Parking is the usual $1 per day and there are electronic machines were you pay, but note that they do not accept credit cards, so bring some coins with you. There is a ticket office here that is open at times for purchasing tickets and has a small waiting area and a bathroom. If the ticket office is closed, then no bathrooms available and tickets will have to be purchased onboard. No food or beverage for sale within the ticket office, so you'll have to get your morning coffee elsewhere. There is a Wawa not too far up the street.

Brick walk way and the historical train building and covering over the platform- definitely gives you a serene vibe than standing on a concrete platform a plastic bubble house with minimum seating. There are lots of trees in the background too that's brings color during the fall. Since land is scarce to expand in the area, parking is better than some of the small stations ( Ardmore) but not as plentiful as some of ones out in the further burbs like Paoli. I have not counted but wiki says 117 spots. With people still WFH they parking is easy to gets spot during AM commute and Free now Usually $1 day. Warning- when I commuted pre pandemic you were out of luck by 8am to find a spot. Negative is that the parking is a bit crammed and there are parallel spots to the tracks that are across the parking spaces. There is litle space between the two so when back out you have to be careful not to hit the car parked parallel to the tracks. Also it's a one way parking lot so when when everyone is coming in in the AM and coming out in the PM it's a wait. You can also get a monthly parking pass in a selected lot on the westbound side. Convenience - a Wynnewood shopping center and Whole Foods , Starbucks and First Watch is a block away. If you are in the area and plan to commute in the a regional Rail I pick this one. 15 min ride to 30th St Station - yay!-

Buy a roundtrip ticket, check the schedule and hop a 30 minute train to Philadelphia and go where you please. It drops off conveniently at the Convention Center as well as multiple other stops that make Philadelphia more accessible for those that live in the suburbs. Train schedules are quite different from morning to evening to weekends so I would make sure to research accordingly. Parking at the station is $1 and you must pay in quarters, you've been warned. It's convenient to surrounding towns and is a major train station for everyone who commutes into downtown for work. I'm a fan.

The station itself is non-existent except for something akin to a bug shelter. There is no ticket office and there is only a money box for you to insert quarters (or an envelope for money). Following the directions on the SEPTA website, I did park my car for several nights at this station as I took the train to the airport - you basically need to insert an envelope and check into the parking payment thing that clearly states your car and how many nights you will be parked. Seems a bit primitive given our technology these days, but hey it worked! This is also the last stop in Zone 3, so anything beyond this is Zone 4 pricing which is a few bucks higher.

There is parking but it's normally filled up with people commuting towards Philly. If you do want to park there, make sure to take quarters with you (4 to be exact) and find the big, thin, inconspicuous box with coin slots to drop in your quarters into the appropriate number to pay for parking. It's $1/day so that's nice. Also, make sure to take with you cash to pay for your fare because the train conductors don't take credit cards. Trains are normally not on time (aka late anywhere from 2-3 mins to 15-20 mins). This is what passes as public transportation here.

Facilities are close to the railway line and called a roof to shield any prospective customers from the elements. (Note period) yep! That's it! Why five stars? Well, it works well for me as a spare station should the conductor forget to stop at New Britain after being asked to stop. It's far enough for me to express my displeasure to the conductor and move up the train to put my toes on a platform rather than drop the 3 ft onto stones. My expressed premise revolves around the fact some third world countries have better train systems and conductors than R5 in all its glory!

It even looked a bit abandoned. If there was an office there, it was not open. But, what it lacked in amenities was made up for by its convenient location as our family's house is literally a stroll away. Great for us but it must be so noisy living there. We departed from Philadelphia's Suburban Station which took less than an hour at a mere $6.75/person. On the way, I got to see parts of Philly I've never seen before, ditto for my spouse who's originally from the area. After arriving we needed to get to the opposite side of the tracks in which we used an underpass walkway that was close by, which thankfully was clean an uninhabited. OVERALL: I love no-crowds!

The parking situation is chaos, there are double parked cars pretty frequently and everyone is parking in every spot possible. There are quite a few "unmarked" parking spaces that people like to create. It's a bit confusing to drive to the other side of the station, but there is an underground stair well to get ot the other side. As for the little building itself, the heat is not always working, sometimes they forget to unlock the door, and sometimes homeless people like to spend the night. There is no ticket office at this station, but there's one of the new electronic kiosks (that I haven't used yet). Another downside is that not all Express trains during the rush hours stop at Penllyn. This station and Gwynedd Valley are the last two stations in Zone 3. Beyond this point, you're paying Zone 4 fare prices.

You are better off getting a taxi or private car for the time it would take to make connections for the airport.

Used SEPTA for the first time today and they actually had an attendant working the ticket station…read more(not used to that in Boston). She approached me and offered advice for which ticket to purchase with the new SEPTA key, how much to purchase down to the penny to ensure every pass I use will deduct down to zero instead of some odd amount, and how to register my card and get $4.95 back. Surprised how easy she made it. Subway car came on schedule, was clean with seating, had AC, and was much quicker than the T in Boston. Station was typical to expect for public transit in a non financial or tourist area: its a little dirty outside the gates and has its regulars around the station.
