The software is clunky, and not a smooth transition whatsoever between areas of the program. The…read moreonly way to install the software is to allow Mr G full access to your computer with a reach-out program no one has ever heard of that he sends you a link for. Who knows what else he is looking at in your system, or if he is copying files as he works!? The interface does not work properly, and does not communicate with QB as he said it would. Forms are hard to maneuver through, and most of them are outdated versions. You can not print them because the system wont adjust the templates to being printable and the standard of sizing for his
program is off the radar. We found Mr G to be pushy and argumentative and when you ask for help with the program he comes across as it being your fault the program isnt working as he said it would, rather than admitting that his software is faulty and poorly constructed!
Our most recent interaction with the company is below:
(NOV 3rd, 2015): We cancelled our subscription to Dealer-Mate in July 2015. We had originally planned on just taking a break from our sales business, as it is secondary to our other busy and successful company. On Nov 2nd, 2015 someone in the Dealer-Mate company charged our credit card twice... once for $495, and again for $100. These charges were unauthorized and our card number should not have even still been on file within the companys records at this point in time. I reached out to Mr G immediately upon finding the charges on our statement and his response was that he "needed to call someone" and that he would "call me back tomorrow". After not hearing from him by 3pm (24 hours after the call I made) I emailed him, including the string from our cancellation conversation. His response was that he "is busy
and shorthanded", and "not to worry", as well as some insinuating remarks that sounded like he felt the charges were justified!
STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS THEY ARE FRAUDULENT, ETHICALLY CHALLENGED AND SHADY... THEY WILL ATTEMPT TO STEAL FROM YOU IF GIVEN THE CHANCE!
UPDATE1:
(December 1st, 2015): Mr G has AGAIN attempted to charge our card for a monthly fee of $100, after it has been made clear that we unsubscribed in July of 2015, and other charges were already disputed with card issuer. Unauthorized charging to a card is called FRAUD! I was also threatened by Mr G during a phone call where he stated "You should realize I work
with programmers and such very closely and can make hell for you and your businesses on the internet and no one could trace it to me", to which I reminded him that all phone calls into and out of this facility are recorded, and his response to that was "You misunderstand me, I am certain. English not my first language and sometime I say wrong words". To be clear, there was absolutely NO misunderstanding of his intent with the words he spoke, and the tone in which he said them.
UPDATE2:
(January 11th, 2016): When the card issuer let Mr G know that the charges were being disputed, and would be returned to us he actually had the audacity to challenge the dispute!! He provided "proof" that he had a right to charge us which consisted of a printed screen shot of his OWN Quickbooks style system of the page where he listed us as a customer! No contract, nothing signed by either of us in any way, and nothing that would actually consist of PROOF. I had to write a statement and then print off all the email transactions where he admitted it was wrong, and shows proof of cancellation and resubmit the disputes for those unauthorized and fraudulent charges. Not to mention the audio files where he THREATENED me with an online backlash against our companies on two occasions, after I had reminded him that the call was being recorded!
BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! They keep telling me how successful they are, however they still have the need to steal from former customers who cancelled months ago? Mr G is a liar, a thief, a scammer, a bully and a complete fraud. DO NOT BUY HIS SOFTWARE!
UPDATE3:
(September 11th, 2023): Seven years later I got an email from Yelp and had to update the verbiage in my review due to a "keyword" that was suddenly flagged. Hope I found it, and got it fixed so that this companys fraudulent ways stay somewhat exposed with an honest review of our experience with them, and more specifically with Mr G.
