To call this market little is only seeing it from the outside. I always thought it was small, maybe because of the hoards of people This store fools you from the front, and I didn't realize for the longest time that they have another entrance on the other side. The produce is fresh here, the prices are cheap, and it really does feel like a market atmosphere as the people go at it for their groceries, and line up, sometimes a mass line up to pay the bill. It does help their business, knowing that they are the only ones here now selling produce, with the Safeway gone (Bestbuy now), there is no other selection, but they are fair, and the prices and crowds and quality show. read more

I don't know why this grocery store is located in the middle of the mall. It should be closer to the parking lot. Well, I mean if you end up buying a lot than good luck on carrying it outside. I guess you can get some help. Well Langley Farm Market does have a few produce with great prices. For example, potatoes. My favorite great for holidays making mashpotatoes. It seems like their potatoes are always on sale. $3.50 for a 10lb bag. Not bad. I mean my dad calls this place the potatoe store. yes, may be generous for just a produce store, but does have great prices, plus a bakery & meat section to boot too; in a mall like this, it's nice to have a place to go instead of the busy Superstores/Safeways etc. Looks much bigger than from the outside. Ever since the Safeway left here years ago, this is the next best thing, enough to get the basics for a home dinner. Not that it would apply to me since i'm out eating anyways lol. but can recommend for sure, has all the veggies/fruits you need! The black sesame swiss roll was expired on that day when we purchased it but they sold it with regular price. It was not worth the price because it did not have much black sesame in the swiss roll. Also, the price on the receipt was higher than the price tag on the shelf for the coffee cookie. I did not understand why so many people shop there because the price of their products is not cheap and the quality is the same as elsewhere. I would not return because it was unethical for them to charge customers extra money. That is just another form of stealing money by deceiving customer. read more

Cheap prices with good produce, but this place failed my MysteryShop in EVERY department. On my report, which I am hired and paid to do, I could not check off ANY of the requirments of the shop. there were about 100 items and they failed each one. I wasn't greeted or acknowledged in any way throughout in the entire 10 minutes of my shop. The floors were littered with debris and even entire fruits and vegetables were rolling around in places. I slipped on a crushed piece of rotten spinach on the floor. None of the employees wore uniforms/aprons/nametags/store tags to distinguish them from the customers. I wandered around looking obviously in need of help and even the workers working within a couple of feet didn't offer any. The cashier started scanning my items right away without looking at or speaking to me except to tell me the price. When she mumbled it and I asked "I'm sorry...? I didnt quite hear you" she glared at me and yelled TEN NINETY SEVEN!!" in a great huff. For a little more money, I'll shop at Kins where the workers are neat and wear uniforms and nametags, jazz music plays, and everything is pretty and tidy, the floors are spotless, and you're so inspired to make fresh meals that you buy too much ...but then they help you to your car and thank you for coming. Langley Farm doesn't deserve a cent of my hard earned money. Filthy store and unpleasant employees - no thanks. And don't tell me it's coz they're Asian immigrants. I'm an Asian immigrant. If the people working at McDonalds' can handle a 20-person lineup of tired, rushed, hungry, irritable people, - and do it all with good grace and a smile... don't tell me it's not possible. read more

I like that this little market is right inside Lansdowne Mall where you can go shopping and then go to the grocery at the end. I come here for the fruits and veggy because they are super fresh and super cheap and lots of variety. The only down side is that because it's such as great market, there are long line ups. read more

If you're looking for produce in central Richmond your options are pretty much Superstore, Save-On, Kins, chinese supermarkets and Langley Farm Market. Conveniently located in Lansdowne Mall, I come here frequently to get fresh produce which I find to be some of the cheapest and freshest around. They also have an in-house bakery (breads/desserts), a meat section, frozen seafood, basic dry goods (sauces etc), dairy, and a deli with decent prices for deli meat. I love the idea of local produce stores in malls...its the true all in one experience! read more

