I rarely give bad reviews and am not picky. This is one of my worst experiences. We had a booking for massage for a couple for 7:00 pm on a Tuesday night. We arrived on time. No one was at the reception. The entire dimly lit unwelcome place was empty. All the doors to all the rooms were open. We were confused. After a while, a middle aged lady came out of a door by the entrance (we didn't see that door when we came in). She confirmed she knew about our booking. She asked us to wait for a little bit. Her English was poor but we tried to look at the bright side. There was no welcome. No water or tea. No music. Just a very dimly lit, sad, unwelcome, Soviet "living room". The lady disappeared into the room again without a word or any detail about why we had to wait. No news. We waited for 30 minutes. This was already a bad start to what was supposed to be a Valentine's Day gift (for me). It turned out there were two clients (or friends?) in that room. That room was set up for couple massage (with two tables). The two middle-aged ladies, both from mainland China, finished up and came out. They were chit chatting amongst themselves and talking about us. I felt very uncomfortable already but did not say anything. One lady then came to ask us what kind of room we preferred: singles or a double. Our booking was clearly for a couple massage. We reconfirmed we wanted a couple massage upon arriving. Clearly they do not speak English here. Meanwhile, the two female clients (a couple? friends? friends of the massage place?) took their sweet time packing up and dressing up. Finally they were out. After we indicated again we wanted to be together, the two ladies (apparently they only had 2 people working there) reluctantly went back to the room to clean up and get it ready for us. I am not sure they changed the sheets and towels. Finally it was our turn. After a long long wait. Were it not for the pre-paid groupon I would have left already. The two unpleasant, rough ladies once again talked amongst themselves just before the start of our massage: "Which one of us shall work on the girl and who works on the guy?" "Any difference?" Giggles. I understand Mandarin Chinese, but I did not hear or understand everything they said. From their accent I could tell they are from mainland China and uneducated. The massage was much too hard for me. Too much pressure. Painful. Not relaxing. I communicated in Mandarin and in English to no avail. She improved for a few minutes and then it was back to her old habit. She was probably a farmer? She pulled on my hair (when massaging my scalp). She messed up my hair big time. My hair was up in a horse tail. She pulled down half way my hair tie without even apologizing or showing any tenderness (she could have gently pulled down my hair tie and laid it by the side for example). It was me who had to discover the mess and let down my hair myself and put the hair tie on my wrist (all in the middle of the massage). Toward the end of the massage, she asked me to flip over to lie on my back. I reacted slowly because I didn't hear clearly what she said (broken English; followed by some kind of Mandarin Chinese). She laughed at me (to my face) talking to the other lady in the room, how I looked Chinese but did not speak Mandarin. I am NOT Chinese, but that's beside the point. How could they make rude comments either in clients' face or behind their back? We gave them each a 10% tip out of politeness. They snickered at us. What did they expect for the non-service? When I checked in, there weren't any other patrons as far as I could tell. They sort of ushered me right into a room, which was kind of odd (usually there's some paperwork and you meet w the massage therapist to talk about what you want. They also didn't even ask for my name (I suppose if I was the only early morning appointment it doesn't really matter), but still kind of odd. The massage itself was great! When you look through the reviews, they are either overwhelming positive "omg there was so much pressure it was awesome" or negative "omg there was so much pressure it was awful." Spoiler alert: they use a ton of pressure. If you like that, you will like your massage. Jenny beat the crap out of my neck and shoulders. It hurt. A lot. But I'm used to it. And could probably stand an inch taller after the fact. Will definitely be back. Down a star for the oddness/the fact that I'm pretty sure my room was open an inch the whole time... and at some point my massage therapist had to leave to answer the phone. Weird.

5/8/26 Part 2 Of 2…read moreThe massage on my gluteus maximus wasn't the best massage I've have had, but the Blood Stone did feel great on my legs, lower back and the small part of my glutes Tina did use the comb on. It is an experience worth trying at least once. Tina also combined elements of Thai Stretching along with The Blood Stone. Yet the fun had only just begun. I was asked before the massage began which oil I wanted on my skin. The choices were Lemon, ("see-through in the sunlight.")Ginger ("Girl you got me wrapped around your finger") or Raspberry ("Raspberry beret And if it was warm she wouldn't wear much more"). I went with the lemon scented oil because I was feeling dry, I went with the lemon scented oil to bright up the sky. The scent is wonderful, but not to harsh I can still smell it even in the dark. Okay I am seriously digressing here. Back on track. Tina put the lemon oil on my arms, back, neck, legs and feet. No lemon scented oil were put on my glutes. My glutes, chest and stomach were feeling left out:(...although, my stomach did have ginger oil rubbed on it and masagged with pressure points. So only my butt and chest were left exposed... So to speak. Tina did say "in the morning these areas might get covered." Tina was by herself from what I saw. Tina did have to stop the service a few times to talk to guests who walked into the store. The most IMPORTANT action I saw Tina do when SERVICE was INTERRUPTED, was Tina TURNING PAUSING THE TIME CLOCK, before helping other clients. To me, this makes all the difference in the world. I can tell you how many times I have experienced this time cheat at massage places. Now, with oil rubbed into my skin, Tina did the comb again. This was followed up with The Great Ginger Wrap. The ginger wrap is what takes this experience to its highest level. The ginger wrap went onto my back and believe you me, it goes on frosty cold. If you were sleeping during the massage/combing, you will wide awake like Eminem sings in his song. Fear not my readers, the frosty cold will not stay frosty cold for to long. Soon the ginger will start heating up and for those who find the heat stronger than you would like, Speak up. Tina kept this up on my lower back and legs. I thought she would put the ginger cloth on my glutes, but she did not. The ginger oils would light my ass on fire if Tina had done this. Now if you want ginger cloth on your gluteus maximus, speak up and let the technician know. The heating of my body was an experience I have never experienced before. I know I will do this again at least one more time. The curtain area area for this massage/body combing is still a work in progress. The main curtain area which can move back and forth needs to be a solid color and not see-through. Tina informed me she plans on having the curtains updated, but the curtains she has in mind haven't arrived from her country yet. I will revisit this business after some time has expired and give another review on this business. Until then, I give this first experience a 5 star experience. Tina was very informative about her products and business. The ambience in the store gave off a great vibe. Also in two weeks time, the Himalayan Salt Bath will be up an running. I should have an update on this as well. This was definitely a five star experience even with the limited privacy. I shall experience this again and have more to say at a later time.

I wanted to see the prices for the hourly service and got her permission to take a photo of the price list. Please see the picture provided. Anna now has her expected client so I can't ask her a question I just had in my mind. Another time then. This business looks new, but I can't ask Anna this question now. The place is pretty dark and a bit spooky with the glow of the soft red light in the establishment. Anna gave off a somewhat friendly presence, but not like My Spa's Mia. I will still give this place another chance, but probably not until after July 15th 2022. $80 an hour is pushing it, but we will see. I will give an updated experience for the massage itself. This is my first experience and it came of a bit cold. I hope the next meeting will be better.

Overall, I think this is a great at-home option when you want a restorative massage without going too far out of your way (or time is limited). Spas where you can pass a leisurely few hours are their own level of indulgence, but this is an excellent choice for an on-the-go person in need of some quality R&R!
