At the Richmond Oval for a weekend tournament and looking for take out food options. Stopped by T&T as it is so close and recalled they do have a fairly extensive hot take out options. Sampled four of their proteins and quite enjoyed the pork balls. One pays per weight. I did find the price a little high ($10) for what I selected...but it filled the hunger void and was extremely convenient. It was a positive food experience but have no plans to return. read more

I love t&t. It's absolute chaos, but if you know where you're going and what you want to get, you can do it swiftly. Their dim sum section is so good and fresh. It seems like I always tend to go there when they've already closed but from the few times that I have been able to catch them it's super fresh quality and very well-made. The Bakery is the number one reason why I go to T&T. Their cakes are so light and fluffy. I really like their fruit cakes, but I like to get it with the fresh fruit option. It is more expensive, but it really does make a difference in flavor. It's a little bit hectic when you're ordering a cake through the phone and I'm always scared that it might not be ready when I get there. Unfortunately that was the case in one of my particular moments where I had to wait 45 minutes past my pick up time for my cake. I had a very unpleasant experience at this store On August 23rd at around 8:35 PM, I went to Cashier No. 5. She was joking and laughing with other staff before my turn, but once I came to the counter, her attitude completely changed. She gave me a cold face, didn't say a single word, and even threw my items carelessly while scanning. This kind of extremely bad attitude made me feel very uncomfortable and disrespected. As a customer, I don't think it should be hard for management to identify the cashier given the exact time, date, and cashier number. Very disappointed with the service. read more

After being blown away by my first visit to a T&T Supermarket at Burnaby Metrotown, I thought we needed to go again to buy MORE things, and go to one in Richmond where there's a larger Chinese community. I thought it'd be bigger and better, but it was the total opposite! This T&T was smaller and way less hectic than the Burnaby one. This T&T seems to be in a newly developed area as the buildings, infrastructure, and landscaping are pretty clean and new. This store feels like your local grocery store rather than a big chain store. There's free underground parking with plenty of stalls. The inside is clean and spacious. The sections aren't as huge and abundant as the other one I went to, and not as plentiful, especially in the produce, meat, and seafood section. The produce and meat had the basics, but the seafood section barely had anything and all the fish and other shellfish didn't look fresh and good quality. The prepared foods section was really bare besides sushi. The other items were well stocked, but there were barely anything on sale. The items we wanted to purchase more from the Burnaby T&T didn't have it here at the Richmond one. Overall, I guess all T&Ts are created different. This one just didn't have it, but if you just need the essentials and don't want to fight the massive crowds, then this is the perfect place. The staff was friendly. This has become our "Go-to" T&T out of all the locations, I like that they have underground parking and also there is a dim sum restaurant, HK Style Cafe in the same building! Seafood and meats here are always fresh, and with a good selection too, as this branch is not very busy compare to the others, you can feel more relaxed when browsing the isles. I also find from time to time they have selected items that you cannot find in other T&Ts e.g. Crystal Crab from France, limited edition of Häggen-Daz ice cream from Japan etc.! They also have a dining area that has a view of the river, if you feel like it pick-up some sushi, noodle soup or even a piece of cake and enjoy the scenery! read more

