Very good food. Started with fresh rolls which they made with tofu for us. The peanut sauce was really flavorful although a bit thick. We didn't mind at all so just an observation. I got the veggie pho with tofu, Hubbie got the Beef Laab with steam rice. Pho serving was big, broth was good although even better with the hot chili oil they add. Laab serving was adequate, had nice, fresh flavors and was cooked perfectly. Server seemed slightly irritated that I asked for the fresh roll with tofu, but her demeanor changed after that and she was helpful and nice. We will be back! read more

My most favorite place to get Pho I use to only like a place in Portland Oregon and then found out about this place and now it's my all time favorite. I will say their pho is my most favorite dish but everything else they have is absolutely delicious. Edible but would not go again. My coworker and I each got a separate dish (green curry and pad see ewe) and both were unfortunately not that great. The pad see ewe was extremely sweet. This review is about the Phad See Ewe (to go order)..I'm shocked that the rating for this place is so high with what I saw and tasted. Maybe it's because I'm from the Bellevue/Seattle area, but the PSE was grosstastic... Never in my life have I seen a PSE with big chunks of bell peppers, broccoli, celery and an oddly out of place LIME? This ain't no taco truck! There also a puddle of liquid at the bottom of the takeout box which was probably oils and runoff from when they cooked it.. PSE is not supposed to be half soup!! The chicken was bland and tough. I took two bites and tossed it. After the first bite i was disgusted but i had to give it a second chance... No change. I should've known when i saw they served both pho AND thai food... I had a take out order of 4 spring rolls, red beef curry and pad kee mau. The food tasted excellent and portions were good for the price. But could have have more white rice with the order. The inside looked kind of drab so i was gld i got takeout. I stood there for a few minutes at the front desk before someone came out to me. The lady i got my order from seemed nice but distracted and disorganized. I paid for my food on an iPad and i was still paying when she walked away to help other customers. At least finish helping your current customer before you run away to help preferred customers and make sure we pay for the food. I could have not paid and walked off with the ipad if i wanted to. 3 stars for lack of service. read more

First time in, and hungry from just climbing candy mountain in West Richland, we ordered the chicken pho and the beef combo pho. They both arrived with the same unappetizing looking grey broth, noodles and onions and skimpy portions of the respective meats. Was surprised the the chicken and the beef pho had the same grey broth - made me wonder if the seafood pho comes with it too. We were served a side plate containing basil, bean sprouts, 3 slices of jalapeño and two slices of lime. We tasted the broth before adding anything & it was near completely flavorless. Thank goodness for the Korean BBQ Sauce, Sriracha and soy sauce that was on the table, which after dousing our food with, made it at least palatable. Then went in the sprouts, pepper slices, herb and lime. All this for only a little over 21 bucks! What a deal.... Was hoping this would be a keeper, but won't be back. read more

During a quick visit to Richland I found myself at the Lao Kitchen one evening. I ordered the tofu and veggie pho. What a perfect dish for a chilly winter night. Menu wasn't extensive but offered a few different items for those looking for something beyond pho. The stark setting, wall mounted TV (why a TV?!), and ample fluorescent lights do nothing to contribute to ambiance at this little hole in the wall. That said, the cheery staff and delicious food help to round out the experience. read more

Amazing, amazing food...I'd have to say the best Lao/Thai food in the tri-cities period. Very clean and a great place to eat. Food reminded me of the food I ate in Vientiane. Stop by everyone you won't be disappointed. And regarding Henry O's comment about Kendra's wok and roll...I would disagree 100% and so would my other 30 co-workers at PNNL. Her food is bland and has no flavor what so ever. We'd rather make the 5-10 minute drive to have GOOD Lao food. read more

Just moved here from Orange County, CA. I miss asian food so gave this place a try! Had the combo beef pho and it was tasty. On the lighter side for broth, reminds me of Hu Tieu. Springs rolls were fresh and peanut sauce was delicious and thick like a paste. Papaya salad was good except spicy for a "medium". I would order again except mild. The service was good, & the restaurant is very clean. My husband (who is half Laotian) and I ordered the spring rolls, laab, and combination beef pho. The pho broth is very under developed, it needs to be reduced down by about half. Their is no kaffir in the laab (and why are you eating laab if not for the kaffir). This made me very sad. The spring rolls were good, but the flavor again was lacking. It kind of feels like Laotian food "tri-citied" down. On a positive note, the kaffir is an easy enough fix, with some more herbs, some mint would brighten up the spring rolls, and the pho...well just leave it on the stove overnight. read more

Clean fresh food and great service too! The dishes are pretty simple but perfect! Their Pho is great, and recently tried their yellow curry which was awesome. The first few times I had their stir fry which is also great. I really haven't had anything there that wasn't good. Pretty small spot and is a bit quiet, but we love the friendliness of the owner and always feel welcomed (even with our crazy kiddos). Nice to have this clean cozy place nearby when we don't want to cook for ourselves. I really appreciate that none of the food is greasy or oversaturated with MSG. All the dishes are nicely balanced. I try to eat vegetarian when possible and I was so happy to find this place and that they prepare their tofu in such a delicious way (a lot of places fry the hell put of it and it ruins the flavor). I went in for pho but ended up with fresh rolls and red curry. Both were great! I am excited to have a pho place close and will try it next time! This is one of my favorite places in the tri cities. Chicken and Beef Pho are both delicious as well as the garlic chicken and sticky rice. My first time having sticky rice and I was impressed.
