My Family recently purchased 4 new Honda TRX 90 ATV's, had issues with one of them only running on full choke within 4 months of owning them. Took it in to have it looked at and found it had a bad battery which he replaced (free of charge) then found that the carburetor pilot jet was plugged and they did a carb clean. I had to call him repeatedly to find out if the ATV was ready for pickup, communication was terrible. When I finally picked it up from the dealer he rode it out saying that everything was good and that it started right up with the choke which I felt was odd. I got home which was an hour drive to find that the Choke was on full, after warming it up i turned off the choke and it died instantly. I had to adjust the carburetor myself and now runs great. on a side note he promised 4 helmets be included in the sale of the ATV's and he said he didnt know anything about it. He has lost a customer as far as Im concerned, I was not very impressed with the treatment of the place. I will not be returning!!! read more

Purchased new side-by-side from Sandusky dealer in August. Always had difficulty with vehicle not wanting to start, Sandusky dealer said nothing wrong.. took them 6 weeks to mail my plate from Harley, it was bent up, looked like it was in the trash. ‍ Went to Lapeer Honda 3 occasions so far, adding on winter doors, heater, and service work. Was told battery was not stock battery, Lapeer Honda put a new factory battery in under warranty. Starts beautifully now. Lapeer Honda also did an excellent job putting on winter doors, heater, & some other parts. Vehicle was done when promised. Spent a lot of money on accessories. Did get a fair price on parts and labor . Very happy with communication and all work done at Lapeer Honda. read more

I would give them 0 stars if possible. This place is a joke. First of all we called for 3 days asking to see if they had a bike in stock. I was told that the sales rep was busy and that he would call me back. So I drove out to see if they had it in stock. The same person I talked to on the phone was obviously the sales person and stated that the bike I want was a "Unicorn" and that he had it in stock and wanted $2k over invoice for the bike because some people will just throw money at it. What you did was a bait and switch. You advertised one price and then gave a different price when I came to buy the bike. This place is a complete joke and a complete dump. Then you have the balls to tell me you are sorry if I offended you. We will see what Honda has to say about your representation of them as a company. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere as I can not even imagine what it would have been like had there been an issue with a sale. We brought $3,000 in cash with us (ready to buy) and we waited around for an hour to test drive and were never even addressed after our inquiry to test-drive. The owner was on the phone the whole time we were there. They do have a great selection though. The service we did receive was friendly. read more

I am new to the area, moved in Oct 2, 2020 and decided to visit Lapeer Honda. Upon entering parking lot, nice modest size seems family owned. I drive around back to park and notice a fenced in area with some containers and an old house which looks like a dumping ground for old dealer stuff in the windows. I wait until it opens, walk in and first thing I think of is the mess of boxes and parts and accessories stuck here and there. Since there are steps going up or down upon entry I go down after seeing the first person whom responded to me after I spoke loudly with a Hello! The guy behind the counter was busy, telling me he isn't the parts guy, whom had the day off or something. I mentioned I was new to area and was checking out the dealership. He didn't say much after that while I looked around. I proceeded to walk upstairs to showroom. There wasn't a single person up there for several minutes until the guy from downstairs comes up. He asks if there is anything he can do or what am I looking for. I repeated I am new, and thinking of a few different things from an ATV to a SXS or even a little mini-bike for my kids. He goes over to a desk starts doing something, then answers a call. After his call he points out everything there is sold due to Covid and he can't get anything. I left thinking it was one of the worst dealers in appearance I have ever seen. But since I am open to a second try I went back a few weeks later to purchase an inner tube for my kids mini-bike, a common size at that. The parts guy was there along with the service guy. Yeah we have one, as he pulls out a genuine Honda tube instead of an aftermarket item. I bought it and was $27 twice as much as a normal price. I went upstairs to the showroom on the way out. This time, no sales guy and two pairs of families looking around. One of the two guys from parts/service comes up to help to see what they are looking for. The one family asks about a SXS and an ATV to buy! The customer wanted info and to see one for sizing, which there were some outside in the fence area. Parts guy says he has nothing to see and they are all sold out. I head to my car amazed at what I witnessed. I started to pull out and rolled my window down to speak to the family. I said to him..."did I just hear correctly that they don't want to show you anything and pretty much lose a $25 thousand dollar sale?" He said yep and he was there to buy a couple things for his family. I apologized and was bummed I couldn't help him. I just don't understand this kind of treatment from a dealer. Lapeer Honda is HORRIBLE at customer service. Bought a 2017 Honda rancher 4-wheeler in April 2018 when they were all to happy to help. Now after I have an issue with the electrical system and ONLY have ONE Mile on the machine!!!! Now they don't even care enough to return my call's. They lie to me when I do call and give me the run around. Horrible, Horrible, Service!! I Will never buy anything from this dealer ever again!!!! I bought a used four wheeler a while back and ended up not liking it. Paul bought it back for what I had into it well after the warranty was up and got me into one l liked. Recently I bought a 2017 Crf450rx. I smashed the oil filter o ring putting it back together after the first oil change. They did not have one in stock. It's the day before the holiday weekend! ....... there goes my whole weekend..... nope, they pulled one off a brand new bike off the show room, handed it to me and said go have a good weekend. It's all about service after the sale. They take care of their customers. Chris in parts and service is a rock star. He has fixed other bikes for me in the past. They may be I little under staffed but it's a mom and pop store which I like better than the big box stores. read more

My family and I went here to buy a four wheeler on Saturday and right away we were greeted by Paul. We told him what we wanted, and he had it pulled up to the front for us to look over and go through with one of his service guys while he did all the paperwork. It only took about an hour and a half from when we walked in until the time we left with the quad. All of the staff at Lapeer Honda were very friendly and knowledgeable and when we walked out of there I felt very confident about our purchase. Paul never tried to pressure us into something we didn't want nor did he try to up sell us. Never once did we feel like they were trying to take advantage of us. We could definitely tell that customer service was their number one priority! I can honestly say that this was by far our best experience making a large purchase! I currently ride a cbr250, and was scouting some possible new/used bikes to upgrade to. My boyfriend and i walked in, a younger man greeted us and we explained that we were just kind of browsing some 600s. He very nicely pulled one out of the line for me so I could sit on it. I sit for a second, commented to my boyfriend how it felt pretty comfortable, and my bf asked the young man how much the bike was, just out of curiosity. He explained that it was a brand new cbr600, and was about $12k. So we said cool, and I had him push it back in line. The young man walked away as we were still looking at that bike, and then an older gentleman came up to us. The very first thing he said to us was, "Oh, you don't want that one... its twelve thousand dollars, you should look at the older one over there, its about six thousand". ..Wow. So right off the bat, he judged us on how much money we wanted to spend, maybe based on our age, I don't know. So we obviously looked a little thrown off so he then explains that he suggested that because the insurance is cheaper on the less expensive bike.. obviously trying to save face for assuming our money situation. This is when he actually starts to ask me what I'm looking for/how long I've been riding, etc. I tell him I own a cbr250, I've been riding for a year and I'm looking to get a 600. That's when he starts telling me how I shouldn't go with a 600, I need to be looking for a 500 because, AND I QUOTE, "You're a girl, I always recommend the girls go up to a 500 because the 600 is a lot of power, girls don't ever even really crack it open, guys get some power behind them and take risks, but girls back down when they get scared." That's when I get furious, but I humor him and ask what's the top speed on a 500, and he says, "75... I mean 75 is the speed limit so that's all you need to worry about." Wow..so you're refusing to answer my question about the bike now..as if no one you sell a motorcycle to has ever sped before. Ive never been more insulted before. Horrible, sexist dealer read more