The young male cashier used the divider to point at me when I put the items on the magnetic belt. He looked like he tried to hit me with the divider and there was no point for him to do that. When I tapped my credit card on the credit card machine, he said loudly and incessantly, "Tap, here, here, tap." That was rude, unnecessary, and insulting. He made me look bad. When I first went into T&T Supermarket, I was totally "oh-my-gawd" this is awesome! It's huge and it looks like it has everything, which it does seem to meet all the normal expectations. After wandering around long enough, I realized I wasn't as pleased with this all encompassing McMansion grocery store. The prices are somewhat higher than I remember items ought to be. Some aisles look like an impressive array of everything but when I dug in looking for Amoy brand eggplant garlic sauce, I didn't find it. Very surprised by that. I was going to buy some ramen 5-pack on sale, and then I noticed I had to buy 2 to get the discounted price. No, I didn't want 10 of them. And surprisingly, later I found the same item at the same price at another grocery store and it's not even on sale there. Grrrr. I did end up buying a couple of Japanese cherry blossom sweets that are uniquely seasonal at the moment. That was nice. One good thing about this location is the parking underneath. Drove to Vancouver for the weekend to checkout the night market at richmond. I met up with my aunt for dimsum, and next to that dimsum place is T & T SUPERMARKET. When you drive up to it, you immediately ask yourself, am i still in canada? Hahaha it definitely looks and feels like you're somewhere in hongkong or china. Lol So you walk in, and this place is huge!!! It's an asian emporium! And it smells like an asian supermarket too, you know what im talking about? So we didn't really go there to do some grocery shopping, insteas my aunt was bragging about their egg tarts, how they are the best of the best! I love egg tarts, ive tried the ones in Macau called Lord Stow's, and this is a close second. Flaky, not too sweet, each bite is just creamy heaven in your mouth. (Creamy heaven? Lol) But you get what im saying, egg tarts, T & T is where you wanna get them. I bought 6 boxes to take back with us to seattle, and my friends and family loved it! read more

T&T is a chain supermarket in lower mainland. We could get almost everything at here! They opened this one at Richmond Oval a year ago. I finally checked it out after dim sim at next door. I rarely buy stuff at T&T coz I prefer quality of food rather than anything else. But, one stop grocery shopping Is very convenient for a lot of people. This is definitely my favorite T&T store in the Vancouver area. There is a parking garage below the store that is convenient and free. While this location is not as big as the Burnaby location, it does have more than enough Asian essentials for the average shopper. As an advantage, this place is not as crowded and dirty. Also, I find the hot food here to be better than the other locations and is sold by weight. The other T&T locations sell food by the number of entrees. Therefore, I can get the exact amount of food I'd like. Lastly, there is also a great view of a river from the dining area. read more

As the empire grows... as they say, another location and in Richmond, finally leaving the comfortable confines of No. 3 Road.. and plotting themselves around the Oval, they are definitely strategic! The newest baby of the group to keep the T&T name and not name it 'Osaka'... this one is situated in one of the newer condo buildings.. as they are raising like grass around this area like the Spring season! If you have been to one... you have been to them all, yet this one has some improvments... as it is NEW!!! One of the things this one does have is underground parking, and not murderous close, fit like a glove, parking stalls where it's known that everyone who comes to this chain of supermarkets drives anything the size of a boat! This parking lot is a bit better, but before you even enter... there are warnings going into this place, as in.. sure the entrance for your car is wide, but watch out.. cause some person may be riding middle coming up the ramp, and then you have the horrible parking jobs in spots that were supposed to be made easier for you due to size. When you finally park the 4 wheeled chariot, you go up a ramp that has arrows, so you know which side to walk, cause not everyone walks on the right side of the road.. as I have learned, and after walking past the big screen playing some Chinese music video... you are welcomed to this fresh new store. When you walk in you do notice the natural lighting from the garage like doors on the outerside that in warmer weathers will probably be open, allowing seating for people who purchase food here to eat, cool concept. Right in the front the display is set up for any specials that are going on... currently all the special stuff for the upcoming Chinese New Years celebration! The place is smaller than most of the other stores the empire has, so I find the produce area smaller, but they do a good job, like the bananas... which are hung on a wall, they have a centre island area for the prepared cold foods, they have a take out noodle window, the bakery (cold cake) area running along the wall, also in the back the seafood and butcher area running along the edges, this place makes space for what they are lacking, and due to this probably feels bigger than it should. When things are new, that's when they feel great, and this store hopefully can still feel like that moving forward, but for people who live around here, it's the only thing without jumping into a car, and the Loblaws group knew that there would be many Chinese people in this area.... smart... definitely. Not as much selection as the Osaka, but I am usually around this area more... and not having to drive that far... you take what you can get! read more

