    I went to get a pedi today, place is very nice and they were very accommodating which was great since I showed up on a Saturday without appointment. Everyone seems very nice but unfortunately I didn't get for the service I was expecting. The person who did my pedi was "done" in less than 10 mins. She removed my nail polish then put my feet in water for about 30 seconds and then scrubbed, put lotion and the disposable sandals were on. she took about 15 mins with the nail polish because she would wait for it to dry before adding another coat, so this leaves my pedi time between 25 to 30mins. My friend who went with me asked me if she was done and I said idk. Then my technician "removed" my cuticles in my pinkies and then she passed that instrument quickly on a couple of my other toes. Then she kinda pushed my cuticles with something that I don't know how it's called but DID NOT go on the sides to remove the dirt that accumulates there. And this is how my toes ended up looking after the pedi. PS. My toe nail is broken And I told her it did need to get it repaired so that's on me.

    Wish I could give zero stars. It's giving what I ordered versus what I got. ‍ Look at those photos. How can anyone justify that? I've been coming here for quite a while with Mindy and she's been gone but this is the second issue with the owner that I've experienced. Notice all of the responses she gives are excuses and explanations trying to be absolved of all blame and never true apologies or accountability. Just lots of passive aggressive nastiness. She is worse in person. I'm a business owner. I understand how to make actual apologies. Do better. Now to the service itself. Design was absolutely awful. Brought in a picture and explicitly asked if it could be done. I was told yes. It was never mentioned that it would be an additional $5 per nail for my design or I would have chosen a different one. $50 extra for nails shouldn't just be sprung on someone at checkout. She had to re-do the design repeatedly because it was so absolutely amateur. Not even the lines were straight. To add insult to injury, when I showed the owner how awful it was, there was excuse after excuse. "Photoshop". "This is someone else's photo". "They used different materials". What?? If a tech doesn't have the technical skills, they need to say NO so I can choose a design they CAN do. That's not hard and everyone wins. I was appalled at how bad these came out. Never once was I offered an apology or even any kind of compassion for how awful these turned out for $140 + tip despite saying on Yelp how they would make things right if your service was poor. What a lie. This place should be embarrassed to let people walk out like that and worse, Marina is truly a heartless business owner. Never ever again. You should be ashamed to treat paying customers like this. Shame on you. Image I showed on the left. What I got on the right. Just... wow. Also Marina, do not respond to me with your snarky comebacks. Maybe one day you can own how you treat people which most of the negative reviews here all have in common. When someone is unhappy, attempt to work with them. This is how you keep loyal customers. Taking zero blame doesn't fly anymore. Be better. UPDATE: responding to Marina- so many lies here, Marina. Shame on you, really. This was June 30th, 2022. Not 2 years ago. And unfortunately for you, there is not a statute of limitations on reviews so... sorry not sorry. At the time, I could only post this to your Google page because reviews on your Yelp weren't being added. So tada! Here I am and I haven't forgotten. No, this was absolutely NOT addressed, the tech did NOT tell me the pricing, YOU DID upon payment which is why I explained to YOU how bad of a job it was and that the rate is not justified. I would not have agreed to an extra $50. No way. Remember when I said, hey, I've been coming here a long time and spent a lot of money here and you said "people have come here and spent way more than you"? Remember that? Oh I do. I hope one day to see you own how you treat people. But I doubt it. You just like to gaslight people and treat them like second class citizens then lie about the experience to unsuspecting readers. They're not dumb. They can all see the bad reviews are all about YOU and how you treat people. All of the negative reviews about *you* cannot ALL be wrong, Marina. Do better.

    So here I am 10 days into my FULL ACRYLIC GEL SET and boom two nails ALREADY MISSING!!! Not only did she do my nails crooked! They already are breaking off! Very nice lady but the nails were TERRIBLE!!! Im an entertainer and I cant even show my nails when Im doing shows or at events because ppl are gonna see how crooked they are! UPDATED RESPONSE: This company is HORRIBLE. The fact that I been getting my nails done with acrylic for 18 years and Ive been going to CHILL NAILS SPA with NO NAIL BREAKS....proves my point as they are NOT a good nail shop. The owner responding just proves that their defensive to cover up their poor nail skills. NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!!

