They missed part of the issue (popped tire) causing delays in getting the right items to fix the issue. The Ugly: big storm came and further delayed the parts they ordered. Their bike techs only worked part-time. They did not communicate status with me. The Good: after a month, they did fix it nice. They actually did a better job than I expected, going above and beyond to make it right. They did not charge me for the parts or the repair. They earned themselves a customer, and I ended-up buying a pair of shoes from them. Overall, I give them 4 stars for fixing my bike and making the situation right. But they lose a star for lack of communication.

When I called today, the representative had a terrible attitude, offered no help whatsoever, and claimed the card was already used which is false. They refused to refund or replace it, ruining the birthday surprise. Their customer support is abysmal, with rude and unhelpful staff. I'm deeply disappointed in this company's fraudulent practices and total lack of accountability. I'll never shop here again and advise everyone to avoid them they are a complete scam! This is not the first I have heard about issues like this. I repeatedly told them the card was never even received and couldn't be used, but they couldn't care less. Ridiculous. I've bought over 10 firearms from them, never again!

She took the time to check the wind speeds for the next day, so we wouldn't be scheduling a trip during inclement weather. Once we arrived, the ladies working were extremely friendly and they gave us ample time to check out their merchandise before our adventure started. The kayaks and paddles were in good condition. There are several different routes you can take, a 2 and a 4 mile loop were suggested to us. All the routes will take you past the downtown swing bridge. I would suggest going with the tide either going out or coming back (unless you enjoy paddling the entire time). They also sell kayaks and equipment. They told me that before I purchased a kayak or Hobie fishing kayak, that I could test them in the river. They want you to be happy with your purchase. I will definitely be supporting this business in the future.

My goal was to establish the size and place the order as I wanted a particular Columbia hooded down jacket in a trendy tobacco color. I was approached quickly, tried on a few Columbia jackets and within minutes, the friendly and very helpful sales associate placed the order. In three days, my jacket arrived. It is perfect and arrived just in time for the 32 degree temperature forecasted for tomorrow. REI should be your 'go to' for everything you need for your outdoor activities ... fishing, skiing, hunting, hiking, etc., ... accessories, too. I called them and they were able to work my small issue in the same day. They really know trailers, from axels, bearings, brakes to tow and hitch equipment. Their bread and butter is boat trailers, but they had the experience and knowledge to help me out and did without batting an eye. Maggie (front desk) and Jeff were super helpful, kind and treated me like I was a part of the family, doing some extra work like checking joints and functionality of all the moving parts even though they definitely didn't have to. My experience with Kurt Oberle (High and Dry Boatworks, Pura Vida Productions) was extremely…read morenegative. He charged my credit card a higher amount that we agreed on and refused to refund it. When I disputed the excess charge, he threatened to put a mechanic's lien on my boat. I contacted High and Dry Boatworks for work on my boat. The work was performed by a third party (Barrier Islands Blasting) and I wish I had gone to them first, because the only problems I experienced came from Kurt at High and Dry. As soon as the job was finished, Kurt requested payment. Kurt was pinging me daily, asking about the payment as I tried to transfer adequate funds into Venmo. This was highly unusual, considering Kurt never specified payment terms and never sent an invoice. He explained his daily calls and texts by saying that his boss wanted him to get payment settled, Kurt is clearly owner/operator so that was a weird lie. I decided to pay with credit card. I have the text messages as proof of this: I asked Kurt "So you will charge $X to my credit card? Otherwise I will find a different form of payment." He responded "Yes call with card." A few days later I looked at my credit card statement and realized Kurt had charged a higher amount than we agreed upon. I texted him back about the error and requested he refund it. He said it was a fee and he refused to refund it. I was never notified of this fee, and my understanding was that he was going to charge $X amount as specified in the text. I considered any charges above what we agreed up on to be fraudulent, so I started a dispute with my credit card company. Kurt escalated the situation. He said he was going to put on a lien on my boat until the charge was paid. I'm sure this was an empty threat, but for it's not worth my time or energy to fight a lien over $120. I agreed to drop the dispute, and when I called my credit card company, I found that he had never even responded to the dispute to defend himself. He said when he received the funds he would send an invoice marked "paid in full." I had to contact him several times for the invoice, at which point he sent me an unlocked Excel spreadsheet with some numbers on it, and he said we had the credit card statement as proof of payment. Kurt is extremely unprofessional. He is petulant and vindictive. I would highly recommend that you take your business elsewhere - if you need grit blasting, Barrier Islands Blasting has excellent customer service. If you choose to do business with Kurt, don't pay a dime until you have an invoice that specifies payment terms. I would avoid paying by credit card, since Kurt charged us a different amount that he said he would. I'd also avoid cash, since the burden of proof of payment will be on you.

When I arrived, they couldn't have been more helpful, they supplied everything that I would need, including the wheels (to move it in and out of the water), tie-downs, paddle, life jacket, etc., all for $65.00 and I didn't have to have it back until the next day. The Hobie pedal drive was everything that I hoped it would be, good speed and excellent maneuverability. When I returned the Hobie, they unloaded it for me and rinsed everything off. They also told me that if I was interested in purchasing one in the next month, they would use the rental fee towards the purchase, that's a good business model for taking care of your customers. I highly recommend Time Out Sports and their staff.
