Let me start with the positives. We had some big landscaping jobs done this summer. Thirty year old giant shrubs were excavated, new stones added to our large horseshoe driveway. It was all done expertly. I was dismayed that this landscaper didn't and couldn't give me any information about how to care for all the new shrubs they installed. Not even to tell me to water them! I was told to "Google it." The major problems we had were with the office staff. When I called initially to schedule the work, the woman was very helpful and friendly. That was the last time she was. I called about a week after paying a deposit to find out when to expect the crew and I was told in a very exasperated tone of voice that they were working two weeks out. Four days later I got a call from another woman who gave me an exact day. Why couldn't the first woman have explained "you'll get a call in about two weeks..."? They got the bulk of the job finished in one day but we had to wait more than a week because they ran out of the black weed cover, then another week after that because they were short one shrub. It was a lot smaller than the other five and when we pointed that out we were told it's grow in. It still hasn't caught up. When we went to pay the balance, we checked on the deferred grass seeding. Understandably, they don't do that mid-summer. She had no record of it and denied that it was included and we were nervous about having to fight about this, until she finally found it. A few weeks after we paid the balance we got a paper bill in our mail that gave us a big red "balance due." That was ultimately cleared up too, but what is the story with that office? The guy showed up to do the seeding a few weeks ago without any advance warning! Ok, it wasn't a problem since we were home due to Covid, but what if we needed to be home or there was a reason why we didn't want it done on that day? Why didn't someone call? If the work crews hadn't been so pleasant and done such a good job, I wouldn't recommend. If you can deal with the disorganization of the other aspects of the work, and lack of supportive instruction, then they're okay! read more

I purchased three (3) yards of topsoil from Larlham Landscape in late March 2016. My purchase was made over the phone. The service was excellent and the top soil was of very high quality. From start to finish, Larlham did a great job. The woman who took my order was wonderful. The employee making the delivery called me in advance. I confirmed he had the right house and he dropped the top soil right where I wanted it. I also live and work in the Boston area so I couldn't assist or supervise. I arrived at my home in Westerly on a Thursday night. Friday morning I moved about 1.5 yards by hand. The top soil was of excellent quality. No clay at all. Maybe one stone the size of a penny. One 4" stick (maybe this blew into the load on the drive over). It rained Friday night and the soil I hauled and spread was compacted. Small pebbles appeared - nothing over 1/8" and not many at all. The price for three yards of topsoil was excellent. I don't make purchases like this every day, but when I do, it's going to be from Larlham Landscape. read more

Mr LarIham, I paid you the money up front for the landscaping. My landscaping was worse than ever especially where I had the water issue. I have video to post. The road looks like a curvy sidewalk. None of the other work was touched. You send me a letter saying if I go with the second half of the plan you will finish the first part that I already payed for $3500.  The video on my phone would look good on your page. You ripped me off and still think because I'm old and alone you will get away with it. I still have the contract. You put the loam I ordered on my neighbors land. I am copying this note to send to Yelp, 7 on your side, and show the true side of your morals. There are numerous other problems you caused and never tried to rectify. I was too trusting and had never had to deal with contracts which my husband was the businessman. I was so patient with you for months. Numerous times I waited for you to show up for a appointment and you never showed. I had to get a lawyer to get your company back but little was done. The town said I could fix the road and the neighbors agreed. You have no respect and no morals and I actually saw you on my churches website. I just had Larlham crew clear out woods around my house that was encroaching on the mowed yard. I hired them for a half day and two men did an amazing amount of work during that time. They cleaned up small bushes, dead trees, chipped the debris and hauled it all away in a truck. Pricey for a half day of work, but I've found in landscaping you get what you pay for and this work was worth the price. This is the second time I've used Larlham for tree work and I give them an unequivocal thumbs up. read more

I did not have a great experience with this Landscape Company. 1st in looking at the delivery, it did not look like it was the 5 yards that I ordered. I got a call back from the company basically saying it was. Now that it has been spread, I can not tell you how many large rocks are in the mix. Hundreds! The seeds have already been spread. Unbelievable. Save yourself the trouble and find another place to get your topsoil. read more
