I had given this place 5 stars but that has changed. This place has become a dump. Thefts and homeless people everywhere. They charge property tax and on top of that the rent in almost $4k for a 3 bedroom that doesn't even have central A/C. Feel bad because maintenance is probably the best thing about this place. The maintenance guy is always on point. I do not recommend this place they charge for everything. Property taxes, trash, sewer, water, and a random service fee?? I was on vacation for 2 weeks and no one was home and my water bill was the same even though we don't have our designated water meter. Like I said, only the maintenance guy and the cleaning guy seem to care about tenants they're the reason I'm giving 2 stars and not 1 star. AMC management company is all about the money. read more

My husband and I moved into our unit in 2022 with help from Hannah. The application process was smooth and easy, and we were approved quickly. Hannah was incredibly helpful and welcoming,she made everything so much easier. Unfortunately, after about a year, our unit started having recurring sewer leaks. It was one of the few units that hadn't been updated yet, and with a newborn in the house, it started to feel unsanitary and unsafe. We brought our concerns to Jill, and she was absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond to help us, offering us a newly renovated unit for the same rent. Jill is simply the best! Our family loved her. She was always cheerful, friendly, and always have smile on her face. We thrived in our new two-bedroom apartment for the next two years. The only thing I'd caution future residents about is that the units are fully electric, which can lead to high utility bills. Other than that, everything else was taken care of quickly and professionally. Whenever we had a pest issue (mainly ants), maintenance requests were usually handled within 24 hours. And if not, a quick call to Kim would solve it. Kim was always on top of everything, she even followed up with me if I forgot to submit a request. She takes her job seriously, and Lantern Bay should be proud to have her. As for maintenance, Ernie was the best! My son absolutely loved seeing him around. He was always extremely friendly, kept us updated on repairs, and made sure the job was done right. These wonderful people truly felt like part of our family. We wish them all the best and will miss them very much. They didn't just impact me, they impacted my son. He grew up there, loved swimming in the pool, taking walks around the complex, and seeing the friendly, welcoming faces in the community. My husband and I always said it reminded us of a campground, people were always out and about, talking and enjoying each other's company. Lantern Bay was a special place for our little family, and we're so grateful for the memories we made there. read more

My family and I lived at Lantern Bay for just over 6 years. We absolutely loved living here! When my husband and I made the decision to move out of Lantern Bay, we both agreed the person we would miss most would be Ernie. He is amazing! He's been there from day one with help on maintenance or just a great conversation:) When maintenance was required, Ernie would clearly communicate how long it would take and what had to be done. Update: management reached out to address my earlier review. I'm satisfied that they were willing to find me a place there. Unfortunately I already found a place having waited several months already since I toured the complex. My review of the property is that the apartments are very nice as are the grounds. Love the little patio area I saw. I really considered taking the one bedroom but just a little too small for my needs. I took off one star only because of location on busy street. If I ever am looking in the area again I would consider this complex. Previous review: I asked to be on waiting list for two bedrooms several months ago. There are 3 two bedrooms available and they never contacted me. I've had this complex bookmarked for years. I guess I won't be living there. Also I got push back from the girl who showed me an apartment because I'm retired. Thats probably why I was never actually put on the waitlist. read more

Hannah is amazing and we were here before when Matt was in charge and although he was awesome this place has only gotten greater! Management is so responsive and Ernie who handles maintenance is so fast and reliable and professional. We love this place!! The only issue I have here is parking but it is what it is unfortunately we have been on the waiting list for a second spot for a LONG time now. Street parking is worse so if you have multiple cars this is something to consider before moving here. read more

We met with Hannah today for a tour of this wonderful apartment community. Let me first start out by saying how wonderful and amazing Hannah was. She greeted us with warmth and enthusiasm and she was so thorough with our tour of the facility and left nothing out. She took her time to explain all the lovely amenities the community has to offer. The surrounding areas are so well kept, clean and peaceful. Sadly at the time of our tour there are no available apartments so we are on the waitlist, but hoping something will become available soon! This is a hidden little gem of a community and if you are looking for a wonderful and peaceful place to call home, then this is your place. This is a must see! read more

I had the best experience a tenant could ever have.. over the weekend my kitchen faucet broke from all the use we had put to it for the past almost 5 yrs. I submitted the request and first thing in the morning Monday morning I had I phone call from Jill requesting a little more info on my request she then gave me the approximate time someone would come over to fix.. having my mother home as a stay home mother she was EXTREMELY happy with the service Miguel Barajas gave her.. super professional did his job in a timely manner and to top it off he clean his working area.. mother was beyond happy with his work the time n him explaining what had happen THANK YOU MIGUEL.. hope to have you come over and fix our repairs to perfection read more