    If I could give 0 stars i would. Terrible experience. First, when I walked in, I wasn't greeted by anyone I was just told to sit down while everyone behind the counter was talking to one another. I tried asking what kind of pedicure I booked and if it was gel or regular nail polish and they just told me to sit down. About 10 minutes later I was taken to sit down and I asked again if it was gel or regular and they didn't know. While everyone was talking, I could've either been picking out my colors or they could've figured out what type of pedicure I got. The massages were not good and barely had any effort. I left with mud still on my legs and heels that were not smoothed out. After leaving my appointment, I noticed about two hours later that my nails had already started to chip. I woke up the following morning and more than half of my nails have a chipped. I called the manager to let them know, and they said that there was nothing they could do except repaint them, and it would not come with any of the massages or rest of the service that was included with the manicure. Manager on the phone was really rude and not professional and was not willing to understand my frustrations and kept saying that the nail polish takes 24 hours to fully dry and that your nails are gonna chip no matter what. So then what's the point of a manicure?? DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE TERRIBLE ALL AROUND

    Karmine is a great nail tech. I've been getting my rubber base gel nails done by her for months. She preserves the quality of my natural nail when redoing them. I appreciate her work and will continue to book with her because I love how they look and get a lot of compliments of her work. I will add, I prefer a natural set so I always do sheer nude shades and a short/medium length.

    highly disappointed with the lack of professionalism i've experienced today. i've been coming here for years so this truly comes with a surprise regarding the rating. i booked a hybrid appointment over a week ago for my birthday. i showed up just to be convinced to do a different style than what i booked for, just to be told that their shipment kept being delayed, also the appointment was booked for 11am and the lash tech wasn't even there nor was she reachable to inform how late she was going to be. point number one, if equipment that is needed for a specific appointment kept being delayed over a multitude of days than any any every appointment that was booked for that service should've been contacted in advance to give the customer the option of cancelling or a different style if they choose to proceed. point number two, how an an employee be late and not inform an ETA for the client that's waiting on them. clearly if a set time is booked, then it needs to be respected or at least some form of communication. the lady at the front desk stated that she tried multiple times to get an update from the last tech and she was ignored.

    Booked the Dirty Martini pedi. My manicurist, Anoush (spelling?), started cutting my big toenail all the way into my hyponychium. I had to say "ow" twice before she stopped! This was the first toe she started on too! I started to walk out but thought I'd give a chance still, especially since I've been wanting to try Laque out for a while now but they were always booked when I was free. She clipped the rest fine, but took forever to file. One of the toes was uneven to where half was higher than the other and was splintered at the higher edge. I pointed it out to her and she started filing a COMPLEYELY DIFFERENT nail! I told her no, it's this one- and pointed to the one I had JUST pointed to. Then she starts filing towards the side wall instead of the free edge where I pointed out! I told and asked her, "No, not there... You don't see that!?" She filed a little and then said she was going to file all of the nails again. At that point, the skin on the big toe started hurting more and I told her to leave it and not file anymore. When she applied the scrub to my feet, the irritated skin on my big toe started to burn and I had to ask for the manager, Jen. Jen apologize and told me they don't do acrylic on toes (I didn't even ask for that) and they wouldn't do it on exposed skin anyway. I asked her what am I supposed to do about my toe, though? She said that I could just finish the pedicure at this point because I was pretty far in. Or that I could cut my other big toe down to even. But I didn't want my toes that short to begin with!!! So, no thanks! I asked her how much more till I could leave because I was irritated and just wanted to get out of there at that point and that I was not paying full price. She suggested a new manicurist finish and I agreed. She then started mentioning the name of a different pedicure that I didn't book and I started getting confused. She was telling the manicurist to downgrade to the next pedicure! So I made sure she knew I wanted everything that's included in the pedi I booked. She affirmed that, but then turned her back to me with the new manicurist and started talking low so I couldn't hear. I thought that was weird. The new manicurist, Gabby was very nice and she did a good job, very gentle. Then towards the end she slid my shoes to me without doing the parafin wax. She said the manager told her that I SAID I DIDNT WANT IT, so don't do it for me!!! What the hell!!!? I knew the manager was being weird when she turned her back! I guess since I said I was not paying full price she was going to give me a lesser service, even though my toe is jacked now because of THEIR manicurists mistake and it hurts just having my shoe on! I told her that was incorrect and to please do the parafin! They only gave $5 discount. Not acceptable, in my opinion, for the pain AND for being LIED on by the manager about what I didn't want! I had cash, which I should've used to pay what I thought fair for the service and treatment by the manager- but at that point I just wanted to get the hell out of there because I had been there so long! My appointment was at 10am. I left at 12:37.... And that's WITHOUT getting polished! Ridiculous!!! I will NEVER go back there! I regret trying them out! It's going to take so long for my nail to grow out and i can't wear polish until it does! Also, my skin is still rough on my foot! I thought it'd be better after the parafin, but when I got home it's still the same!!! I only gave one star because of Gabby... if it weren't for her, ZERO!!!

    I've been getting pedicures at Laque for some time now and have loved the experience & it's been a place I recommend to others. However, after my last visit (recently), it was the most painful and upsetting pedicure I've had. My nails were cut so short and the lady doing my toes actually hurt me. I said "ouch" about 3x and she completely ignored me. I should have stopped the entire pedicure but not only did I drive for almost 40minutes, I was so excited to treat myself. As for the color, I asked for a baby pink and she kept bringing me shades of purple. I don't know how many times I said pink, I just settled for the last color she brought me. I had to ask for sandals to walk out with, even when she knew me toes were still wet. I talked to the receptionist and it felt as she didn't even care how upset I was. A day later and my toes look horrible. The entire experience was so upsetting, I don't even know if I want to go back or even recommend laque if this is what people will experience.

