I was disappointed ultimately. I've been getting root touch up and highlights about 4 times a year for 25 years. I tried this salon about a year ago and gave it a solid 4/5 visits. I won't name my stylist because I think they are knowledgeable but...really not a good interpreter of what I wanted and defensive about toning. I know hair needs toning on occasion. But my hair cannot have toner left on for more than 5 minutes as it's super porous and the results are awful. My 3rd visit, the toner (applied by an assistant, not my stylist) was left on for close to 20 minutes. I timed it. No idea where my stylist went. I mentioned it the next time I went in and it didn't seem to go well. The artist seemed irked. Another stylist was at the bowl when we were there (toning) and made a remark about "don't leave it on too long." So my stylist had gone I. The back room and complained. And the other person felt comfortable being bitchy to me. I'm out. I always tipped 20%. Never asked for a color correction. But that was it for me. I told new stylist at another salon I was unhappy with last cut, anxious to hear her option. LaPosh does not fail to deliver. On my first interaction with them today, I called with a rather pathetic inquiry: I broke my arm 2 weeks ago and have not been able to wash my hair. I had been sustaining myself on dry shampoo for all that time and it was driving me crazy. The only thing I wanted was a clean head of hair to match the sponge baths that were necessary while my arm healed. For a Luxe Girl, that was a jagged pill to swallow. Enter Julie: She answered the phone and was sweet-as-pie and told me just to come in when I could, and they would be able fit me in to give me a simple wash. When I arrived, they already knew who I was (arm sling) and I had just a short wait in their beautiful boutique waiting area full of gorgeous jewelry and knick-knacks by local artisans. I was paired up with the lovely Brooke, who did an amazing job. Not only did she wash my hair and condition it to death, but also provided an amazing scalp massage. She then went over the top, attempting to dry my shirt (my fault!) and added product to my hair so I didn't frizz out. I did not request a bow dry, although it was offered. Heather at the front desk was welcoming, sweet, and awesome. I also met another darling colleague named Lisa. It seems like everybody there is truly a family, and their clientele is very loyal for a good reason: they do great work and truly care about their clients! I have found my forever stylist Daniel and salon La Posh! The receptionist was so kind and helpful when I walked in. She was able to get me an appt for a cut and highlights with Daniel within an hour. I did a little shopping ;). When I returned I was greeted by Daniel immediately. He is very engaging and personable. My highlights are beautiful and my cut is the best I have had in my life! Later in the week after my cut, I washed my hair and let it air dry. December 8, 2015 Had a nightmare experience at this salon. The owner was my hair specialist. After sitting alone with hair color for 55 minutes I demanded from receptionist to be shampooed. Told her I can pay her and shampoo at my home. That lady was extremely rude and short with her answer. Told me to sit down and someone will shampoo me now. Good manners and kindness are missing at this establishment. His skills were horrible. Andrew, the owner, was taking care of 4 other clients at the same time. He never. He never checked my hair for 55 minutes. Receptionist and the salon owner are both horrible. They need to be trained on how to treat new clients with respect. I was shocked about the abused entire time I was there. He charged $65 for staining my face badly and for damaging my hair. I ripped $10 in error and regretted it as soon as I left. He was supposed to charge me zero for all the mistreatment I was given. For 2 weeks Julie, the receptionist has told me she will mail $10 refund, she keeps forgetting to do it. I have 12,000 local followers in trip advisor. I will earn my friends there also. Please go there with caution. I did not enjoy it at all. Will never return. read more

It took me three years of trying to find a good fit in a stylist to finally try Tara Lee at La Posh. She is awesome. She totally understands fine thin hair and is able to make mine look respectable except for the times I ask for something that doesn't work on my hair! Even then, she gives it her best shot. I went in there a mess (as usual, I get my hair cut about once a year or so!) and Sarah took me under her wing and fixed me up quite nicely! She was super nice and we had a great conversation, I got my hair cut, highlighted, and styled. One word of warning: Their credit card machines don't allow you to add on a tip, so you have to bring cash (which I didn't have at the time). I have been going to Andrew for years and he is awesome. When I tell him I want something different he never disappoints (in a good way). I am more than comfortable telling him to just do what he wants and I know it will always look great! If I ask how something will look on me I will get an honest professional answer! There is a reason he continually gets awarded Tampa's Best! I also want to counter some other comments and say that in all the years I have been going there I have NEVER seen Andrew over extend himself or be rude to anyone! In fact I have never seen him work on more than two people at once and only if the other person is processing while he does a quick cut. I have taken friends and referred him several times with only positive results! In fact my only criticism is that he can sometimes run late because of the individual attention he is giving his clients, but I expect the same when I am in the chair so that can be overlooked because it isn't because he is slow! He also did my makeup for a company Christmas party once and it looked amazing but not painted on. He really knew what to use to highlight my eye color and make me look great! It may take me an hour to get there but no one else will cut my hair again!! read more

