The presentation was good and Dr. John St. John was very knowledgable. Initial Consultation -- I visited in October 2019. I have some back pain so I decided to make an appointment. They provided a discount for my co-workers and I to come to a initial consultation ($47). The price is normally over $150. So with such a good discount, I made an appointment. We were told that the initial consultation would be 2 different appointments but when I went to my actual appointment, I was never told to come back for a 2nd appointment because my health issue was "minor" Appointment -- Almost an hour of my appointment was spent completing new patient forms. After completing the forms, I was taken into a room to do some test where my heart rate (?) was checked. Finally, I saw the choiropractorci doctor (Dr. John St. John) who only spent about 12 mins with me. I was hoping to have at least 20-30 mins with the doctor especially for my initial consultation but I literally got less than 15 minutes. No X-Ray was performed. The doctor just physically scanned through my back. I was told that I would be given written, detailed feedback after my appointment about solutions to my problem but I didn't get any. I had to email them to get feedback and the feedback was basic. Granted, I understand that you can't provide super detailed feedback for someone who has only had 1 appointment so I'll give them that. They also don't accept health insurance so if I were to go back to get choiropractic adjustments, that would cost $80/hr which is too high. Overall, this clinic does seem to care about your well being but I was disappointed in my initial consultation. It felt as if they only cares about getting a new patient and money. We also reached out to them for information about birth doulas, and we connected with Risa. Risa was incredibly helpful during our prenatal and labor times and as an outreach in postpartum. Being first-time parents, we had open conversations about what to expect with birth which helped us shape our preferences while knowing things could change at any time; they provided an incredible opportunity for us to ask questions and talk through concerns as we came closer to our due date; and when it came time for delivery, we knew exactly how to contact Risa and be sure of what we needed. At the hospital, having her by our side helped immensely through her vast knowledge and expertise. Risa kept us calm and ready with a positive, upbeat energy and helped navigate obstacles with our medical team as they came up and checked in with us postpartum to see how we were adjusting. After leaving a voice and text I finally got a call back and was told that Morledge didn't have capacity to see me for at least month and I would need to wait for an appointment just like a normal clinic after paying. $4000 per year to be treated like a normal clinic?!! Insane and frustrating to dump time and money into doing the right thing for health and be met with such apathy and misguided advertising. The challenge was finding a facility that would not just "house" Mom, but one that would comfort her, engage her, make her feel independent and safe, a loving environment with a friendly and caring "community" of compassionate people, a place she would comfortably call home. Arden Courts Has proved to be like no other facility we've experienced. Never did we think Mom would be comfortable in a "locked" environment. With Arden Courts unique architectural design, Mom is free to independently walk around through courtyards and gardens leaving and reentering at will. Never does she feel cloistered or overwhelmed by "institution" like hallways and corridors. Loud noises from the hustle and bustle of large number of residents and visitors simply does not exist.
