Needed a light bulb replaced. NEVER responded called Leslie's pool to replace the lights. Asked him for recommendations for masonry to repair the coping slates around the pool, which are very loose. the office told me they would fix it, still waiting for 3 years. About four months ago, we signed a contract for a $15,000 project to rebuild all the pipes of an in-ground pool, for which I paid a $6,000 deposit. Just before the project was set to begin, I decided not to move forward (the reasons are another story I may leave for a separate review). Zachary initially agreed to refund the deposit, but that's when the horrible experience started. They first claimed the entire $6,000 deposit had already been spent on "materials," and that it would take time to recover the money from their supplier. The project itself was mostly labor, and even if every material had been purchased upfront, it would not reasonably exceed $1,000. I was never provided any proof to support their claim. They promised to return the full refund within six weeks. Partial repayments were made, but the schedule kept changing, amounts kept shrinking, and payments were skipped repeatedly with various excuses. Now, 16 weeks later, only about half of the deposit has been repaid.

Then, I realized the auto-fill they installed wan't even complete. There is a custom piece that connects the water supply to the pool that was never left with us that renders the feature completely worthless. Spent 10's of thousands of dollars just to be ghosted. In 20 years of owning this pool and using several services over the years for the problems that are beyond me and I've never dealt with another company as unprofessional and self righteous.

Mike & Robert were on point. Once a appointment was made, they arrived on time & the service was dead on. They power vac & scrubbed my pool till it was perfect. Since my friend is very meticulous about workmanship, I felt confident in contacting them. When I worked with Tom the owner to arrange for the job he was very friendly, helpful and professional. When I pointed to some imperfections on other parts of my 30 year old pool like the steps and skimmers, he did not try to take advantage of the situation and sell me things I didn't need, instead suggesting that if they were working fine, there was no need to replace them. When it came time to do the work last fall, Gunnar and his team were very professional and performed the replacement without any surprises. John responded to my Yelp post quickly, was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely wanted the work. He handled the opening, does weekly maintenance, and has taken the time to walk me through the different components so I can take on some upgrades myself. Can't say enough good things about John. He's easy-going, reliable, and has been maintaining pools across the Island for over 15 years. For my neighbors in and around Port Jefferson, the Three Villages, Mount Sinai, and Miller Place--John's been coming out to me, and he's a rare find if you're looking for honest, hands-on pool support. I called big blue Pools and talked to the owner and explain the situation to her. She gave me a very reasonable price, which I paid for and scheduled the very next day a service call to his house. The Service crew that she sent the house was so accommodating to this disabled friend of mine. He was very impressed. They did an excellent job in the backyard covering the pool with plenty of water bags to make sure it lasted throughout the year. The way the service crew accommodated my dear friend, was very impressive that he called me up and said these were the best people I've ever dealt with. Five star service at its best!
