This is probably the hugest metro station in the entire system! It's clean, runs like a well-oiled machine, and has beautiful art installations on the ground level worth checking out. At the end of the Blue Line and by a busy medical complex, this is a pretty safe and convenient metro station and gets you into downtown DC in practically no time! read more

Here for the 250th Birthday of our Nation so we took the metro blue line into DC. Loved it! Quick and easy process don't have to worry about parking and the attendants were very helpful. Relaxed on the way there enjoyed The Mall and relaxed and cooled off on the way back. For myself I would definitely ride it again! read more

The good-Station attendants are EXTREMELY Friendly and helpful. Station and train were clean and safe. Bad-parking regulations. We went into DC at 6:30 in the morning when it was dark out, and paid Park Mobile for all day parking. Came back and had a ticket because there were parking restrictions that we missed in the dark. However, the app was more than happy to let us pay for those times that parking isn't allowed. Ask the attendants if you have any questions, they are amazing. Beware the app. Just a company taking peoples money. read more

Be safe don't leave SH*T on the train. they don't give it back . i left my phone at largo station and there was a person clearing the trains which he definetly saw my phone and picked up because I saw him. I didn't realize that I had left my phone until when the other train I got on started moving as I was looking around I noticed the guy who is checking the trains and seen him picking things up so I tried to go back but that was unfortunetly the last train. so the next day i went back and seen the same guy that was picking things up off the train and I asked hr said he had no clue about no phone. but they definitly stole my phone I was able to track it for a couple days until it died and which I was tracking it it went from Largo station where I was at wehn I left it , to the largo rail division and now in pennsylvania. All of metro is no help at all. all the black women are so rude and disrestpectful they dont listen they get passive agressive . they need to be fired. I went to the Largo Rail Division to get my phone since it was their and they watched me cry at the door though there mirrior and didn't respond to be as I kept pressing their button to talk to them. THEY STOLE MY PHONE! The metro is not help transit police is no help the entire metro department is no help and very rude all the men do is flirt with women or girls or stare at them and the female workers are no help always having attitudes, passive agressive and dont do their jobs. Look, been a PG gal all my life, I was too excited when I found out that they were developing thee Largo Town Center and that there would be a metro. Well FF to now, and it really isn't my favorite place to be. I'm happy that they have the blue line in all, it is convenient at times, but if you actually wanted to PARK your car then just turn around and go someplace else. Better yet, find some random park in the sketchy Largo Town Center and hope that your car isn't vandalized or towed. Hmmm.... options. read more

One of the nicer metro stations of the bunch. But like majority of the stations the station managers are dicks. I asked a question because the wonderful machine cancelled my transaction and I had to swipe my card again. I was simply trying to ask if my card was charged twice for a fare I didn't receive what should I do. The station manager started being a smart ass from the jump accusing me of shit. Man if Wmata was a restaurant they would be on Bar Rescue, Restaurant Impossible and Restaurant Stakeout AND STILL FAIL. But unfortunately they are public transit and are a necessity and fuckin' actin' like it and don't give a shit about their shitty service. And trains have a tendency to leave a minute or two early but considering they're late for everything else I guess I can take that as a win and just leave earlier next time. read more

At first when this Station opened up we were excited to have one closer (I live in Bowie and I use to spend lots of time in Largo) but as time went on we realized three things: 1.) We actually live equally close to New Carrollton. Go figure all this time we thought it was far away and it's actually more of a straight shot getting there than LTC. 2.) The trains come less frequently here compared to New Carrollton. What this means is if you get there and a train just left you might be waiting 15+ mins. I blame this on all the track work they do further down on the Blue Line around Arlington Cem, etc. 3.) The fare's leaving here cost 25 cents more than they do at New Carrollton. That's right folks a WHOLE QUARTER MORE! A whole quarter makes a big difference in the big bad world of Metro/WMATA service I would say that Largo Town Center has good parking options and it is located close to 495, it's not worth the longer waits, higher costs, urine smell in the stairwell (yes you heard right, smells like piss everywhere; take elevator) not to mention the crime has increased drastically in the past few years. I would have given them 3 stars but they get one knocked off for rude people in the info booth the last few times I have had the "pleasure" of riding at Largo. I think i'll take my changes on crap parking and keep using the New Carrollton station. read more

I take the train here everyday. The buses and the train does not always arrive / depart on time which makes me late to work. If you don't wanna be late you got to be at this station 3hrs earlier than you have to which is sad when you paying your money to be late. Save yourself the headache and save money for Uber or lyft might be more expensive but worth it. read more

The metro stop at the eastern terminus of the blue line (it's fun to say "terminus"). A fine metro station, relatively clean (it's one of the newest). Parking is generally gone by 8:45 in the morning, but that's not a big negative. The big minus is that the platform countdown clocks that tel you how long until the next train leaves lie consistently. If it says train leaving in 2 minutes, you may have as little as 30 seconds to get from the gate, up the escalator and to the platform. Being an end of the line station probably means that operators can get a little jump on the schedule if they leave early. Not a big issue during peak times hour, but if you leave before or after that, be careful of the clock. read more

