I wasn't feeling well yesterday, my wife took me to MetroMed urgent care, because she said it's the place where they will "fix" you. Thank God I don't usually get sick but when I did with high fever, I had to see doctor. It was easy check in process, friendly and quick. Doctor did full body check, diagnosed me and actually found some other health issues with ultrasound exam that I need to follow up with specialist. I picked medication on the way home from the pharmacy and the next day I felt better. Highly recommend this practice. read more

I've been struggling with pain & undiagnosed chronic health issues for 2-3 years. In general, it takes MONTHS to get an appointment with specialists, get tests run, and honestly just have a doctor listen and be willing to order various tests. There's been a lot of doctors where I make an appointment while I'm in the middle of debilitating pain but they can't see me for a month, then a month later my condition isn't the same upon the time of appointment. The doctors can't recreate my symptoms on the spot in their office and because I didn't end up in the hospital, they determine that my condition is probably just stress/anxiety and they just order more blood work to "just be sure." I've had to redo this process at least 4 times over the last 2-3 years and I'm still experiencing chronic pain. At this urgent care, the doctor literally sat next to me and scrolled through recent blood tests that I had on my phone and reviewed them on the spot rather than asking me to send them to her directly, she was willing to look at the video recording I had of my muscles uncontrollable twitching, she did an ultrasound of my entire upper body on the spot, she had more blood drawn to get a few other tests done on the spot, she gave me an MRI order for multiple areas of my body on the spot without requiring me get referred to a specialist to get them and wait months, and literally addressed all of my concerns within a single visit. This process would have taken me 2-4months with specialists and my previous primary care physician. I do not yet have a diagnosis but having found a doctor who was willing to simply listen to my experiences, run tests, and attempt to address my problems in a timely manner after 2-3 years of chronic pain feels like a blessing. I called this facility to ask if they did free Covid testing. They said yes. They said if I made it out by 1:00 PM, I should have the results needed by the time I needed them. I take the 30 minute drive, call when I get there, they tell me to fill out the digital form that they will text me, and nothing else. A woman comes out and swabs my nostril, she says nothing as well. She hands me a form with instructions on how to get my results. I go on my way, easy enough. About two hours later I get a call from the office saying my test will be $200 because of needing the test due to an event. This was the first time that this was brought to my attention. When I expressed my displeasure the only response I got from the caller was "we'll throw your sample in the trash for you". So now I am without a negative test for the event I am supposed to be attending, and wasted my time and gas on driving all the way out there. My best guess is that this place preys on people in need of a quick result or quick care, and does this type of crap. Unprofessional. read more

My wife and I had several COVID tests done there and were very impressed by the quality and care of the staff. When it came time to test our special needs daughter, Christine, we didn't hesitate to go there. After the test was completed we found out they now switched labs to Quest Diagnostics instead of Mdlab. I went to check for the lab results using myQuest and when I set up an account for Christine it wanted to check her credentials. It did this and was asking questions that were not even close to her information. What rental car did you last rent, what car did you own? She is special needs and had no access to any of this verification. So we were locked out for 76 hours and Quest is closed on the weekend. I left a message for Quest and the MetroMed Urgent Care center in the hope that someone would be able to look at Christine's test results and give us her results without waiting until Monday. MetroMed was also closed, but David Vaynman was monitoring the phone and gave me a call back later Sunday. I explained to him that my wife was Christine's legal guardian, and Christine could not communicate effectively to understand or ask about the results. We had to quarantine ourselves until we got the results back. He was then able to tell me Christine's results. I wanted to tell everyone this story because David took time out of his weekend to hear my story and went above and beyond to help ease a panicked and worn out parent. He was a breath of fresh air. First time patient sign in was confusing and had to take pictures of id, then sat there for over 40 minutes waiting to get an OPEN WOUND DRESSED. Doctor Beckwith, and infact the Entire staff are absolutely some of the best! I had been dealing with severe issues with exposure to Mold as a result of having lived in an environment infested with it. (Just as an example of how bad it was visible mold on the bathroom linoleum when we left instead of replacing it new linoleum was merely laid over the old, I wonder how many old layers where under the old o.e....) A Common problem with American Health Care is most Environmental Illnesses are not easily treated or recognized by the AMA. Even so Doctor Beckwith was absolutely understanding and willing to work with me on it (I couldn't even get my PCP to do that, at one point they even told me not to call them if it was related to my mold issues...) For years I had felt Health Care in the Leesburg, Purcellville area was really struggling even falling to the dark ages of medicine. Dr Beckwith & Staff, Are exactly what not only we need but what America needs, if we had more Doctors like her American Health Care would be so much better! My first day moving into my new home and I get a splinter in my foot. After trying numerous pinterest ideas on how to remove it, i finally broke down (with the persuasion of my family) to get it looked at. There was no wait, no lines. The staff was extremely friendly and couldn't be nicer. The dr looked at my foot, gave me a shot for the pain, and removed the splinter which turned out to actually be broken glass from the move. I'm not going to lie. I was a total baby about the whole experience. (It REALLY HURT!) But, they were so nice, gentle, and caring. Other than the shot hurting, I didn't feel a thing and was able to return home to my hoards of boxes to be unpacked and things to do. Hopefully I don't need to visit again, but if I do, this is the place to go! :-) read more

Dr. Beckwith saved my husband's life. He was complaining of a chest cold but actually had a spontaneous pneumothorax (collapsed lung). Because she is an ER doctor by training, she did a chest x-ray and called 911 and had already started his IVs by the time the ambulance arrived. Had he gone to another doctor who was not ER trained I am not sure they would have caught it based on his chief complaints. It also would have probably been too late but the time he left a reg doctor office and then went for a chest x-ray elsewhere. I have written recommendations for her before because she is truly an amazing doctor who has helped us more than I could have hoped for with our chronically ill daughter but thought this deserved another one! read more

I am not a regular yelp reviewer but felt that this urgent care center needed another 5 star-rating! I needed to be seen and was really discouraged by some bad reviews for other urgent care centers but came upon this one on yelp and it indeed deserved the other ratings it received. The office was incredibly clean, and the entire staff got me in and out within an hour at most. There were even things for my four year old to do in the room while I was being examined. Trish was knowledgable and her bedside manner was fabulous. You can also send your prescriptions to your regular pharmacy (unlike another urgent care close by that makes you fill on-site) and after starting my treatments I am starting to feel better! Thanks!
