I originally contacted Blue Wave to determine why my pool was losing water. I would typically add water once a week, and it was frustrating because it was not only time but money - since I was wasting water, and adding salt more frequently. Shlomi (the owner) had previously installed a new pool pump in a pinch, as the old one seized up while I was traveling, and he did a great job, so I thought I'd have him look at the situation. He determined that the only way to stop the leak was for all the plumbing needed to be replaced. I thought this was more than a bit extreme, but since my pool wasn't filtering properly based on the positions of the returns/skimmers being on one wall (which meant constantly having leaves/debris at the bottom of the pool) I decided to go ahead with it. What a joke this entire process was. This was - hands-down - the worst experience I've ever had with any company in my life. If you hire Blue Wave after reading this, you either must think I'm lying, or love pain and suffering so much to want to hit yourself in the junk over and over. I know it sounds like hyperbole or exaggeration, but I promise you it isn't. Before I brought these complaints to Shlomi's attention, I decided to ask what *he* felt was left to do. I was floored when he said they were basically done. I could only laugh. I hit him with the below laundry list on June 17th. A month later, nothing has been done. No plans, no calls, zip. I haven't heard from Blue Wave since. They must have decided that it wasn't worth it, because of all the issues they caused, and probably hoping I don't sue them. Blue Wave doesn't get to escape without me giving a detailed account of exactly what they did. I hope I can spare someone some agony, because they saw COVID already ruining my summer and said "HOLD MY BEER!" The job was supposed to be completed within a week. They were at 3 weeks and still weren't done. Installed new plumbing so poorly I can see where it leaks because the ground is darker due to it absorbing so much water. I'm losing more water now than it was before! They broke not 1, not 2, but all 3 of my sprinkler lines while they were digging for the plumbing - and said NOTHING! My lawn is completely burnt because I didn't realize it in time, and had to run out to buy sprinklers. So that's how I spend my evenings now, moving sprinklers around to different places in my lawn. Thanks Blue Wave! Removed 3 pieces of coping (including one they broke by mistake). I think they just put them to the curb, with no plans to replace them. My pool looks worse than before, like a meth addict's teeth. Thanks Blue Wave! Broke the electric for the pool lighting, which also includes the outlet I use to plug the pool robot into. So now it's dark when we go swimming at night, and I need to run an extension cord to run the robot, so I have that running across my yard, adding to the awful look. *thumbs up* Thanks Blue Wave! Absolutely destroyed my landscaping around my yard, after I just had mulch put in. Now I have mountains of dirt where there used to be mulch. Dirt not only ON but IN the pool equipment. Dirt in the basement window wells. They created a huge dirt hill by the pool equipment. Now when it rains, I get a flood of mud all over my patio. Thanks Blue Wave! Removed landscaping borders to dig, and threw them in the lawn. Garbage bags they used were filled and then left on my lawn, so now the lawn is dead in both cases on top of being burnt. Thanks Blue Wave! They were constantly leaving soda cups, bottles, cigarette butts, you name it - all this trash in my yard. It was disgusting, and clearly these guys didn't give a single F. Weeks later I discovered a Gatorade bottle in a window well. Thanks Blue Wave! They ripped out multiple plants and just left them wherever, so they died. We had some nice greenery around the pool, but now it's a brown wasteland. I'm waiting for a post-apocalyptic biker gang to come rolling through looking for water or gas. Two men enter - two men leave (in disgust). Thanks Blue Wave! The old skimmer was left open from above. It's dangerous, and anyone could accidentally step down and really hurt themselves. They had a guy doing cement to repair the concrete they cut into, so why not just fill that in? Makes zero sense. So I have a piece of wood covering this for now, adding to charm of my hillbilly pool. Thanks Blue Wave! I vacillate between shock, disgust, disappointment and rage when I look at this pool now. It makes me completely sick and heartbroken. My teenage daughter is embarrassed to even have her friends over, and I can't blame her one bit. It looks like complete trash now. I can't imagine all the hours of work I have to do now, not to mention the cost of hiring people to fix the sprinklers, electric, landscaping - OH AND THE POOL ITSELF! Do not - under any circumstances - hire Blue Wave. I'd rather have them finish the job they started, and completely fill my pool in with dirt. read more

Blue Wave Pool Service speaks for itself. I now have nice blue waves bobbing up and down in my pool thanks to the crew of friendly and fair experienced gentlemen. These guys were in and out, left no mess, even took my trash out and cleaned up the mess i made! Who does this? 5 star rating to these guys. I wish suffolk county had more men like those guys.
