnessed a lot of shady things going on there. Please do yourselves a favor and work with another pool company, so many better options in our area! read more

Should get 0 stars. Had a new pool deck and liner installed. Very poor workmanship. Will not honor warranty or or even discuss. The entire construction process was painful and communication non existent. Chris the owner wouldn't talk about issues. The only communication I received was a message that they didn't charge enough for the job and have since fired the job supervisor. Not sure what this has to do with me. In addition I asked them to open my pool when the job was finished and they charged double what other companies charged and then bill me for the chemicals! I am not one who often complains and rarely posts unless I have something positive to say. However, this time is the exception. I would not recommend Lang Pools. They repeatedly ignored our numerous requests to return calls concerning various hot tub issues. The manager berated and dismissed me on several occasions and could care less about our concerns. Some of the service people were very kind, but one in particular was extremely rude each time he came to our home for service. Use anyone else. Not Lang Pools! read more

WARNING HOME OWNERS! Should you decide to build a pool don't use Lang Pools. My unfortunate adventure started in the fall of 2013. We contracted Lang Pools to build us a 15 X 30 liner pool with a hot tub connected. The project finished in February of 2014. The agreement was that i would have paid the balance once the pool was opened and running properly. A few weeks after the termination of the job, Chris called me soliciting the payment of the balance saying that he needed it to close the invoice. He told me: "trust me if there is anything to be addressed, I will take care of it". Sure enough when they opened the pool in the late spring we immediately noticed that the pool was leaking a great amount of water. Chris immediate response was: " the pool is perfect and it is just evaporation". I live in New York State and the climate it is not such that the water can evaporate that fast! Perhaps the fact that i have an heavy accent made Chris think that he can full me, but as a reminder to Chris : "BECAUSE I AM AN IMMIGRANT I AM NOT NECESSARILY UNEDUCATED". After insisting I was finally able to convince him that he had to take care of the problem and he sent out a diver to check for leaks. Of course there was a huge one near the connection between the hot tub and the pool. The diver made a patch with a glue that supposedly had to be just a temporary fix. Chris promised to do a state of the art repair in the fall at the closing of the pool. His crew came out closed the pool and did not do the fix. I brought to Chris attention that the repair was not done and he said:" don't worry we will do it during the spring opening". Spring comes and the repair once again was not done. The pool kept on leaking water, less than before but still leaking. Chris again promised that he would have definitely fixed the issue in the fall. Fall comes and his crew came to close the pool without the necessary equipment for the repair. I sent the crew away and told them to come back only when they would have been ready to repair the pool. Two weeks later I received a call from Chris' office saying that the crew is in my house doing the repair. Useless to say that I was very upset that they deliberately trespassed into my property without authorization. Tired of fake promises I dismissed lang pools and told them not to come back again. Chris manger told me that if I would have used anybody else to close the pool the warranty would have been void and that i was just disgruntled. The cherry on the icing was that they tried to send me to collection. The collection agency of course reviewing my rebuttal dismissed the file immediately. We are now pursuing legal ways to recover the cost of the repairs performed by another pool company. CHRIS THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO KEEP A PROSPEROUS BUSINESS! read more

I had Lang renovate my pool by installing new coping, tile, and plaster. The final product is ok, but not great at a cost of over 30k. It was a nightmare of communication. The guys show up when not expected and don't come when scheduled. If you don't watch them, they will screw something up (fill your expansion joint with concrete). Instead of cutting the coping stones in one location they cut them all over my yard so that my grass was a gravel pit. I needed to call them back to clean up. I even was in the yard picking up pebbles with them. They finally finished the work and I paid them in full. That was a big mistake because when I found a couple minor problems they ignored me and refused to fix them. They will tell you to relax and not to worry that they are professionals and have a great reputation for client satisfaction. Don't belive it! read more

I contracted with Lang Pools to open my pool and change the heater. After nearly 2 months and many thousands of dollars, the heater still not working. Lang pools keeps passing the buck to others - that it is the "electricians" fault, etc. They collect 100% of the money "up front" and then don't finish the job. read more

Chris's team installed my pool 17 years ago and has been maintaining it ever since The office staff are very friendly and helpful The pool is holding up great after all this time and his crew does a fantastic job of cleaning and maintaining it weekly I highly recommend Lang Pool! read more