I'm sorry but the girl I got just has no skill with highlights whatsoever. I gave her a photo of exactly what I wanted, I wanted the ENDS of my hair dyed where it fades to the end and instead I get mess of random highlights. Some where THICK for no reason and she put two stops on the TOP of my hair when that looked NOTHING like the photo whatsoever. I had to go back the next day and I told her I wanted it fixed and it is still a mess. The only person who's work I loved was Wislynn, but tbh I don't think I'm ever going back there after this experience. read more

In march I got a horrible hair cut at another salon, so I cut 5-6 inches off my hair myself to try to repair/save my hairstyle. Then I had to get my hair cut again 3rd time in a week to fix the chop job I did, Stephen Anderson cut it and I walked out very happy. I even came back the next day to tell him thank you so much for finally giving me a haircut that I liked. Fast forward to October. He was 20 minutes late(maybe not his fault) and tried walking me straight over to wash my hair, he didn't even sit me down and consult with me and this was only my second hair cut with him. I told him I wanted my bangs blended with my sides and to thin out one small section of my hair that was a lot thicker than my other side and not to cut the back at all unless there were some dead ends that need removing. He BUTCHERED my hair. He barely said 5 sentences to me. He seemed mad that I asked for the consult before he washed my hair and then proceeded to destroy my hair. I wish I could post photos so you could see for yourself. one side is about an inch and a half long the other side is approx 4-5 inches. my hair cut is NOT SYMMETRICAL! he thinned out my ENTIRE head of hair basically giving me the EXACT haircut that caused me to chop off 5-6 inches back in March. It took me all these months to grow my hair back out and in 15 minutes of anger he destroyed my hair. I have an appt this Saturday with the owner to fix it,but I am not looking forward to it im sure I will have to go very VERY short to repair and make my hair symmetrical read more

I read the reviews and expected a great experience at this salon, but I was disappointed. The salon itself is nice, the receptionist attentive etc. I had asked for an appointment with someone experienced with thick, difficult hair. The stylist I got was young and did not know how to deal with my hair. I think the appointment was set with her because she had a slot open, not because she was experienced with my kind of hair. She did a very good job on matching the color on my roots. But she did minimal cutting and styled it oddly, not paying attention to the natural part or wave. I hated the blow out. By the time I left I had shelled out $140 for a haircut I didn't get and a blow dry that I didn't like and a product that does nothing for my hair. No more La Posh for me. read more

I made an appointment with owner Andrew for 1:30 pm I was impressed with the salon as far as comfort and cleanliness. I had not had a cut or color for over a year simply due to time and scheduling. I'm new to Clearwater and understand finding a new stylist is challenging. After i arrived I waited 15 minutes sitting in a chair. After consult with Andrew I felt confident he understood my needs. After another 10 minutes he returned and completed the foil/color blend. Over an hour later he returned the shampoo and cut took 25 minutes or less. The cut/ color was great....satisfied. My only complaint is I was there over two hours but left alone the majority of the time I was there. $150 (includes tip) later I left satisfied with cut and color but feeling neglected and under appreciated for selecting this salon. The staff and other stylists are friendly enough and smiling but neglectful. Perhaps it was just me but I did not view anyone else left alone or neglected like I was. I realized Andrew is double booking as I witnessed him working with another client which is clearly the reason my service took so long. I went to La Posh for a couple years, and most of the time it was OK. I had major work done: Keratins, Highlights, Color, Cuts by a woman named Joanne. I went on Mondays because it was technically closed, but Joanne worked on Monday and it was more enjoyable for me. The salon is small, loud, and not a warm feeling when you walk inside. Everyone is snobby, and thinks there better then everyone else. Julie the receptionist is as fake as a glass eye, and there was another old, old, receptionist who was worse. Can't remember her name, but mean and thought she owned the business. I stopped going back for several reasons, but mainly because Joanne did poor work on my hair when I got a Keratin once, and also color. La Posh is way overpriced, and I would not recommend anyone going there. read more
