He just wanted it shorter around the ear- how could that be misunderstood??? It was a true emergency, because there was no way I would let my child go through the humiliation of going to school the next day like that. It was really THAT bad! I started dialing and hoping some kind person would understand and help us, but who would ever take someone after 8pm, and that was IF we could get someone to answer our call at 7:50pm. That is when i called Like salon, and this angel named Tracy answered and listened to our situation. It takes a very kind person to decide to help total strangers who were asking her to stay past closing time and take a brand new client, and that is the person Tracy is. We've all had a bad haircut at least once in our lives, but this was far worse, and it would take a very experienced person to somehow salvage what was left of my child's hair, and cut it into something that looked at least like a normal haircut. We knew it would mean having to cut all the gorgeous locks off that took over a year to grow, but seriously, there was no other way. Still, Tracy was able to transform a nightmare into a dream, and while the long hair was gone, the end result was a very smart style that will grow out well. It is quite attractive, and while my child was still inconsolable over losing all that hair, what a life saver Tracy was, and I can only imagine how gorgeous my child's hair will be as we continue to see her to shape it while it grows out again. I asked him to cut it shorter and he let out a sharp exhale and looked up at the sky like he was pissed that I asked. It made me feel not good, the way he acted. I get it though, he's a grumpy old guy who probably just wants to retire, and we go there to get our hair cut, not for therapy, but still, I want to look good. After standing there for like 10 seconds being pissed and without even saying anything, he reluctantly did it, but barely trimmed anything at all, it literally didn't look any different. I wasn't going to ask again, so I went on my way. My family has told me the top is too long without me even saying anything. So I am going to someone else tomorrow to get it trimmed. 3 stars for being a good barber in the past but -2 for making me feel like he was pissed at me and for making me go to someone else to get it done how I like. But Gerardo will probably get you right. I haven't experienced the weird stuff some other reviews have stated. But me personally, I think going forward I will take my business elsewhere, but I wish him the best.
