Even as they begin to see more patients I am never rushed and have always been seen for an appointment right on time. I HAVE recommended Dr. Spriggs to all of my family members. All the staff at Round Hill Family Practice have been great with everything from insurance and billing issues to last minute scheduling. They even call back the next day (if possible) with test results even if there is nothing wrong. In my opinion this is exactly what a medical practice should be.

Let's start with the front desk, as that's the first thing you'll see upon arrival. The receptionist (and billing person), Maria, is one of the rudest people I've ever encountered. She called me once to ask a question (I honestly can't recall what about) and when I called back her first words were, "Why didn't you pick up when I called?". I was floored. It was the same day! She argued with me about the craziest thing that was HER fault! I later spoke with the doctor about it and he convinced me he would handle it. Based on the comments from others, I am certain he didn't. She's completely toxic. More on her later. I am by no means a snob, but the aesthetics of this place are downright disgusting. Everything appears to be from the 80's, from the wallpaper to the curtains, to the flooring to the weird clown fabric decor. Maybe they should have used some of the money they basically stole from us to redo their office. We came for both allergy shots and for pediatrics. We came every Saturday morning for nearly a year for allergy shots. Each time we came in, we were charged for an office visit. We never saw the doctor, just an inept "nurse" who sometimes showed up to work. I thought this was the norm until I called around to other offices. We were basically charged twice what we should have for an ENTIRE YEAR! While this isn't illegal (I consulted my insurance company), it is completely unethical. I've since found a practice that does our shots each week for the cost of just the shot. Now, let's talk about the pediatrics. I brought my son for his annual physical, which is 100% free with my insurance. I received a bill for a co-pay of $30. When I called Maria (there she is!) to discuss, I was told because I "asked questions during the visit" and because my son still used a pacifier, it didn't qualify as a regular physical. This is what finally cost them my business. They are unethical and should not be allowed to practice medicine. It is absurd how we were treated! I've been struggling with pain & undiagnosed chronic health issues for 2-3 years. There's been a lot of doctors where I make an appointment while I'm in the middle of debilitating pain but they can't see me for a month, then a month later my condition isn't the same upon the time of appointment. The doctors can't recreate my symptoms on the spot in their office and because I didn't end up in the hospital, they determine that my condition is probably just stress/anxiety and they just order more blood work to "just be sure." I've had to redo this process at least 4 times over the last 2-3 years and I'm still experiencing chronic pain. At this urgent care, the doctor literally sat next to me and scrolled through recent blood tests that I had on my phone and reviewed them on the spot rather than asking me to send them to her directly, she was willing to look at the video recording I had of my muscles uncontrollable twitching, she did an ultrasound of my entire upper body on the spot, she had more blood drawn to get a few other tests done on the spot, she gave me an MRI order for multiple areas of my body on the spot without requiring me get referred to a specialist to get them and wait months, and literally addressed all of my concerns within a single visit. This process would have taken me 2-4months with specialists and my previous primary care physician. I do not yet have a diagnosis but having found a doctor who was willing to simply listen to my experiences, run tests, and attempt to address my problems in a timely manner after 2-3 years of chronic pain feels like a blessing. He treated us very disrespectful and unprofessional. Everything because I asked him to explain the reason for the high amount of copay I was being charged when my medical insurance had confirmed it was a less amount. I asked for the contact information of his billing department and that's when he became hostile, refused to provide it, told me to look for another place to take my daughter to and took my daughter off the schedule for PTs without notifying me. I found out she was off the schedule as I called the office to cancel the appointment one day because my daughter got sick. Vinod Mathew is very arrogant and needs customer service training. His front desk staff and PTs are good though.
