So when I called about putting in new bathroom fixtures because I was going to reglaze my tubs and Jimmy mentioned that they do that as well, it seemed like a good deal to just have them do that too. I've done it before but I didn't really want to. He even offered a guarantee for the work. Nice. Except I then find out they have zero clue how to refinish/reglaze a tub. They came in with not enough supplies (I discovered days later that they used my painting supplies that I had stored there to paint the apartment so obviously there was lint and debris in the glaze). They did one tub in white and the other in gray. Then told me it wasn't gray while we stood there looking at gray. They came back a 3rd time after I complained and I was feeling hopeful because they scrubbed it out and did a thin layer which might have worked out but then they came again and applied the second (third) coat and it was horrendous again. I was gonna eat the loss because it was clear at this point they didn't know what they were doing but everyone was being a good sport about it. But after seeing this work , Jimmy asks for the remainder of the payment. What? You should be offering me my money back seeing as how I will not be able to get a professional to come repair this and may have to buy tub liners now. So I balk because this is embarrassingly terrible and I'm definitely not sending more money for it. He tells me to let it dry and they'll come back on Tuesday which would be the 4th try. He didn't show up or call and I didn't expect him to. I've shown that vacant unit 6 times since last week and you know what ppl ask if I'm going to fix....the tubs. I used this service October 23, 2015. I had water and dirt coming up in laundry room and a sewer…read moresmell in the upstairs bathroom. I called indicating the problem and a plumber called me back. I was at work at the time and didn't get off from work until 5pm I wouldn't get home until 6pm. The plumber stated anytime after 6pm would be an emergency thus service would include an additional fee. So I left work early to meet the plumber by 5pm. I get home at 4:45pm. The plumber does not show at 5, 6, 6:30pm I call Genous Plumbing to let them know I haven't received a call with an estimated time of arrival especially since I took off work early to meet him. No apology or anything. After speaking with the dispatcher the plumber calls to state he is behind and should be there in an hour. The guy gets to my house an hour later with his son. His son open the hatch where the water line is in the garage and I show the plumber where the access is in the front yard. It's almost 8pm so it's getting dark quickly. The guy rods from outside and in about 30 minutes he say it's done we're finished. The charge is 185.00. I ask what if this happens again. He states your guaranteed for a year if it happens again just call us back. The next day I smell the sewer in the upstairs bathroom. Call them back out same guy doesn't smell anything. Fast forward to April 12, 2016. Doing laundry in morning find sorted clothes soaked in water and dirt / sand grit. Call Genous Plumbing dispatcher asks who was the plumber I said the fat guy with his son; dispatcher states he will send plumber to come and check it out. I ask about the warranty on the service since its been less than a year. He states I need the receipt to see what the warranty is. The plumber said it was a year. I have the cancelled check to establish when the service was performed. I'll look for the receipt. Mind you that was 6am Wednesday April 13th. I am writing this review Friday April 15th at 9:55pm and I ave yet to see our hear from anyone at Genous Plumbing. This is the WORST SERVICE I have ever had in any type of repair or troubleshooting of issues in my home. I will not recommend this company for anything, my next contact will be with the BBB. Home advisor is a great vehicle to find reputable contacts for home projects. I wish I had utilized them for this project. If you have a plumbing or ridding issue do not use Genous Plumbing
