It's perfect for a little getaway. I came with my youngest kiddo and our dog. We enjoyed the hot tub, corn hole and tether ball at the beach too. A true Washington best kept secret! Quiet, adorable, affordable and fun! I loved how clean the entire cabin was, same for the hot tub (saw them cleaning out another cabins hot tub, they truly put in work to make it nice). We waiting for the tide to come in to go kayaking which was fun! The TV in the cabin pulls out so you can watch from the bed. We brought our laptop and hooked it up to the TV so we could watch movies from other streaming sites. Check-in/out was simple. Everything was super clean. Locals and other guests were respectful and very nice! Dog friendly! Many outdoor amenities. I highly recommend this location! Like I said, it felt like a best kept secret! This is our second time at Robin Hood, and overall it was good. The complaints I had were small- the bed was concave, so my partner and I both ended up in the middle no matter what we did. Also, the heat wasn't the most reliable. I had turned it up to 75, and it peaked at 72 and then dipped back down to 65. The fire pits were nice, but it would be nice to have buckets available for water to put out the fires. read more

I booked a room here on AirBnB late the other night for $300. AirBnB booked it for the following night despite me picking the correct dates. when I didn't immediately get an access code I saw it had booked it for that day. I messaged the host immediately saying that I needed in for this night. I got no response until 10am the following morning. they basically said no refunds. I called and explained the situation and showed how I tried to immediately remedy the situation. She told me not my problem there's no refunds. they basically stole my money because I wouldn't even be allowed to check in. airbnb called and canceled my reservation because I was upset and told them I was going to write about their complete lack of virtue and leaving instant book on while not answering the phones or messages while allowing someone to make reservations that late is unprofessional. We got a Groupon deal for a two night stay at Robinhood Village Resort. We stayed on Monday until Wednesday morning. Restaurant was closed while we were there. When I booked our stay over the phone, the lady was so rude and very unprofessional. We were at Cabin #09 which is pet friendly, with a $20 pet fee per stay. There is no kitchen stove, we had to use the outdoor bbq grill which was fine. Some cabins are located very close to each other. Hot tub was private and secluded. There are kayaks available for free use. Overall the place was okay, nothing special. You get what you pay for. There's really not a lot of activities in the local area. It's an okay quite getaway if that's what you're looking for. read more

If you are looking for a deluxe but cheap place to stay in a unique, and little-explored part of Washington: this is it! The places you stay in are mostly, technically trailers. However, these "trailers" are nicer than any house/apartment I've ever lived in. Oh, and they all come with hot tubs. They have a liquor store nearby, that's how we found this place. It is an adorable spot with excellent food ( portions are huge), but don't come here if you need a quick meal, because you definitely will not get it. First off there were many great things about Robin Hood Village (I am reviewing the restaurant separately). We stayed in cottage #12, we had our own hot tub, the cottage was perfect size for the two of us. Including a small couch/sitting area, a small table with two chairs, TV/WiFi, kitchenette and bathroom. The shower's hot water will run for 15 minutes then it takes 30 minutes to heat back up, this is a posted notice in the bathroom (no tub). There are kayaks to use for free, we did not use this perk as it started to rain. Why the 3 star rating? The bed and pillows were HORRIBLE! I am not sure if the bed and pillows were old or just low quality but oh my goodness we barely slept. My Husband said "if we have spare blankets I would have slept on the ground." For us, part of going somewhere is having a nice cozy place to sleep. Would we stay again? To be honest I am not sure, I love the idea of the cabins/cottages and had thought we would go back with our young children one day... Still deciding. We would NOT stay in cottage #12 due to the poor quality of the mattress and pillow. read more