Last station on the blue line on its eastern branch, Largo Town Center. It opened along with the Morgan Blvd station in late 2004 as an extension from Addison Road. Local buses that serve this station are the C21, C22, C26, C29 (all of which serve the Largo areas of Kettering, Lake Arbor, Watkins Park, Largo Woods and the Prince George's Community College) THE BUS 21 operates between New Carrollton and Upper Marlboro via Largo. Adjacent to the station is the The BLVD at Capitol Centre, which is an open air mall/town center with plenty of retail, restaurants, and a movie theater. Chucky cheese is on the premise as well. Nice and newish...but, if you're a woman traveling by yourself at 1 a.m., you might think twice about getting on the Metro here. There were several dudes milling around quite suspiciously, and one was straight up following me. There were a million empty cars and he followed me into the one car that I was in by myself. I jumped out at the next stop and switched cars, but then there was a new group of males who made me feel almost as uncomfortable. If you're traveling during the day when there are other people around, this would be fine, but late at night on the weekends, it's downright scary and there are NO Metro employees around to make you feel safe. read more

I give all of Metro just an 'OK' rating now regardless of the station. However, since they started the Silver Line, the LTC station has more frequent trains than New Carrollton, based on two lines serving a station vs one line. The main problem I have with LTC is the parking situation. The are currently building a new apartment building right at the station, will be great for those living there but Metro should constructed a new parking garage. Also, I use both the New Carrollton and LTC stations and noticed that LTC is now about .40 cents higher but both take me 15 stops to McPherson. Why does it cost more to travel from LTC? read more

This is the last stop east on the blue line. I traveled to and from this stop pretty much everyday for the last two weeks and never encountered any problems. I am not familiar with parking or the bus traffic coming in or out of this station though, because I walked here every day and never used those systems. It has plenty of stations where you can purchase fare cards, and a few spots where you can purchase SmarTrip cards as well. Not too much else to say about it. It's public transportation, and it works just fine. read more

It's an overall good experience. I never wait long for a train and the stairwells have been clean. I live close enough to walk, but I have to walk through excrement from the ducks on campus. NOT a great way to start or end the day so I started parking. I was looking forward to that stroll though, and not to mention the added costs. this is the last station to have been added to the DC metro subway system in recent years (2004 or 2005) and serves the blue line only. it is the last/most eastern stop on the blue line and the closest metro station to fed ex field/redskins stadium. it's also directly next to the "boulevard at the capital center" (shopping center development i would recommend skipping if you value your time, money, sanity and safety). while well-planned and rather large, the station still never seems to have enough parking for commuters. try finding a parking spot monday through friday during peak hours. i dare you. even with over 2,000 spaces you may be out of luck and have to drive on over to morgan boulevard (next stop on the blue line) or new carrollton (orange line). morgan blvd is closer and cleaner but new carrollton has more parking, just FYI, in case you actually have to do this (i have had to, many times). some people take their chances and park at the capital center, especially because one of their parking lots has a little pedestrian bridge b/w the center and the metro station. i'll admit, i've done this a couple of times when i was in a pinch and didn't have time to drive elsewhere, but would advise against it for a couple of reasons: 1 - there are clearly marked signs in the cap ctr lot that it is NOT for largo metro station parking, or any non-cap ctr business parking and they WILL ticket/tow your car 2 - while the cap ctr is safer during the day, you still are leaving your vehicle in a higher risk location for theft (yes, just a few hundred feet from the metro, but still) i know, do as i say, not as i do, right? but i was lucky, i guess. i haven't done it in quite some time and don't plan to anymore, b/c i know folks who have had both 1 and 2 happen to them, and i don't want to be added to that list. other times you will be hard pressed to find parking are when there are redskins home games. and really, you just want to avoid this station completely when the skins are playing at home, unless of course you are actually going to the game (then it's a great option). if you are going to the game, you are probably already appropriately dressed, but at other times folks should be aware that this is an above ground station with almost no seating or cover (platform is the same as the reagan/national airport stop on the same line), so you will FREEZE standing there waiting for the train in the winter. bundle up. other than the parking situation i have to say that this is a pretty good metro station. it is large, well laid out, convenient and clean. and you can find parking at other times, you just need to know when to go. oh snap, i do have one exception about this station, but i don't think it's all that uncommon to public transportation stations. the stairwells. ick!! they are gross and reek of urine. take the elevator, every time. you will thank me. read more

Well, yesterday I had to go here to retrieve a camera bag that my friend left on a metro since this is the end of the line and it was probably one of the worst experiences. First we got off of the train and went to the attendant's desk to see the camera bag sitting there, but nobody in the area where the attendant should be. We wait around for like 10 minutes and see at least 30 people walk through the emergency exit only door to avoid paying a fare. After quite a bit of time, we hit the "CALL" button on the side of the attendant's desk thing, still nothing but a thing saying "Wait, connecting to emergency services". We eventually go and ask the maintenance workers where the attendant is and they don't know but they said they'd call him. After about another 5 minutes the attendant finally comes out to give us the camera bag, but our train leaves in 2 minutes so we had to run back up the stairs. In the time that we were running, some teenagers caught onto the fact that we were some vulnerable and from out of town and started to chase after us, following us onto a car, then we move another car and they move with us, and then we move cars again, and they are in the car ahead of us and climb through the emergency exit doors between cars to get to our car. They then sit there staring at us, and I truly believe they would have jumped us if there wasn't an older woman sitting near us that could have called the police and complicated things. They got off at the next stop and I have never felt more relived. Never riding a Metro for a long time, possibly ever, after this experience, and more importantly, never going to this part of Maryland ever again. read more
