Had a big wedding week with the family, and needed a day to decompress before heading back to reality. I did a quick search for a cabin between the San Juan Islands and Portland and this spot popped up. It was exactly what I was looking for. A Rustic tiny house in the middle of the woods. Lemongrass the sweet orange cat greeted me upon arrival. So did a beautiful fawn. So much flora and fauna, that you will be immediately engulfed by nature. There are different themed cabins. I passed Glass, Jewel and Cozy on the way to my cabin, Lantern. Plenty of amenities to take this up quite a few notches from camping, and still maintain that disconnected vibe. I was able to use the refrigerator at the fully stocked outdoor kitchen to chill a few things I brought with me. The restroom in front of the kitchen has a modern hot shower, toilet and sink. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided. In the cabin you have towels in the compartment behind the door. There is a heat wave going on right now, but if it was colder, there's a great little space heater inside the cabin. I slept great. Woke up to the sunrise, birds chirping, and trees everywhere. I would absolutely recommend staying here, and next time I'll bring stuff to make s'mores around the fire pit. Five stars. read more
