Amazing food! Everything was great! Best hand pulled noodles I've had! Small space, and you can see the chefs making each order from scratch

Walked in on a Saturday around 7:30pm, was instantly greeted. Food was so so good. Spicy beef noddle soup had so much flavor and spicy, beef was so tender and melted in mouth. The chili oil noodles were my favorite, so savory. Also had the pork dumplings pan fried, SO big and full of flavor. 10/10. Employees were really nice, interior is small but comfy. read more

First let me state, we never made it into the building. That is not an issue because we were aware that this may happen. Plus, this is a SURE sign the food is excellent Issue: crowd control. We were 8th in line so I am not as annoyed as person in front of line. A group of 4 walked up and thru line, with intention. We all assumed they were getting pick up. They marched in and sat at a table that a family was beginning to leave. Staff saw this and did nothing. Actually gave them menus instead of doing the right thing and sending them to end of line. The group was contacted by the people at the table. When the group showed the people at table got up. That is when we left. read more

In my opinion, these are the best Chinese noodles in Charlotte. Fried rice and orange chicken were excellent as well. Good service.

Food was good, but service was a little off. Orange chicken and pork fried rice was really good. Braised beef noodle soup was good except beef was very fatty and not a lot of beef. I saw this place on TikTok and met a friend there to try it a couple weeks ago. I had the chili oil noodles, and OMG. The spice is probably a 6 or 7 out of 10, and the flavor is just incredible. That coupled with the wide, handmade noodles with the best texture makes this dish SO delicious. I have since been back twice, both times again ordering the chili oil noodles and they have slapped every time. The portion size is generous too. This is very much a hole in the wall, so don't go expecting ambiance or anything fancy. Go enjoy some amazing food, or get it to go. Employees are very friendly as well! read more

We love this place! We had hand-pulled noodles soups, stir fried shaved noodles, taro bubble tea, & coconut balls for an appetizer. Unique to Charlotte. Hand pulled noodle soups are more LA and NY. Glad that they are coming here. Try the beef noodle soup to start and finish with some sesame balls. The AC needs to be a little stronger since the kitchen is open air so come either early or later in day. read more

Recommend the chili oil noodles! Great flavor and fresh food! My kids loved figuring out how to eat the long noodles with chop sticks.

My two companions got the chili oil noodles (one asked for milder than the usual, which was not that hot) and shared some with me. Next time I need my own bowl all for myself! Delicious flavor and the chew of the loooong wide, flat noodles was incredible! I don't know if I've had any this good yet in NYC or SF area? I also think the stir-fried green beans were the best I've ever had - blistered tender yet still firm and so tasty without some overwhelming goopy sauce. My main was the beef noodle soup, which would be lovely comfort food on a cold day. Broth had nice deep flavor with star anise and meat slices so tender. Noodles were good, but thinner and less al dente than the chili oil ones. Definitely have to eat here again! read more

Food was good, however the service was not. I ordered dumplings for the table and someone else ordered sesame balls. After perusing the menu we ordered our main dishes. Those arrived but still no dumplings or sesame balls. I asked about the dumplings which should have been served before the main dishes. A waiter tells me they are out of dumplings. Our original server was not aware but when she placed the order no one in the kitchen told her. The other waiter asked if I wanted something else. I chose the Buns which were terrible and I sent them back. The sesame balls had still not been served. When the waiter checked he said they had forgotten. He re-ordered them and they arrived after we had finished the main dishes. There is clearly a communication problem. read more

This was our first visit to Lanzhou. Very friendly and helpful service, and plenty of comfortable seating, so we decided to dine in. I had the braised beef noodle soup, which was delicious (tho I am not a fan of cilantro), I had plain iced black tea, which was excellent. My wife was intrigued by the ShanXi chili oil noodles, which she enjoyed, and the boba milk tea, which she did not. (it seemed well made, but was not a drink she would order again, anywhere) The server suggested that we add some of he tableside chili oil if we wanted more spice. We both did, and this was a good way to do it. Overall it was a pleasant and interesting experience, and we will return. read more

The noodles here are excellent. We had a ramen soup dish with noodles and beef and a noodles and beef stir fry type dish. Both were excellent. Great taste and served fresh and hot. The egg rolls were fantastic as well. Great service as well. Will definitely return and try other dishes in this authentic Chinese restaurant. read more