When I first came to this T&T location, I thought was Dynamite!! (watch this video on Youtube to understand my reference of Dynamite - https://youtu.be/v19PpD5uqL0 ). Much better liked by me than the Marine drive location in Vancouver, this place offered free parking. That's a bonus. I liked the store layout and today it is still clean and well kept and the parking is still free for up to 3 hours, so you can shop at your leisure. Now that this building is complete, it has a few other shops and restaurants to support it. A micro community that has transformed this industrial parkland to a more urban living landscape. That's another bonus. Now on to the good stuff. Cosmetics. YES! They actually carry a line of cosmetics and facial care and body care products that come from Asia. I never thought to think of this, never even looked at what was in those aisles till now. WOW! OK so they're overpriced, but at least now you have a resource for some of your items if you're familiar with them (aka you came from Korea, Japan or China and love those brands). Amazingly this division of Loblaws has got to be the best place for me to shop. Right next to the Richmond Olympic Oval, it's a new T&T away from the hustle bustle of central Richmond. Free and designated 60-90 minute marked parking spots can be found in the underground parking lot located around the backside of the store. Once parked, you walk up a concrete slope up towards the store front. Brand spanking new and it shows with its refreshingly bright and modern feel. This store is nicely organized and has vibrant produce, dedicated aisles to sauces, face and body care, cooking utensils, noodles, snacks, frozen foods, fresh seafood, bakery, hot dim sum, hot noodles made to order, and all things Asian and the occasional western items sprinkled in as well. When I visited around 8pm on a weekend, it was surprisingly quiet. It was a pleasant feeling to be able to shop around freely and without bumping into walls and squeezing past people. Hopefully the hype of this store has passed and with two T&T's in Richmond now it stays manageable, clean and organized as it looks presently. Also, once it gets warmer, it looks like the doors can open up to the street and fresh air where there are tables and chairs that you can probably eat the food you've bought and/or rest after your busy shopping trip. Been waiting for months ever since their sign popped up that they were opening soon, with all the new condo development going around by the Richmond Oval, T&T may have hit the jackpot, no competition here. Today's grand opening, so picked up some great deal on the rosemary garlic frozen lamb chops; half price to $8.88 (of course lol). and what a zoo! they literally had traffic controllers, dressed in grey uniforms as i don't think they know where the chilli sauce would be---telling shoppers to go one way, as if these aisles by the seafood weren't tight enough as it is. So we had to wait for aboout 10 shoppers go by, before the other way of traffic was allowed to go thru haha. It's a huge wide, store but to be honest, if you're claustrophobic, you shouldnt come here; i wanted to venture out to check the rest of the store out, but i eyed an opportunity for me to line up at cashier without barging of course, so I just took off. well, i paid of course lol. free 'underground' parking but only height restriction is 6'7" so forget it if you have a rack on top, that really sucks. of all the t&t's, this new one is its own design, decor wise, it's more Westernized, actually put some TLC into the decor as it's quite cozy (without the zoo) and warm colours, esp. at the main entrance when you walk in. Heard a lot of good things about this new T&T supermarket, but after visiting it last night, have mixed feelings about it: 1. Like a few others have mentioned, parking could be better. The whole underground lot feels very cramped, and the space I ended up parking in was unbelievably tight. It took several attempts to fit in the spot and not have the car door scraped by a concrete pillar. 2. Speaking of concrete, the walkway from the underground parking lot upstairs to the retail floor (if you don't opt for the elevator) is unusually long and quite ugly. 3. Why do shopping carts require a loony? Many other places are only 25 cents. The baskets with handles and wheels are a good idea though. 4. The store inside is nice, but again feels somewhat cramped as well. My wife felt the same way, and also didn't care for the ultra-bright lighting in the cosmetics aisle (said it almost gave her a headache). 5. Selection and prices seem good, comparable to their other locations. Sushi bar looks excellent , and the baked goods and desert items section looks very well done. And I was amazed at the size of the King Crabs you can get in the seafood section! read more

