I've used their services in the past with good results, however this time I'm very disappointed. Many stains seeped back up after the carpet was dry, was told this is normal when I called to discuss my concerns. Had not happened in the past but ok. Was also told the kind of carpet I have cannot have stains removed, but it worked before??The worker talked way too much and wasted a lot of time when he could have been working. I paid $425 for cleaning 5 rooms and a stairway. I was told I was not charged for stain removal so it is not guaranteed. Their employee talked about everything but my carpet and did not explain anything about stain removal. My carpet is old and I had realistic expectations, but have gotten much better results in the last two years with this company. I would have paid more to get it done right. I will not ever bother using their services again. read more

Service provider came to our home to clean the upholstery, and we realized we probably should have requested the rugs be cleaned as well. I used Langenwalter because it was recommended by some neighbors. Unfortunately, my experience was much different than theirs. My carpet was not well-cleaned; I went over some areas with my own rug cleaner and the water was brown. The technician left the carpet so wet that we ran fans for several days. After a few days the water sensor was tripped in our furnace area causing the furnace to turn off. We found that enough water from the carpet cleaning had made it under the door to trip the sensor! When I told the manager about our experience, she told me that the water could not have come from the very damp carpet. They refused to come out and make things right without charging $200, in addition to the over $400 we had paid for a relatively small area. I was surprised at their bad customer service. I have had carpet cleaned many times in the past and have never had a bad experience before now. (As an aside - I emptied my end tables before the cleaning, assuming they would move them and then put them on styrofoam. They didn't move anything.) read more

I called Langenwalter last Friday b/c I was having a super meltdown regarding cat urine. My cat has been using our new house as her WHOLE litter box. This has been going on for four months now and I have been trying to manage it myself....but last Friday I just couldn't take it anymore. I called around a few carpet cleaners and found them online in my search. They were able to come out the same day for a free consultation. He gave me a quote for the urine breakdown which is a guaranteed to work. While he can't promise the cat won't come back to that spot, this spot removal stuff he uses is guaranteed to even come out of the pad. This is the most important part! He sprayed the areas that were affected and came back the following Monday and completed the cleaning. It now smells amazing in my house...and the spots are gone. The cat is gone too. Used Langenwalter on the recommendations of others. Very nice customer service when I scheduled and very nice technician. He put booties on and bumpers on the corners. I was a little surprised when he had all 4 bedrooms, hallway, stairs and basement stairs and basement (partial) done in an hour. Things looked and felt great at first. I had pointed out some stains we had at the top of the stairs(been there a while) and some on the stairs (recent from our dog getting sick) that the technician said would come out. After 6 weeks though, those stains are back - including the ones that our dog had made 2 days before technicians arrival. (I had cleaned them immediately, of course but there was still some slight discoloration) Called Langenwalter and the service person said that stain removal like that requires more product and extra service, none of which the technician told me that day. To come out and redo the stains would be at least $150. And after paying $500 six weeks ago for a little over an hours worth of work, I am feeling disappointed! read more

Both my daughter in Greenwood and brother-in-law recommended this company. Our carpet is 18 years old and never been professionally cleaned. It has endured two puppies being trained and a burst water heater that flooded our downstairs a couple years ago. There were huge stains were all over the carpet. First time I've used carpet & tile cleaning from Langenwalter, via the recommendation of a realtor. It could not have been a better experience. The two bedrooms, loft, and stairs have light-colored carpet that shows everything, and now it looks so much better. Plus I had the ceramic tile floor of the screened porch cleaned - also done well. The very pleasant tech, Jay, arrived right on time and was very careful around any furniture, baseboards, and wall corners - protecting the latter with plastic guards. Price-wise the cost was quite fair. I don't think anyone could have done better. Will use them again for sure. read more

Very expensive, average cleaning quality that I get myself with my own carpet cleaner. Worst part is that I paid per section of room, or per hallway, and then he left last few feet of room or hallway uncleaned. When the company called to "follow up", they were not interested in how happy I was with local contractor, just wanted to know if he showed up, that's all. I think that sums up how much the company cares about the job they do for hundreds of dollars. read more

Hands down the best carpet cleaning company in the state of Indiana. When scheduling the appointment the office staff I talked to were very friendly and gave me pre-arrival tips to get my house ready for the cleaning. The night before the appointment they called and reminded me of my appointment, which was very helpful. When the technician arrived he wore booties and was very easygoing with my dogs. The technician was very professional and patient with all my questions and concerns. After the cleaning my carpets and hardwoods looked 110% better than before. He also didn't try and up sell me at any point during the cleaning, which is what I disliked about other companies. He told me about the other services Langenwalter offers, including water damage restoration, which I had no clue about. The day after the cleaning one of the ladies in the office called me to ask how the cleaning was and to follow up. Langenwalter charged us $400.00 to clean our mid-sized basement and 2 sets of stairs.,which is higher than any other company we've used. Langenwalter advertises that they can get even tough stains out such as grease and drinks. The Service Tech seemed very sure that he could get the spots removed and said our type of carpet always looks great when he's done. He led us to believe that treating the stains was part of the cost. My carpet looked great the day he cleaned it, but as it dried, more spots came up to the surface. We called Langenwalter's right away to come back out to retreat it. The scheduler told me she had to pull up our paperwork and discuss it with the manager. When she called back she said they Didn't Charge me for stain removal, so they Couldnt guarantee it!! *They advertise their wonderful stain removal but they dont "charge you a separate fee" on your bill, so they Dont have to Guarantee it! I told her that we were never given that option! The service tech did come out the next day and gave a quick attempt to retreat the spots, all the while making excuses about why it looked this way. He also told us that if he had to come out again he would have to charge us again for carpet cleaning!! I was Totally shocked!! Do Not waste your money with this company!! Terrible customer service and they do Not stand by their work! Update 5/3/18: The service tech who gave us the estimate never offered us an upcharge for Stain Removal, contrary to what Ms. Langenwalter says below.