I don't even know where to begin about Robin Hood Village Resort. First of all, the location is GORGEOUS, placed right off the side of a mountain, next to a beautiful lake. The cottage is about one hour from Seattle so aside from all of the gorgeous landscape, the city is not too far away. I felt a sudden sense of ease upon arriving and the stay I had was one of the most relaxing i've had in a while. We stayed in cottage #11 that has a full kitchen (stove, microwave, oven, fridge...etc) stocked with every pot, pan, strainer and appliance you may need to prepare whatever food you like. The tile was completely new and the entire cottage was spotless. The bedroom had new carpet, new bedding and adorable furniture. I believe the bed was queen size. The outside area was beautiful and two goats take residence there and are owned by the resort. One goat is very sweet and one is very lazy and likes to rub your leg with his head! There is a creek RIGHT outside the cottage that is followed by forest swings, and ropes to play on. During our stay we saw the salmon run and it was beautiful. The creek also runs straight into the lake that is literally ACROSS THE STREET. With its own dock, I was completely taken away with the breathtaking beauty of the area. One of the most beautiful places i've ever seen. The owners are also very sweet and extremely accommodating. We stayed during winter and after 28 degree nights, our water had frozen over and the male owner came and warmed our water supply for us so we had fresh water in the morning. DID I MENTION THAT THERE IS A PUB IN THE RESORT'S PARKING LOT? Craft beers for $4 on draft! The gourmet gastropub burgers and yummy bistro food was delicious. It was like a beer lovers, nature digging, hippie dream for me. I have already highly recommended Robin Hood Village Resort to everyone I know and I cannot wait to go back, perhaps during summer time so I can enjoy the lake and sit out at night at watch the stars. First day the hot tub was working right with hot water...we didn't know that the next day that it won't work at all. The water was very cold n didn't get hot what's so ever...we reported it n they said it was fixed but that wasn't true at all cause it was still the same..we stayed in cabin 11 it was very clean n comfortable....there's two things that I would suggest though...one the shower head needs to be replaced cause there no pressure what's so ever...n two I rather have a t.v. in the bedroom...we stayed there for two nites cause the hot tub.. read more

Cracked plastic picnic table on deck with ancient ashtray completed the setting and dismally so. Private hot tub was open to world on two sides cutting down on the private aspect and was hot enough to parboil us (with posted "rules" stating not to adjust temperature... weird) Other: Bar opens at 3. Friendly staff said they would look into the awful bed, but they must know about it since many reviews talk about the uncomfortable beds. We should have read the reviews first, but just read the 4 stars.The worst problem and it was terrible is the bathroom smelled like sewage the whole time we stayed there. No excuse for this. Restaurant was closed. Hot tubs are exposed to the road. An easy solve is just to put up bamboo to create privacy. We really like the place if the beds weren't awful and the bathroom sewage smell was handled. The smell ruined our time. read more

One of my favourite places I've ever been. My husband and I and my baby spend 2 nights here last week. It was perfect! You can lie on the hammock or swing in the swings by the creek. We also had BBQ everyday and enjoyed sitting on the waterfront. There are kayaks and canoes free of use. The hot tub was perfect! And idk what the reviews are saying, it was the perfect temperature. The locals rule at this run down establishment. Went on the first time last week and it was more like a house party. The music is loud and awful with people standing around getting drunk. I sat at a table and waited 29 mins for a drink. Then the table was so unstable I had a hard time keeping my drink on the table. We had the prawns which were under cooked and drenched in basically mayo. The waitress never came and checked on us and we had to go to the bar to pay. My husband and I stayed here this last weekend for a birthday getaway. It was the second time visiting and had been lookIng forward to a fun evening at the pub followed up with a soak in the hot tub. To our surprise the completely functioning inflatable hot tub that had been there when we arrived had somehow been a stolen while we were enjoying the live music at the pub!! We texted the manager and had a very nice maintenance man there first thing in the morning to install a new hot tub. Management went above and beyond to make this uNfortunate circumstance right! We were refunded the difference between a non-hot tub cabin for the night and offered an upgraded cabin. The cabins are super clean and just right for a couple's retreat. The grounds are beautiful with a creek running through and plenty of places to explore with our dog. Having a pub on the grounds is a great way to enjoy a few drinks and live music without having to worry about how your getting back to your cabin. This place gets 2 thumbs and 4 paws up! Honestly it's with a heavy heart that I even write this review. Robin Hood used to be my fiancé and I's absolute most favorite place to get away to. Two hours north of Portland- it was a perfect escape and dog friendly too! We probably haven't stayed there in about eight months or so but returned this weekend when the weather broke and were met with several crushing blows and changes. First, we arrived and immediately learned that the cabin that we've stayed in a half dozen times before with our eight-year-old Australian Shepherd, has been changed to non-pet friendly. We immediately brought it up when we were checking in which parlayed into it a lengthy phone call of disappointment and shaming from the manager and ultimately an additional $50 charge for a one night stay. The most I've EVER paid in pet fees ANYWHERE. We quickly moved past it as we were trying to kick off our stay and enjoy the rest the evening. We woke up on Sunday morning very much looking forward to the Sunday brunch offering at the pub that we've never tried before. We were the only guests there but didn't think twice. The hostess was nice and proceeded to inform us of the buffet offerings, never mentioning price, nor was it listed anywhere. 'Brunch' by its very definition is a combination of lunch and breakfast. This was a breakfast buffet and a minimal one at that. The sternos weren't lit and the juice was warmer than the food. The sausage was soggy, sausage gravy separated and scrambled eggs had smoked salmon incorporated without warning! What if there was an allergy?! We chalked it up to a "not their speciality" meal and got ready to pay when the bill came. $22 PER PERSON. Our soggy, limited, cold, fishy breakfast was $44 dollars. I was stunned. Astounded. Beyond disappointed and pretty angry overall. In any case, it's the end of an era for us as we will not be returning to Robin Hood nor will we be recommending it/ making it a destination when visitors are in town again. I'm not sure if management has changed or what happened but it's a disappointing loss of what was a very special place. read more

