I really feel I have seen this woman at another massage place before. Anyhow, Ogi started out her massage using a massage cream that didn't have a scent. The massage cream I though was weak and did not really hold it slickness.  The cream vanished  and she had to keep getting more and more. There is a Cucumber body lotion that works wonders for massage. I recommend using that. Zen Reflexology & Spa can tell them where they got these great and inexpensive lotions. Ogi started on my back using the massage cream I did not care for, but still wanted to see how the whole massage would turn out.  Ogi massage skills are not the greatest I have had, but is a long way from the worst I have had. To me it did not seem she was spending enough time on the various body parts.   I felt my shoulders could have used more attention,  but I did not say anything. I will the next time though.    Ogi did do a draping of a towel over the buttocks,  but removed the towel later on. Ogi worked her magic until she completed the massage. Ogi did work on my feet with actual oil and it was great.  I know I will ask for this massage oil next time around.  Oh, and the oil doesn't have any offensive smell to them. Still, I feel the light scented Cucumber lotion Zen Reflexology & Spa sells for $5.00 is the best. *FINAL THOUGHT* Ogi does not pressure you into giving her a tip like I have heard other reviewers talk about at other massage places; however, it would be impolite not to leave a tip.  She leaves the tip decision to you. You can pay by cash or credit card. However, if you use a credit card, there is a $5 dollar charge....maybe $4 charge for tips. This is a nice little business that doesn't get to many customer,  so don't  be surprised if the door is left open. Eris is not likely to poke her head in and say"Man!, what are you doing here?"  Normally this kind of thing does bother me, but not this time.  I will be back for round two possibly next month.

However, there are a number of things to go over about this business and its location. Considering when I found it on Yelp by chance, the address did not say which floor the business is on. This made it harder to locate. Infact, if you read the small print, you are told this..."The price of each session will be discussed directly with each provider, as it may vary depending on your requirements and the duration of the session." Yeah, now read between the lines and it tells this..., every possible Rose Granger-Weasley and Scorpius Malfoy might be given a different price by each therapist at He Who Must Not Be Named's choosing. If this is the case, you might be slapping yourself in the back of the head thinking "I shouldn't done that, I shouldn't done that." So nice I said it twice. Walkins/unscheduled appointments could end the same way as the soldiers in Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor's Edge...specifically Ayane's massage appointment. (Yes, I picked Razors Edge for a reason. More weapon options if you must know) Finally, If you haven't noticed yet, this business talks about waxing. If you looked at the website, you may notice the prices for them isn't listed. Mmm, something strange is going on. I could call and find out, but from what I have seen and heard, I am left with the notion each lady or male will quote their own price. These prices could be high my friend. I have visited the Fairfax location, but alas, no one was home. I survived the fall Hans Gruber could not, but I was left disappointed. I will most like try this place out dispite not passing judgment on the BUSINESS photos left on Empire Massage&Waxing on Yelp. OH!, one more thing about this business. It is the second Latina Massage&Waxing place I have come across. It is what I find intriguing. Your choice of English or Spanish is at your disposal. I don't know when I will be able to check out the other location of Empire Massage&Waxing, but as Doris Day sang, Que Sera Sera...whatever will be will be.

I found this number from another place known as My Spa. It was one of 3 places, but now I guess ot is down to two. To think I was just near this place earlier today. This hours of this business is 10am-10pm Monday-Sunday 30 minute massage is $50 1 hour massage is $70 90 minutes is $120 This place doesn't have table showers or body scrub according to the lady I spoke with. I only ever do simple cuts, nothing fancy. My haircut, done by Anderson (a level 3 stylist), is objectively good. The skill was there. But it's definitely shorter than I wanted it. Went in for a lob, came out with an asymmetrical bob...Honestly I was panicking while he was drying it because it was starting to look like Lord Farquaad from Shrek. I asked if he could style it like in the reference pictures I showed (simple waves, to reduce Farquaad-ness). He tried to do it with the brush/dryer, which obviously wasn't working, and didn't want to use a flatiron. So I just suffered through scalding heat on my scalp and hair pulling. I got told I don't have curly hair. I got told I don't have frizzy hair. I, in fact, have both of those. Some other minor things: 1. When I got home I had some hair that was noticeably longer than the rest, like it never got cut. So...I had to do it. Just a few strands, but normally stylists check for that when your hair is dry. 2. I almost never use heat on my hair, so I asked for recs and mentioned a specific brand doesn't work for me. He immediately said he loves that brand. I said yeah...but it doesn't work for me. Anything else? "Any salon brand." Cool. Not helpful. 3. Asked for something at the end to tame the pieces that were sticking out (again, I have frizzy hair). He looked...confused? Smoothing as a last step has been standard at every other place I've been to. There is nothing in the whole salon like that? Also, my introvert-self just wants to go somewhere where I don't have to be engaged in conversation the whole time. Anyway. Won't go back, my hunt continues.

alexx did my nails the first two times and i find myself coming back requesting her. booking an…read moreappointment is very simple and seamless. they recently replaced the decor with mirrors all along the wall and it looks very clean and open. the atmosphere is friendly and i can feel relaxed talking to my nail technician or being on my phone. i asked her for pink and green and she made sure i liked the color and i don't ever feel bad for asking to switch the color. loved how my nails came out and i love that she makes sure the base is nice and clean so my cuticles stay healthy.

Honestly, I absolutely love a place with character! I've posted pictures below because they made me cackle--some people might call the decor tacky, but I think it's hilarious. It was such a great takeaway from the experience. The inside has the standard massage chairs you'd expect, the vibe is very "chill and do your own thing," and I'm sure you could ask for tea or whatever else you need. I got a pedicure at the beginning of March (and I know I'm due for another one soon!), but get this: I just got regular polish--no gel or anything--and the color is still completely on my toenails! If you ask me, that is quality. Definitely worth it. If you're in a pinch or just in the area, go ahead and hit this spot. They will not disappoint!