We usually come here for their bakery items. Some Asian bakeries in Richmond don't list the ingredients used in their food, but at Langley's Market each item has all the ingredients listed in English on the back. It's pretty helpful if you suffer from food allergies or have dietary restrictions, and we really appreciated this. Like most Asian bakeries, if you purchase 6 items or more you don't have to pay tax. They have a really nice selection to choose from, too. You have your chicken buns, beef curry buns, hot dog buns, green onion buns and other savoury items to choose from (like mini-pot pies and the like). The hot dog buns, in particular, are excellent and highly recommended. We pick up at least a couple every time we're in Landsdowne. Langley's chicken buns tend to be larger than ones you can buy from Maxim's or Kam Do, and they usually have more meat than similar buns in other Asian bakeries. They also sell have pineapple and coconut buns, apple and custard danishes, tarts, macaroons and Swiss rolls for those with a sweet tooth. We've tried the banana and lemon loaves on several occasions, but they don't tend to be as moist as the ones you can buy from Yaohan's Osaka Supermarket. The sugar cookies are nice, though. Even though the place is always packed, the staff is really efficient and the lines go by fast, so don't let the long lines deter you from treating yourself. We've never purchased any fruits or vegetables from them, but they have a nice selection of local and imported produce to choose from. The prices are reasonable as well, and the store is always clean and well stocked. read more

I've always shopped on the Drive even though it was a little out of the way for me 'cause I am all about the cheap fruit and veggies. I appreciate that there are samples to try before purchasing. This is important to me since most of the fruit is used in cupcakes as sweetness determines my sugar ratio in baking. If you look in the discount section, you can get mad discounts on fruit that are still good, however, only have a few days in their life span. I make purees out of this used in baking and in sauces. You can also cut and freeze these for later use. I bought 4 peaches for $1 yesterday and froze the chunks for a peach cream cupcake. The service is friendly and like another fellow Yelper expressed, since it is in my neighbourhood, it's easy to strike a conversation with others. read more

Great place to pick up your fresh veggies and fruits.. They also have a butcher here now so fresh meat to go with your dinner.. I find their veggies are really clean here and lasts for awhile in the fridge. Prices are competitive. Great place to get all your shopping done. read more

Langley Farm Market has the BEST bake goods. Every time I drive out to Richmond, I always stop by this place to pick up some daily fresh bake good for my family. My favorites are their toast (with milk), sausage buns, pineapple buns, cakes, and triple chocolate (delish!). The store layout is nice and bright, and customer service is always welcoming. This place has very affordable and great produce. It can get very busy but it is worth the wait for the savings. They also sell milk, pasta, canned soups so you can buy what you need for dinner also since they also have a butcher and deli. Staff could speak more clearly and at least acknowledge you when you pay which would be nice. read more

Very good prices for your everyday greens (and apples and lychees and cherries..) Don't expect to find anything organic, but a portion is locally grown and their quality is often better than your regular big chain grocery stores. Just be warned that the pig heads on the freezer section can unsettling. read more

One of the cleanest Chinese supermarkets I've seen in Richmond BC. It reminded me of whole foods store. I love how they converted their baskets with a pulley. It's a brilliant idea, wish they would do that in the states. The quality of the food we bought looked and tasted really fresh. I would definitely come back. read more

Not sure how they do it but prices and selection of fruits and vegetables are great here! There is a meat section and a small aisle of dry goods & condiments. Organic choices are limited but available. I don't live in Richmond but whenever I'm at Lansdowne Mall shopping or having lunch with mum & dad, this is my go-to place for produce. read more

Going downhill. Low stock very common and very busy with rude people, as can be expected when a produce market is located in the mall. It seems every person who comes into Lansdowne Mall is in this store. They often have unique deals on produce but of course, it's ymmv. Quality can be hit or miss. read more

Fresh looking produce with great prices and a clean store front; I like this farmers type market. They also have a great bakery tucked inside that makes AMAZING mango & strawberry streusel pies for only $3.99. What a deal!!!!!! Bakery Review: Do not purchase there cakes. They claim it is fresh, but it is not. I purchased a 'Napoleon' cake on Dec. 24 and the expiry date was Dec.29. On Dec. 25, my family decided to eat the cake, but when we took our first bites of the cake, the cream had a bad odour and taste. The cake smelled like cheese and tasted sour. The cream also looked old and changed from cream colour to a yellowish colour. My husband and mother-in-law took a bite, and spit it out right away. I went to back to return the cake the next day and the baker and the bakery worker argued with me that the cake was fresh. I argued that we could have had food poisoning if we ate the cake and it would have been worse for me since I am 6 months pregnant. I asked for the manager and bakery worker said nothing and just gave me another cake. Well, the cream on that cake also went bad in a day. The customer service was really poor. I don't know how a business can run like this. PLEASE DON'T BUY ANY BAKED GOODS FROM THEM FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY'S SAFETY. I will never buy any baked goods from them again. read more
