Made appt on the phone for consultation with Anila today. I arrived on time, and sat for 20 minutes. Anila, whom I've never met, came to the desk to answer a phone call and totally ignored me - the only client sitting on her couch! She finished her phone call and scurried away. To ignore a potential client after you've personally made the appt is so ridiculously rude and disrespectful. MY time is important too, and the treatment I received is shameful. At minimum, acknowledge me and say "I'm running late" or whatever. BTW... I heard you tell the old rich lady in the pink and white who showed up after me "I scheduled you because I didn't think she'd show up". Then you took her back to attend her. Why not just tell me about a conflict? So unprofessional!! People, unless you enjoy being treated like this, do not patronize this place. They do not deserve your business. read more

Found my forever Salon! I'm a super picky blonde. My first visit was over the weekend. Anila paired me up with Brittany and I couldn't be happier. ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE I usually do not write bad reviews unless they are truly earned. I have been going to this salon because a dear friend recommended me there and was matched with my beautiful person and stylist Tori. Of course, I stayed loyal to my stylist and brought in more customers, which also greatly benefited the owner Anila. For the most part, I was always satisfied with my services and if something was not to my liking it was immediately taken care of - which I loved. I felt appreciated and welcomed. Then recently know that my stylist was on vacation (and fighting Covid-19) I was being called by the salon to schedule an appointment WITH Tori?! Yeah, what? So of course, I reached out to her asking if she is back and of course, she WAS NOT. Turns out this was done to multiple customers. This is not good business to me and not fair to the person working hard for her money to support herself and her children. So just to double-check I called back to schedule to see the open availabilities and YES, they were still available. I then said: Isn't Tori on vacation? Oh... oh.... yeah right - suddenly, they remembered? I am calling that BS. How funny that swiftly AFTER the owner, Anila, does NOT need Tori any more phone calls go out to Tori's clients to schedule with the salon - that is unethical. Unfortunately, the salon called me, and people connected to me so that is how I found out. I am heartbroken for my stylist and friend Tori, that is not the way you do business, this is pure greed. This Salon does not deserve the "Best in Palm Harbor", this is not how you treat anyone. I truly hope this review will reach Tori's clients, please reach out to her if you have her number, Instagram (HairbyTori) or Facebook (Tori Shabaj, Hair by Flutura). Amazing and wonderful first time visit! The salon itself is so inviting and warm. When I arrived I realized, that there was a miscommunication on my part. At that moment Anila the owner, introduced herself and offered to give me the haircut. I was so impressed and appreciative of her. She was so kind and welcoming and made feel so comfortable. The haircut is awesome and my hair is full of body and feels great. I had heard many good things and wanted to try it myself, I even bought there product for the body mist spray. It is both refreshing and comforting to know that some salons are willing to be there for a client. I already have an appointment for color. I came in to do my hair and I've seen the owner of this salon physically put her hands on her staff.. I saw her smack him across his face but then play it off like it was her joking. I'm not sure what she was doing or thinking but then started screaming at her employees. Bad experience. When I arrived I had a seat outside the door. An associate came out and asked if I had an appointment. I said yes. She responded with question in her voice, Here!? Like I didn't belong. No worries. Tory was cutting my hair. I told her I had just washed my hair if she could just wet it. She insisted she had to wash my hair. I asked to have my hair layered. My hair is down past my shoulders. She spent a minimum of 10 minutes cutting my hair. The entire time not saying word. Tory was short when she did speak. The layers are uneven and choppy. I have a section in the back where a chunk of hair is a good two inches shorter than the rest. She insisted I pay $60 for the hair cut because she was not a trainee. I have had better hair cuts done by students. They are rude with no social skills. Don't waste your time and money. read more

Horrible. I scheduled an 11:00 a.m. appointment three days prior for a cut/color that I purchased via Groupon. I received no confirmation phone call for my appointment, which was the first red flag. When I showed up for my 11:00 a.m. appointment, the owner was shampooing a client and proceeded to tell me that she believed my appointment was for an hour earlier and that she could not accommodate. I told that my appointment time was 100% correct and that I booked it with her over the phone. Long story short, after calling two stylists apparently to see if they could come in due to her scheduling error, I was unable to have my appointment that I scheduled three days prior! It was a HUGE INCONVENIENCE as I had purchased the Groupon and took time off work for this appointment, which wasn't scheduled properly. Naturally, I was perturbed by this poorly run operation and lack of value for the customer. The owner told me to "relax," which rubbed me the wrong way and offered a different appointment time, which I declined. I told her I would be calling Groupon for a refund due to her nonprofessional attitude and inconvenience this caused me. As I was leaving the salon, the owner goes "OH MY GOD!" I looked back, gave her a huge thumbs down, and again mentioned the nonexistence of professionalism. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. Thankfully I got my money refunded from Groupon. read more