    I had very high expectations for this place, and was HIGHLY disappointed. I had follow their IG page for years and always wanted to try them, but I hadn't since I didn't live near by, I finally moved to LA and was excited to try this place. Little to say I was disappointed from the start. Upon entering, the lady at the front desk had a rude attitude, but whatever I was excited to get my nails done and understand that everyone has a bad day from time to time... I waited for about 15 minutes (after my appointment) until my mail tech was finally ready. She was nice however seemed new (which she was), i sat down and told her that I wanted to change my shape from almond to coffin (which I've done before no issues), she said ok that she could do it... then I showed her the design I wanted an she recommended that it will be better to get a new set so I can do that design... I agreed and told her it was fine, let's do a new set. I've been doing my nails for YEARS and have always had intricate designs done... gems, hand painted nail art, 3D designs... anything... so I know how long it can take ( the Longest my nails have ever taken have been 1.45h - very intricate design with pearls, ombré mermaid scales, and hardware), how ever my nails in this visit took 3 HOURS!!!! The nail tech took almost an hour taking my old set out... then took about another hour and a half putting a new set in and about 35/45 minutes doing the color/design. How is this possible ! My appointment was for 2 hours (which I thought was long to begin with) and ended being there 3! Like wtf! I also asked for skinny coffin shape... this was not what I got. When I was finally done I was very disappointed w the end result. The nails are super thick, not the right shape, and the design was disappointing for the amount of time this whole process took. By the end of my visit, when I went to pay I tried to complain about how long this took and all the lady in the front could tell me is "our nail techs take their time and everyone works differently..." hmm I get taking your time, my previous nail tech took her time too and yet never took longer than an hour 45. Also, I would of really appreciated if I would of been told from the start that the nail tech doing my nails was NEW! Literally her first day... she didn't know where things were and had to borrow tools from other techs... if I would of known this from the start I would of requested somebody else. Overall, definitely not worth the hype, money or time... bad customer service and bad work for the amount of money you pay. For sure will not be going back.

    It was a couple of years before I had been back to Laque. Mostly because of how far it is from where I live and how impossible it is to get an appointment that suits my needs. I was so hyped and excited to be able to be back, and for what better occasion than my God Daughters 21st bday. I wanted to gift her something so special. This was it guys !!! I made an appointment so we can be next to each other to chit chat. I was very specific about it too. Welp. That's where this all started. We never got a chance to sit next to each other. Okay. I semi understood. Then when we took a little break, she came up to me and asked me if my fingers hurt. I said no? Why ?? She said hers were hurting so bad. I said. Say something. She did. The lame excuse and sorry excuse is that they buried the nails too deep but that the pain would go away in a couple of days after her regular nail starts growing ??????? What kind of sorry excuse is that ??? They could have taken them off and started over. Instead they told her to deal with the pain. I was so embarrassed with my God Daughter as this was something that was supposed to be so special for her. I was done be before she was and I I noticed the nail tech rushing and doing a sloppy job putting the stones. I said hey is this doing to stay ?? She said yes. But I can clearly see they were so sloppy and sure enough two days later they came off. I called the owner to tell her that 1- her fingers were still in pain and 2- the stones came off on the 2nd day !!!!!! She pretty much said that's the nature of things and that she told us that it would take days before her pain went away and that stones are that way but that we could go back and get the stones put back on. I told her but we live so far. $180 dollars later. Here we are. This is an embarrassment.

    Do you need an appt for eyebrow threading?

    No you don't, you just walk in and write your name down on a list. Just make sure to call ahead to see when the girl is working because she doesn't work 7 days a week.

    Do they have Gel X here or just acrylics?

    They offer Apres Gel x

    I know that their gel manicure is $35. But how much is it if you do either holographic or chrome nails on all fingers?

    Yes all of them do but some can do better designs than others but all of them are really good

    How much do they charge for acrylic removal?

    $10. And it's worth it to prevent damage to your nails. I usually take my own nails off. I just recently paid for the additional service and it was totally worth it.

    Do I have to bring my own nail jewelry?

    Nope they have a BOAT load to choose from

    Do you offer eyebrow threading and eyebrow tint? If do what's the price?

    I dont know about tinting but they do amazing eyebrow threading, I always get my eyebrows and my upper lip and it comes out to be 18 for both

    Do they take outside fills?

    Yes

    Are walk in welcome?

    They accept walk-ins but giiiirl, it is best to make an appointment. Average wait time for a walk in is an hour.

    I know their nail work is their main attraction but has anybody gotten a great pedicure here before ? I'm looking for a new place for pedicures.
