Had a wonderful time with my group. We came for a taco pop up event and had a nice time. The drinks were great, and so were the food options. I enjoyed the open concept, decor, and overall vibe of the establishment. The upstairs was very roomy and cozy. I loved the bookshelf and books to choose from. The dj played awesome hits. The service was slow at times, but that was only due to high volume orders. My group and I would love to come back either way

Decided to have dinner here since the Sunday "Breakfast for dinner" menu caught our attention. They have some interesting dishes. The three of us each ordered something different. Plantain French toast, Guava Dutch baby and Doritos ChileQuiles. They were all delicious, the DoritosQuiles were my favorite. Their cocktails are pretty good too. The place has an eclectic charm and the service was great. Will be back to try their regular menu soon.

Lara is such a fun and unique spot in Florida! The vibe is eclectic with small plates that are perfect for sharing, and the cocktail menu feels like it was designed by an apothecary creative, balanced, and so much fun to explore. Plenty of easy street parking, which made getting here a breeze. My wife and I split the tuna tostada (she dove right in as soon as it hit the table!) and the Maduros Negras caramelized plantains with cilantro, aioli, and pickled onions. Both were packed with flavor and beautifully done. This is one of those places that feels like a little discovery you come for the food, stay for the cocktails, and leave already planning your next visit. Highly recommend for a date night or a casual night out with friends! We sat at the bar and had great service! Bartenders know the drinks well and had some great suggestions to get us started and what paired with each dish. Ps - the drink here is the fruit cup!

A friend recommended going here for dinner while we were out and about in Ybor. I loved the vibe of the place, very cool decor. My spouse is not an adventurous eater and got the Caesar salad and charcoal chicken wings. He said they were sticky but tasty. I ordered the longanisa dogs thinking he might share. Alas, too adventurous for him but that just meant I got to have both! I also got the tuna tostada on glowing recommendation from my friend. I don't regret trying it, but it wasn't my cup of tea- the texture of potatoes with the tuna just didn't do it for me. However, everything else was tasty and there was more on the menu I'd like to try!

Sooo Lara has apparently been open for a while and I had no idea because it always looks closed when I pass by. We finally stopped in on a random Saturday for a couple of drinks and I'm glad we did. Chris had a great vibe and really curated our drinks, which were super tasty. The space itself is stylish but relaxed, upscale without feeling stuffy, plus there's an upstairs market and a speakeasy tucked away in the back. He mentioned they host events from time to time with different bartenders, which sounds fun. I definitely want to go back and try the food; it looked like there were some solid options. I'd recommend this spot to anyone looking for a chill place to grab a well crafted drink and enjoy some relaxing music.

Love, love, love this place. We r from out of town and stumbled on Lara. Stopped by for an ole fashion and mokhito. Oh my goodness. Honestly, two of us separately travel the country and this is the best meal we both had in 10 years. We had: Longanisa Hot Dogs. To die for. Chicken Liver Pate Drug Eggs Paloma Staek Sandwich .....ran out of time much more Local chef Suzanne knocks it out of the park!. Great vibe definitely worth coming back again and again! I'm back in st pete in three months and driving up for this.

Imaginative food and drink options in a cute setting. We loved our grilled chicken hearts the best, followed by the grilled chicken wings. The beef chow fun and cesar salad were ok. The Mexican fruit cup and mango sunshine (margarita) were our favorite drinks.

    Longaniza Hot Dogs

This place is nice, very chill vibes and it's welcoming. I was not sure about the menu and all the fusions going on but I was pleasantly surprised. The food was pleasant and still had a kick on flavor. While it's not authentic latin food, this was an interesting take and it works. My favorite was the longaniza hot dogs, they're very smokey and flavorful. I would visit this place again.

Fair warning: this place has two personalities -- a restaurant side and a much louder dance-party side that share the same building. We opted for the restaurant side, which was surprisingly not busy despite the earliest reservation we could get being 7:30pm on a weeknight. The menu blends classic soul food (fried chicken, mac and cheese) with a strong New Orleans Creole influence -- gumbo, jambalaya, fried seafood, cornbread. Portions are enormous. We started with the deviled eggs ("D'Evils"), topped with fried chicken bites and lemon pepper dust -- excellent and surprisingly filling for just four halves. We also got the Nolia Clip, a vegan gumbo base loaded with fried shrimp, crabmeat, turkey sausage, and a full catfish filet -- essentially an entree-sized bowl on its own. For entrees, the fried chicken plate ("Let's Stay Together") was a standout -- moist chicken, crispy crust, great mac and cheese and collard greens, though the cornbread muffins were bland and watery-tasting. My jambalaya ("Burning Blues") turned out to be nearly identical in ingredients to the gumbo appetizer we'd already had, just a bit thicker and in a bigger portion -- worth knowing before you order both. We left with a full meal's worth of leftovers and zero room for dessert. Food quality was great across the board (minus the cornbread), and portions are a serious value. Service was the weak point -- slow to seat and slow table-side all night. Good pick if you're after soul food with Creole flair and don't mind a leisurely pace.

I've had many Cubans throughout the Tampa Bay area, and I can honestly say this was the best I've ever had. The quality was exceptional -- the meats were incredibly fresh, and the balance of juicy pickles and tangy mustard elevated every bite. Beyond the food, the atmosphere impressed me as well. It's a cool, spacious venue with a long bar and a welcoming staff that made the experience even better. I would absolutely recommend it and plan to return. Howeverrrrr..... I may slightly resemble Uncle Fester, but that does NOT give a server an excuse to not approach me at all. From the moment I sat down, I waited a while until I kindly asked for a menu. The barmaid gave it to me, without saying anything else. Then I had to notify her that I was ready to order, after waiting a few minutes. After I told her I wanted the Cuban sandwich, she said "okay" and walked away. She brought the plate to me, and set it in front of me without saying anything. Nor did she swing by, to ask how my food was. The guy with the dark haired bowl-cut was the ONLY one who asked how my food was, and he wasn't even my waiter! I was too kind to give her a tip anyway. Some people jussssst do not belong in customer service, if they lack communication skills or common sense. I didn't feel comfortable with staying there, after the cold reception from the barmaid, and left.

Whether you're looking for a stylized spot for photos or just a high-end environment to relax, this place nails the aesthetic. Major shoutout to Maze and Nate behind the bar. The amazing bar staff even let me get creative and sub some of their specialty cocktails with my favorite tequila-Dulce Oro. The drinks were perfectly balanced with a sophisticated flair.