Stayed in "cabin" #8. Felt like a mini trailer. Everything is super small size and not much room for anything. Clean but very outdated. The upstairs loft has very narrow stairs and no standing room. No kitchen amenities so plan on bringing everything yourself (paper towels, saran wrap, foil, scissors, cooking oil, salt/pepper). Hot water tank (once again, very small) kept blowing and after several times we learned where to reset it. No restaurant there and they said it was permanently closed. No one available on the phone when we called on the weekend (left message). Our power went out Sunday morning and never went back on but I believe this was an issue in the whole area. Our hot tub was a coleman "blow up" with no seating but was hot and comfortable. Several others have left reviews about a sewer smell - I did notice it several times but was not bad enough or did not last long enough to warrant a call. Good things: quaint feel and interesting scenery - you can walk up the back hill for about 10 minutes and hit the roadside pizza bar and gift shop. Across the street is the bonus - private dock on water with kayaks and table and chairs. Just be prepared to pack everything you need for cooking and at least in this cabin not much room for larger people. read more

First off, my fiance and I found this awesome Groupon deal last week with the attractive title "Romantic Getaway on the Olympic Peninsula at Robin Hood Resort". I clicked on it, and as I always do... I went on Trip Advisor and Yelp to see the reviews on this place. I've heard great things about the Olympic Peninsula and Olympic National Park, but I didn't know much about the lodging areas. Based on my research, I saw positive reviews with one or two negative reviews, but it didn't bother me much. I went to check out the interior rooms of the resort on the website, and I was impressed with the cozy and contemporary design. My fiance and I decided to book for 2 nights with the resort. We wished we could get the unit with the private hot tub, but I guess it was such a hot deal that the units w/ hot tubs ran out. The day we arrived, we were very very very surprised with the rustic setting: it isn't like a fancy resort facility that you would expect from Alderbrook Resort or Suncadia Resort, but it is like a little village! Well, nobody was in the office on the day we arrived, but they left the room key ready for us in the cottage. There was a nice lady, who seemed to do a little bit of maintenance, helped us get the cooking kit (free of charge - of course) since our kitchenette didn't have a stovetop and pots/pans. Other than that, we were equipped with bowls, utensils, cups, towels, paper towels, toilet paper, TV, small refrigerator, toaster, coffe machine, microwave, bath/facial towels, comfy bed, a warm shower, and wifi!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, you will still get to know what the heck goes on on your facebook and emails despite your cell phone might lose service out there! By the way, we definitely enjoyed the little creek outside our cottage, for my fiance sat outside on those 2 nights he stayed for its water sounds. We enjoyed the overall property of Robin Hood. It has several fire pits, BBQ grill, and a water property across the resort. We didn't get the chance to go oyster fishing or kayaking because we were busy doing hiking at the Olympic National Park. However, I think those activities on the water would be more fun in the summer?? Not to forget to mention two goats on the property... They are so adorable. One would actively approach you and rub his head against your thighs or butts. The other one is kinda passive and just does his own thing. Haha. They are soooo cute! The distance from Robin Hood to Stair Case at the national park is just fantastic. We loved it. We enjoyed it. We just simply fell in love with it. How do I apply to live here?! We stayed in cottage 3 and it was amazing. Robin and Lisa are two angels, as was our waiter (I didn't catch his name). He recommended the lemon prawns for an appetizer and he wasn't kidding, best stuff ever. Hot tub, beds, accommodations, it was all perfect. It even snowed a little on the second night we stayed but the little electric fireplace kept the entire cottage very cozy. I was here a few nights ago with friends having a meal in the bar after going on a hike that day. we already knew our male server was trying to win us over with some less than funny jokes which was fine, and he was friendly. Beer was good, food was fine for being in the area. Not long after we return to our meal, our waiter stops at a party of 6 and begins to loudly share an excruciatingly dragged out off colored joke that was less than appropriate about Chinese people. By the way we all dropped our light conversation on hiking to tune into the joke at the other table, we knew something in the room just spoiled; and it stunk. We all made eye contact at our table, feeling a collective discomfort, loss of appetite and disapproval knowing what just happened was not ok. We settled up not long after and left with a disdain for something we could not quite put our finger on. It was obvious and subtle all rapped up together. I'm also of Caucasian decent, as were most of us in the restaurant. HOWEVER! It is so disappointing, shocking, frustrating and unappetizing to be subjected to disrespectful, racially ignorant jokes about others culture, race, or sexuality. Please educate yourself and Your staff.. or atleast have them keep it to themselves and not to share this outdated and inappropriate humor with guests. It's not funny. Will I return to this restaurant? I will not. It wasn't the food, the beer or anything along the lines. Wow! One of those groupon deals I bought and almost forgot...so glad I didn't. This would be an adorable place to have a party with lots of couples or a small wedding or party. Our "cabin" was super clean, adorable, and had its own hot tub. The town of Union is tiny but beautiful, with a cute little market, a decent place to get breakfast, and gorgeous views. We brought a cooler filled with steaks and asparagus that we grilled up on the super nice, covered, communal gas grills. It was great to have the privacy of not sharing walls with people while still knowing we could walk a few hundred feet and be in a bustling restaurant and pub. Plus, the resort owns kayaks and row boats for guests to use...I want to come back asap!! read more