My husband & I took a tour of this complex this week and were blown away by how beautiful the grounds were. Everything was very well taken care of, and clearly, the management team takes pride in ownership as everything was clean, consistent, and very nice. We loved the location, we loved the interior & exterior, and the parking situation was everything we were looking for; however, it just did not work out as there wouldn't be a unit available sooner. While we did not end up moving here, I highly recommend checking this place out. It's clearly a hidden gem in Orange as everything is within a gated community, has a friendly environment, would be ideal for families and pets, and is just super cute overall. Special shoutout to Matthew in the office for being so nice and patient with us. We are bummed it did not work out timing-wise but we appreciate his hospitality! AMC should give this guy employee of the year because he is so helpful, knowledgeable, and clearly LOVES his job - very rare to find these days. Thanks for everything, Matt! read more

This has still been the best apartment complex experience I've ever had! There was rarely ever an issue, but if there was it was addressed same day and most days within the hour. The grounds are super well kept and the pool is immaculate. The only reason why we are leaving is because we purchased a home. I hope the next family enjoys this community as much as we did. The moment my husband and I stepped into the Leasing Office, I fell in love! The property is clean and beautiful, the property manager (Matt) is probably the nicest human being you'll ever meet, and the apartment itself was homey with a modern twist. After signing our lease, we had a couple of maintenance issues. Lo and behold, Ernie, the maintenance guy, was quick to respond and fix. Lived here for a year. Parking is terrible and management will not tow cars that are blocking your garage. Jacuzzi hasn't worked for the last 3 months and the dog park is smelly and not maintained. For a $2700 a month 2 bedroom apartment I had expected more but unfortunately all you're paying for is the location. Ants and roaches are pretty common in the summer and fall months as well. All appliances are on electric so monthly utilities are high too. The community is really dog friendly which is great. Staff are also happy and friendly. Hannah, the main site manager, does a great job of helping her residents but it seems like her hands are tied on certain things. read more

Moving to Lantern Bay was one of the best decisions I've ever made! My apartment is beautiful, and I feel like I'm living in a small house. The community is clean and pretty, and my dogs and I are so happy here. The neighbors are very nice, and I started making friends within a few days of moving in. Special shout out to Matthew, who is the manager. He is so helpful, and so kind. I've lived in other apartments, and I've never had a manager or staff who cared as much or as well as he does. He knows me by name, and is always happy to see me. Tara, who works on his days off, is also very sweet. Ernie, who is the site maintence man, is also amazing. There is nothing he can't fix. Everytime I see him, he asks me how I'm doing and to call him if I ever have any problems. read more

If you are looking for a place that is going to be convenient to move into look elsewear. They have been asking for so much information it's ridiculous. Not sure if it's because of a racial thing but it felt that way when I spoke to one of the office attendants. They didn't say anything racist but I made a suggestion about how we don't all have access to email and she was rude about it. Hannah is helpful and wasn't like the other office attendant but the amount of information they are asking for is ridiculous. I applied for a house 3 months ago and they asked for less info. My previous apartments can't disclose if we are "good renters" so they want to increase our deposit. Our pay stubs and great credit with great salaries aren't enough they force you to send verification info to your employers and is overall a waste of the application fee. I'll take that loss but just be prepared to waste a ton of time and possibly 45 dollars per application since they want to pressure you on the ridiculous amount of info they require and want it ASAP. read more

I have been living here for about 6 months, and it has been a pleasant experience so far. I really love the street parking availability for guests and residents. That's very rare in Orange County. Another huge plus is the great management team. Matt and Ernie are the dynamic duo. When I send in a maintenance request, Matt (when available) responds within minutes. Then within 24 hours (sometimes within a couple hours!), Ernie comes by to solve the issue. The grounds are nicely kept, and the pool area and gym are always clean. I appreciate the friendliness and attentiveness that was shown to us from day one. It may be a bit expensive compared to other properties, but it is definitely worth it! read more

