Beyond grateful and thankful I found Fern ! Had a wonderful signature facial by Fern recently. I waited to write a review until a week or so later because I believe that's when you really start to see changes (or lack thereof). Anyway, she did a beautiful job with my combination skin - some clogged pores but overall dry skin from working in a hospital. Extractions were just what I needed but she was not aggressive or damaging. The peel she gave me was refreshing, and although my skin was flaky for two or three days after, a week later it was softer and already somewhat more even-toned than it has been in a long time. She was not pushy about trying to get me buying a certain line of products, and her shoulder/neck massage was also just what I needed. To top it off, Fern is a lovely person - calming and pleasant, not overly chatty but rather personable and most interested in allowing you to relax and enjoy the facial. Also, I appreciated the attention she took in obtaining a thorough history and review of my skincare history and current regimen, which I've never had anyone do before a facial before. I spent quite some time looking for a place where I could get a facial thinking that that was the treatment I need to clear my skin. Over the past few months I have been getting break out which I was not getting before and I had wanted to get a facial for a while. With no facial experience whatsoever, I booked Fern because she offers a 15-minute consultation followed but a 45-minute facial and it is a great opportunity for those of us that don't know much about skin treatment. I can say the experience was great :) The consultation was very informative, and she's very thorough with asking you very specific question. The 45-minute facial is great, she did warm me that we would probably run short on time since a facial is generally 1 hour long but the first facial is basically to get to know the skin. It's been over a week and I have seen and felt much improvement in my skin. I called Fern to make an appointment for a CUSTOMISED FACIAL. She was super sweet and even txted me the day before to confirm our appointment. She lives in a peaceful little neighbourhood in Sherman Village, and she has a spacious and tranquil room dedicated to her services. There was soft music playing in the background and candles lit. Even a couch and books for any visitors that may be waiting for you. I filled out my information, consulted on my facial wants and needs, and changed into her robe. The facial started after, and I did get a full 60 minutes of it. Fern gently cleansed my face and proceeded to steam it. She also did a peel and massaged my neck area and proceeded to do extractions. She was very gentle, and it really didn't hurt much even though I told her I have a high tolerance for pain. She did a water-base pumpkin mask on my cheeks and a cleansing-almond/peppermint mask on my T-zone as I have combination skin. While the masks were doing its magic, she massaged my leg and shoulder area. It was so relaxing! Her aura was also very calming and she's super sweet. *** Tip: Call and make an appt now! Best facials I have ever gotten! I recently started going to get facials by Fern and was a little nervous because my previous experience with facials have been painful and uncomfortable. However, I was extremely satisfied with my results. Fern first talks with you about your concerns with your skin, what your cleaning regimen is and what changes you would like to see. The facials are all made with natural ingredients so no foul smelling chemicals and she is very gentle when extracting your pores. My problem is black/ white heads so in previous facial experiences the extractions were always the worst, leaving me red and swollen. But I have never experienced that at a facial with Fern. I have started using the line of products she uses and my face has never looked so good! Now my skin is looking tighter, more youthful and clear of black heads. I LOVE IT!!!