Got a Living Social deal to Robin Hood and, looking back, would gladly have paid full price for our stay!!! The resort feels like it is straight out of Dirty Dancing or something. There are a few original cabins, bigger lodges, and some really nice trailers. My wife and I went up with another couple and we stayed in separate cabins. We stayed in one of the original cabins which was perfect for us. Small and cozy with all the great old finishings, even the date etched into the mantle above the fireplace! The only bummer is that it does not have any kitchen, just a small refrigerator. However, this was made clear to us BEFORE arrival so we knew what we were in for. Our friends stayed in one of the great trailers which was really nice! It was well lit, clean and spacious. It had a full kitchen and a great electric fireplace. While it was really nice on the inside, we spent most of our time in the hot tub or shell fishing! The privacy fences the resort built around the hot tub makes you feel like you are the only ones at the resort while also still being tasteful to look at from the outside. The shellfishing across the street was also fantastic! While they do have a private beach with little boats, chairs, a fire pit, games, and a crabtrap, the staff also told us of a public beach up the road with better shell fishing. Needless to say, we ate a TON of oysters. We grilled em, fried 'em, and ate 'em raw. The license needed was only $16 and we more than ate our share even if we had only fished during that weekend! The staff is also super fun and the pub/restaurant on site was jumping each night we were there (fri and sat). Despite that, it is was very quiet and we would never have known how busy it was if we went to bed early - it is that quiet! read more

My wife and I got married here in Sept of 2016 and it was quite magical. We rented a significant amount of cabins and was not disappointed! The staff was awesome! They went above and beyond to make sure our every need was met. After reading some of the reviews on yelp, I felt I needed to share one of our many positive experiences here. The staff was willing to help us set up tables and chairs (in the reception area) and helped us break them down as well. As far as the other reviews go, #10 doesn't have a hot tub and it clearly says that on the website. And for the guy who couldn't figure out how to get in his cabin, the email they send u with the receipt has the specific instructions for checking in- READ THEM! We had a very short stay at the Robinhood Village cabins and I can only say I wish it had been much longer! We stayed in Cabin #10 which was the perfect size for me, my fiance and our lab. There's a little bathroom, queen size bed, TV and DVD player, kitchenette (fridge/freezer, sink, microwave and coffee pot) and couch. It was so quiet and peaceful we actually slept in. They let us check in a little early at 2:20pm (check in is supposed to be at 3pm but we arrived at 11am, we killed some time by driving out to Lake Cushman which was SO worth it). The woman who checked us in was SUPER nice, she let us know the seals were extra friendly this year and they might try to go home with us :) She gave us recommendations for where to eat and visit and what was within walking distance. The grounds for the cabins are so cute! There lots of things to entertain you: bean bag toss, tetherball, swings, a cute little creek out back and more than enough places to start a firepit. For dinner we went to the Alderbrook Resort which was spendy but incredbly delicious and in the morning we kayaked (for free!) on Hood Canal amongst the seals. If you stay here you HAVE to take advantage of the free kayaking, it's the glassiest body of water I've ever been on, not a boat in sight and we waited until 10am to even get in the water. For breakfast after we checked out we went to Union Square Deli which you can walk to if you take the trails behind the cabins. We will be back and we'll stay more than one night next time! :) The only negative is sort of out of their control, there is like negative cell phone service so expect it to be an unplugged weekend. There is WIFI but the signal is super weak. This was fine for us but we did get lost a few times without the maps on our phones. And of course, it might have been a problem if there was an emergency at home since neither of us received any of the phone calls or texts we missed all weekend until we got home. read more
