They are the worst of the worst. Shoddy cement work. Horrible service. Go to anyone else.

We had our driveway removed and replaced by Laroma. They did a great job. We had a tricky transition at the end of our driveway that looks awesome. They did their best to save our plants and brought in dirt and seed (the quote was a little higher than others because of this, but it was worth it for us). Good bunch of guys working on the crew, we enjoyed talking with them as we came and went. We were not disappointed. Our driveway exceeds our expectations. read more

Two days after, he called to double check that I am a pleased customer. Thrilled with the work that this concrete firm did, I'd recommend him to anyone. Laroma Concrete has completed several projects for us over the past 7-years. They created a beautiful, one of a kind Michigan shaped patio, installed sidewalk, created a border for our asphalt driveway and performed resealing. I am not one who wants to put someone working on a project through mental labor as well. I paid $21,500 for this project. Concrete floors with a deck built above. I was polite and understanding all the way through. I wanted to wait until they finished the concrete to mention a HUGE running crack happening almost two weeks after it settled. I txtd Chris on a Monday about wanting Trex railings. He responded on Wednesday saying he's sorry he missed my txt and that they were putting up railings that day (Wednesday). Not only does the main railing board have black mold on it but it's also bending as if it were forced into being screwed into the post. When I asked for a $500 discount he threatened to put a lien on my house. Quote " I'm not going to budge on this. The time to tell me about the railings was at the beginning of the project not half way thru it. I'm not going to pay hundreds of dollars because someone thinks I don't read text messages soon enough. I'm 68 yrs old. My phone doesn't run my life. I'm old school. I do what I say I'm going to do." They were completely rude the entire time and if you're interested in seeing photos view their Google page. I'm 10years deep into customer service as general management as well as owning my own business and I'm 30 years old. I feel completely taken advantage of and I am shocked he has this many reviews. As my two neighbors put up their decks in two days, this entire project took them four weeks. My neighbor joked saying "do you want me to come over there and finish it for you?" I will end up spending another 5k fixing the concrete run, adding the railings that go with the boards, and time/labor of doing it myself making it a 26k project. What an absolute joke. They did a wonderful job paving our driveway. It was done in a timely fashion and very professionally. I would definitely use them again.

Never pulled a permit for my driveway. I ended up paying over $200 for permit, fines, etc. I was told for months they'd be reimbursing me, never received anything, and couldn't get a call back. Eventually got in touch with the owner, he said, "Sorry, but I won't be reimbursing you." I called the township and was told that they've been ducking permits for years and was told to stay away from them. It's unfortunate, because the concrete looked decent, that they couldn't do it the right way :( read more

When I first called Laroma, I reached their voicemail which asked me to leave my name and number and describe the type of project I was looking to have done (retaining walls). I received a call back a short time later from a gentleman at the company and scheduled an appointment for him to come to my place to take a look at it and give me an estimate on the project. The day for the estimate came, but no one from the company did and no one called me to let me know they wouldn't be coming or to reschedule. I called the company number and got the same voicemail. I left my name and number, explained that someone was supposed to have come out to my place to give me an estimate, and asked if anyone was still coming out. This was 5 days ago and I still have not gotten a return call to explain why the appointment was abandoned without so much as a courtesy call. Maybe they do good work; maybe they don't. I suppose I will never find out. However, if this is the sort of service they render their customers, would you really want them performing work for you? If there are any issues, good luck getting hold of anyone to fix them. read more