Spanking new T and T. Unfortunately they don't sell the sticky rice rolls like Metrotown. The eating section is small so it's better to pick-up the food and go. I like coming here and looking at all the food more like a culinary museum of wonder. Rarely do I actually buy anything unless something is unique and on sale. I do love Asian bakeries as their sugar content in pastries is much lower than other conventional bakeries which makes it easier on the sweet tooth. Plus I love most things green tea flavor. In spite of this being a culinary museum, the crowds are as annoying as f*ck. They can't or don't know how to walk or know what the f*ck to do with themselves when walking. They're worse than babies learning to walk for the first time. The ladies at the cash til are deadly slow that you just want to punch a kitten in the face (figure of speech, I don't really want to hurt a kitten) in frustration. The line-ups, regardless of what time or day are painfully slow thanks to the cash staff. I think a turtle passed me by when trying to wait to pay for my sushi today. The prices are reasonable if you know where to look for the sales. read more

The cashiers would always ask for the rewards card and because mine wouldn't scan, one cashier finally said to apply for a new card and TNT can transfer my existing points to the new card. Long story short - TNT said my points were deleted due to 6 months of inactivity. After 5 months of speaking with TNT Ora and head office, they said they would not re-instate the 140 points. Reputable companies would always re-instate your points at least once and I relied on what their own employee said, that, TNT can transfer the points. Even AirMiles reversed their thinking. You can't redeem until you reach 200 points and then it's valued at about $2.00. So for less than $2.00, TNT is saying we don't want your business! I'll shop where the customer is appreciated. read more

Came here the other day on my lunch break cause I was craving BBQ (What a surprise...) So I pigged out and got a pound of the BBQ pork to chow down on but I found it wasn't as good as the Marine Gateway location. I found that the meat from here was too try for me and was lacking flavour. It wasn't terrible but I will stick to the Marine Gateway location for now. This was my first time going to this location. I was excited about this place. Given I was here on the weekend, I thought I would know my way. It was a zoo! I thought it would be better just before closing. You need to look out for others' parking skills in making turns and looking a spot. The lights were all censored but I guess one of the switch wasn't working so it was dark in the one of the corners. The ramp reminds me of the one in Richmond Superstore. As soon as I walked in, the design made me think of the West Van Osaka. I wasn't even planning to line up for the deals and all sold out as expected. Most of the vegetables and fruits were pre-weighted and wrapped in styrofoam and saran wrap (same as Osaka in Yaohan). Was this to avoid customers touching and squeezing them? How environment unfriendly was this?! It would be a little better if the containers were paper/biodegradable. Prices were roughly the same as Yaohan. It opens 9am-9pm. This is much earlier than the other Asian supermarkets in Richmond (maybe restricted from the condo?). I would rather visit the old T&T and/or Yaohan if I need to. So I don't see myself coming back anytime soon. It would be reasonable for them not to keep the T&T on No 3 Road but it would be a sad news. PS: I got caught by taking photos in the store. It didn't say anywhere that no photos allowed. I guess they do not care about any kind of online advertisement. The security did not understand the concept of "snapchat." I told him I don't have any photos in my phone. I was excited to explore a new T&T, but was so disappointed. The ramp, like Superstore Richmond, is a major fail (see my Superstore Richmond review). This ramp is even worse actually because you can't bring your shopping cart or basket so everyone has to walk with a bunch of heavy bags. Furthermore, the ramp is not wide enough and I felt a little claustrophobic. The inventory was good though. All the same foods and services you expect from T&T. I don't live in the area and doubt I will ever go back. read more

Best Asian supermarket in North America. I go there to get a quick bite and get fresh food, best when you have kids. The one by the Richmond Olympic site has been the best with fresh made noodles, quick food and dim sum. Awesome. read more