Lang pools installed a liner 2 years ago in my built in pool assuring me that even though another vendor installed the pool, they have no problem installing a liner (as seen on their website! ) Only 2 years of use and the liner caved in about halfway around the pool. They refuse to repair the problem saying they only offer 1 year warranty and that it is not a Lang Pool (thank god!) I didn't expect my liner to cave in as it did NOT after 14 years from fairfield pools install. Recalling the Lang Pool install with the wrinkles and NO LINER LOCK until we asked for it...now I am experiencing their very poor workmanship . Poor jobs don't last too long! Lang to the Rescue: I needed plumbing parts for my pool valve/filter, and after many stops to pool stores, plumbing establishments and hardware stores... I stopped into Lang pools as a last resort. While Lang typically doesn't carry inventory parts (primarily because they only order specific parts for current projects) the two ladies manning the business, heard the desperation in my voice and went out of their way to look for what I needed. They didn't have to, they could have turned me away. - Thank you, Thank you! Customer Service at the highest level. read more

The positive is that it is a nice looking pool but that's about it. Have had my pool for a few years and the electric was hooked up wrong which caused my salt cell to need replacement sooner. I was told it was correct when another pool company told me about the problem and I asked Lang. A snotty response was what I got. Rude and clueless quite frankly. read more

Another year of opening a Lang Pool. I received an email from lawyers after writing my review to enquire whether or not I signed the non-disclosure agreement (didn't they know?). I did not and I will not. Ever. I do not want compensation. In my opinion, Mr. Lang knows exactly who the review came from. In my opinion, my advice for those building a pool with Lang this year: keep an eye on: 24/7. In my opinion, (and word on the street...completely conjecture of course) , those with "better" zip codes, receive better service. I had a truly terrible terrible experience here this morning. First of all, the website hours and information is entirely incorrect according to the owner. Second of all, there is absolutely no place to park. It's right on the busy Post Road in a very unsafe area with zero parking. It was so difficult to park and the parking lot is in such bad shape that I crushed the front of my car on a jagged curb trying to tuck my car in. Further, when I spoke to the owner about this he told me that I was there "too early" (despite being there half an hour after the website says they are open) and that they were doing deliveries so the parking lot was full. Well, that makes it awfully hard to become a customer. The experience and the attitude that I was met with were horrific. read more

If you want an obnoxious owner, inattentive staff, poor engineering, and in general a horrible building experience- these are your guys. Unfortunately, I went with these guys over a few others because of their smooth talking salesman, AND their claim to have built 400 pools over X years etc.....All I can tell you is RUN away and get someone else- anyone else! My project was late, slow, with different guys on the job site every other day and their motto could easily be- Lang Pools Home of the Change Order. My job was about $65k, so this was a typical 20 x40 built in. The front office girl, I think her name is Desi is obnoxious too. Bad corporate culture, and bad execution. Worst experience of my life and we have gutted 2 houses. Inattentive owner who ignored us and never came to the house despite the fact that the foreman left the job. Workmen unaware of what they needed to do and would ask me what needed to be done. Pool mechanicals put in wrong place. Patio and wall had to be rebuilt. One of the rudest admin assistant I have ever encountered. Utter lack of customer service. Run away from these truly incompetent people. read more

STAY AWAY FROM LANG POOLS!! Yes, just last summer they built a beautiful pool but there are a ton of other companies that can do that too. My "new project manager" was fired halfway through my project, and the 2nd in command quit after my job was completed. The owner, Chris, is obnoxious, condescending, sarcastic, nasty, demeaning and rude! Their motto "We don't just build pools, we build relationships" is a bunch of crap. The relationship ends once he gets your money. Then he washes his hands of you and leaves you on our own when issues arise during and after construction. They cracked a stone in my brand new patio when drilling for the pool cover just weeks after it was laid. It was an extremely expensive patio and after countless calls/emails and being told it would be fixed, i was then told "in the spring". After many more calls/emails, July came and it still wasn't replaced. I then received a curt email from the owner telling me "It's best to leave as is. Broken piece was cemented in. Grout will never match. Have a great summer". Talk about dismissive!! That was unacceptable to me and when I told him he responded with "Yes we have failed you. Look on the bright side - now you have other choices for pool companies". And that is exactly what I did. I didn't even wait out the service contract or have them close the pool. I found another company that a friend has been using for 10+ years and am so happy to be done with Lang. read more