We came to visit Robyn at Lantern Bay Apartments on Sunday afternoon and I was thrilled we did. Not only did Robyn have great customer service, she was thorough, understanding, delightful and patient. These qualities are diffult to find now days. The grounds were beautiful and updated. The complex is newly rentivated and Robyn has exceeded and refreshed our expectations. We are looking for a 6 month lease to revisit the units, we are not able to rent now because they do not have any openings. The Lantern Bay Apartment staff themselves have made my over a year residency one of the most welcoming and comfortable environments I've lived in. When I have a problem major or minor as it is maintenance is always on top of it and very responsible when things go wrong. Though I've had little about of problems the staff make it seem like there is none unlike living on your own with no maintenance crew to help you. The complex by its self is very beautiful, clean, and safe for loved ones for even pets and kids. I definitely recommend Lantern Bay for anyone in need of housing. I first want to begin by saying how much we loved Robyn, she was so nice to see us even though we did not have an appointment. I recommend an appointment though :). The grounds are so pretty and the company is investing more and more into it. We really did love the area as well as the style apartment homes. We were really torn between this place and two others we narrowed it down but the real deal breaker was the electric stove and no ac in the bed room. I am someone that runs very hot so I would literally have to sleep in the living room every night. We loved everything else but if I can't sleep I would hate to see the first person I would see in the morning :-O. I recommend this place because of Robyn and how beautiful the area is. If those two things were not a problem we would have for sure submitted applications. We are so thankful for the time that was spend with us. If you guys want a homey feel take a look here. We LOVE our apartment. We love how quiet the community is. We love how modern everything is inside of the apartment. The ceiling fans in the bedrooms is a huge plus. Our neighbors are great. We LOVE Matthew. His amazing personality is the reason we choose to rent here. We knew we would be in good hands. The few minor service calls we have made have been fixed right away. The maintenance takes pride in keeping the community clean. The pictures online are very accurate as to how the community looks every day. The community is always clean. I've lived in several apartments throughout orange county and Lantern Bay is by far the best. The cottage style apartments with no neighbors below or above you is amazing. I have lived here for over a year now and when I was searching for a place to live Lantern Bay took the cake by far. As far as apartment living goes this community is very beautiful and friendly and I have been happy since the day that I moved in. Management here is FANTASTIC. Matt is very understanding and helpful he knew that this was my first time paying any type of rent and he made me feel comfortable and let me know that he was there to help. the other thing I LOVE is the quick maintenance response I get here, they have things fixed within MAX 3days. I can have my dishwasher fixed even while I am at work and I get updates throughout the day, it's very convenient. I am very pleased with the space that I live in and the service that Lantern Bay provides. I don't see myself moving until I'm ready to actually purchase a home. read more

DO NOT MOVE HERE if you are a business professional. This place is filled with college kids and multigenerational families. I live next door to a screaming baby, two dogs and at a three to four generation family that appears to have 10-20 people coming in and out of their apartment all day long. DO NOT MOVE INTO the middle APT of 1469. If you do the gate will be outside your bedroom window and you will hear it slam all night long when the college kids have their parties. The walls are paper thin and even our movers apologized to us for having to live here next to people that are so loud and love blasting techno music and movies. I have not slept in 6 months with the couples and roommates fighting and gates slamming outside our bedroom window. Living here is the worst decision I have ever made. I will happily pay the $1,500.00 to break this lease and move somewhere much newer and nicer with a greater level of sound proofing. read more

My daughter is graduating from Chapman University. She spent the last two years renting at Lantern Bay. She has had a fantastic experience overall. As an out of state parent it has been an absolute pleasure to deal with the management-First Robyn and now Amy. They have been very attentive to the girls needs and any issue(not many/nothing major) was dealt with swiftly. The three girls renting there have NEVER had any safety issues-a big concern for us parents. The grounds are beautifully maintaned and wish I lived closer to use the pool. My wife, my daughter, and I have lived here since April 1st 2016. Thats 27 months. Never late on rent once. Last month we informed the women in the office that this would be our last month as we are finally moving into a house here in Orange. We were informed that we are responsible for paying NEXT months rent here even though we will no longer be living here. That's 2,485 dollars. But let's back track. When tenants vacate, Lantern Bay hires what appears to be day laborers to update the vacant apartment. Numerous times these "construction workers" whistled, yelled, and "cat-called" towards my wife as she and my 13 year old daughter walked to the car to head off to work and school. This was reported, and in consolation we received a FIVE dollar Starbucks gift card. Comical. These workers still show up here and work. About a month or two ago water started seeping up THROUGH the floor from beneath the building, completely drenching numerous rugs. Their answer to this was put a huge loud dehumidifier in our kitchen. Three days later I come home from work to walk through puddles in my kitchen again. Finally some professionals were hired. Leak was fixed.... now for the past two months we have lived with holes the size of milk cartons in our walls, that NOBODY has attempted to come patch and paint. Dont be fooled, rules are not followed here, people in the pool drinking at all hours of the night, this is apparently a smoker friendly complex. Be prepared to have strangers parking in your assigned spot as well. Lantern Bay, You really dropped the ball on this one. Posting this EVERYWHERE. Thank you for the POOR hospitality. read more

I recently viewed this location with my boyfriend. We met with Robyn, she is friendly and helpful. She answered all of our questions no problem - great customer service. The apartments are beautiful, spacious and renovated. The added bonus is Lantern Bay accepts pets, finding a place that accepts our dog is very important.