Great handmade noodles, mapo tofu, and eggplant with chili sauce. I moved from NYC area 6 months ago, and this place is close to the quality of Flushing Queens Chinatown. Based on a couple of other comments, I just want to say, when we went a couple days ago, there was no air conditioning. I don't know if the AC is broken, or if they're just trying to save money. Regarding the service, it is fast and efficient, and it is Chinese, with a "matter of fact" attitude. It is not anywhere near the friendly welcoming service of the American south. This is a cultural difference. These guys are not Americans just with a Chinese face, these guys are from China, where it is considered rude to be friendly in the American style, so please don't be offended if they are standoffish, it's just how they were raised to behave in China. Treat your visit to this restaurant like a field trip to China! read more

Food was 10/10... noodles were fresh and broth was so tasty! They also served one of the best shrimp fried rice we have had! My daughter has a shellfish, peanut and egg allergy..the restaurant staff was so patient with me when calling to if a dish had any of these ingredients. Very disappointed, the beef noodle is very thicker and not cooked enough. The soup just tastes like water besides the AC is down. Therefore, they keep the door open and you will see flies anywhere. Definitely not worth to spend $15 for such a poor food. read more

Decided to try a new place on a Saturday for lunch. It was fun to watch the guy behind the counter, making the hand pulled noodles. Some of the best dumplings I have had. The people were really helpful with choosing which bowl to get. My husband and I got two different bowls and both were delicious! Definitely would go back and try some other things again. We enjoyed a fantastic lunch here!! Small eatery, very clean with a friendly and enthusiastic staff. We started with some smashed cucumbers and the fried pork dumplings. Both appetizers were excellent, the dumplings were especially tasty dipped in some of the chili oil and red vinegar on the table. Our main courses were one of the noodle dishes (with diced pork and cucumbers) and one of the noodle soups (the tomato and egg). Both were ordered with the thick/wide noodles. Both dishes were sensational, the noodles are definitely the star here. Prices are reasonable and portions are large. We will definitely return!! read more

I was in Indian Trail and was looking for something different to eat. I was on yelp and this place showed up. There was only one review and based on that review I was sold on the hand pulled noodles. I've seen hand pulled noodles on TV shows and I thought it was cool so I wanted to try it. I came for dinner And I ordered the spicy hand, pulled beef noodles and pork dumplings. It has to be said that I had Pho for lunch at Pho An Hoa. Lets just say, at least for me, Chinese beef noodle soups do not hold a candle to Vietnamese pho. Not saying these hand pulled Noodles are bad but I guess after eating Pho earlier in the day the Beef Noodle tasted really really bland. I wanted to add fish sauce or something in there . This was my first beef noodle soup so I'm not sure how it was supposed to taste. I will say the noodles were cooked perfectly and I did really enjoy the noodles. But the broth was just too plain for me. I give it a 6/10. But I'm not sure I'm fair because I'm kind of comparing it to Pho and I don't have any other beef noodle soups to compare it to The pan fried pork dumplings were just OK. It wasn't anything special. It was good but nothing blew me away about 6.5/10. I hate knocking on this place. There were a lot of Chinese people there so I'm sure its a good Chinese restaurant. The menu offered different varieties of authentic Chinese food In addition to the beef noodle soups. It reminded me of Bao Bao up in Huntersville. We were so excited to try this new spot. Excitement quickly turned into disappointment. Once we were finally seated it took at least 20 min before anywho looked in our direction. We stopped several servers throughout that time, but one of them stated that they were busy. unacceptable. We contemplated leaving but extended some grace considering they are new. A server finally came over, my son ordered a boba tea, they were out of boba. We ordered an appetizer and 3 meals. The food came out one by one, 10 minutes in between each. And when we inquired about where was our appetizer, they informed us that they ran out. No one informed us until we inquired We asked for ice in our water, but they claimed they didn't have any more, although every table surrounding us had ice in their cups. Including the people that came and sat down after us who got served before us and were constantly checked on. We were ignored and no one ever came by to see if we were enjoying the food, if we needed more water, just nothing. Note:, we didn't get any ice until I pointed out that everybody else had some but us. Crazy right? I confronted the server and he gave every excuse as to why he didn't check on us but checked on everyone else. The food was not that good to ignore the horrible service. We all hated our food and contemplated leaving it on the table, but we had already paid for it. We thought we could come home and doctor it up so it would be edible. I wish I didn't have to write this type of review, but it was so very necessary and it was absolutely my experience. I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody. Enter at your own risk. read more
