I traded in my car on August 17, 2024, and initially, the experience was fantastic. I walked away with a new 2024 Honda, thanks to the professionalism of my sales agent, Steven, and finance guy, Serguei. Unfortunately, things took a significant turn for the worse. Two weeks later, I called my financial institution to confirm my old car was paid off, only to discover it hadn't been. I waited another week, thinking the check might be delayed, but after three weeks, I contacted the dealership. I spoke to three different people, and no one could provide answers. Finally, a manager confirmed that the check had never been mailed! This was on 09/09/2024. To make matters worse, I was informed that I was still responsible for my car payment despite their oversight. My payment was $450 and the manager reassured me I'd get my money back once they sent the payment because the check payoff would be for the original amount that was agreed on for my old car. He also said the check would be overnighted to my financial institution and this conversation was on Monday, 09/09/2024 (3 weeks after I traded my car in). I call my financial institution on Wednesday, 09/11/2024 and my loan hadn't been paid off.... I call every day that week and nothing. I still had a loan balance. I decide to wait until the following Monday, 09/16/2024 to check if my loan balance was paid off and nothing. So I decide to call my financial institution again right before they closed and they said they finally got the check and confirmed it WASN'T OVERNIGHTED! Even though manager promised it would be...... And because the check was delayed the overage amount was only $380 and not $450 because of the interest that is accumulated daily. Later that week, I received a voicemail from Dona, saying my tags were ready for pickup. After driving over 30 minutes after work, I discovered that my tags weren't there. The sales agent looked for about ten minutes but couldn't find them and told me to call Dona to resolve it. I was incredibly frustrated at this point. The next day, I tried calling the front desk to reach Dona, but after multiple attempts and being routed back to the main menu, I decided to speak with a sales agent. He assured me that Dona was at her desk and would transfer me to her. I insisted on speaking to a manager instead, as I felt ignored. Ultimately, he promised to find Dona and get back to me. He revealed that the previous agent hadn't even looked in the right place for my tags, which was infuriating. Of everyone I spoke to, this agent was the only one to apologize for the inconvenience. Not even the manager who messed up the check mailing offered an apology. The sales agent I was speaking to assured me he would personally hand me my tags when I arrived at the dealership, but there was nothing more he could do regarding the poor experience. In summary, the lack of communication and accountability at this dealership has been incredibly frustrating. I cannot recommend trading in a car here unless you're prepared for lengthy delays and poor customer service. I'm car shopping for a new "used" car, and have narrowed my search down to the Honda Accord. Someone I know used to work at this location, and recommend getting in touch with one of the salesman that still works there that he knows. Everything I was looking for was explained over the phone, and was waiting for me when I got to the car lot. I didn't have to do much before I got there, as everything was waiting for me. Which was pretty cool. There were only two cars on the lot that fit my fixed parameters, and they were ready for me to jump in and test drive. This process was really easy. The salesman took a picture of my drivers licence on his phone (which I do NOT like, but it is the way car lots are doing it now) and gave me the keys and away I went. ( At least they don't jump in the car with you, like the used to, when you test drove a car.) What I really want is a brand new car, what I can afford is a new used car that is several years old, but with decent mileage, and not that much noticeable wear and tear. The two cars that were available on the lot and I test drove, didn't match my criteria so I left. I have to give a shout out to the no pressure salesman. He asked if I would be willing to try something different, but what was in my price range. I said "No" and he said "You have my information. please give me a call if I can be of service." How cool is that? He also showed me that he deleted the picture of my drivers licence. read more

Went there and was told someone would be with us shortly and that they were "busy". We waited for 30 minutes and the only person who came to talk to us was unironically a mechanic-looking person who wanted to make sure his department hadn't forgotten anyone. Wish we were there for parts since it seems like at least the mechanics side of things is competent, sadly we were there to try and buy a car. We left to go out and look at cars in the lot, walked around for 10ish minutes and came back in and sat down again, waiting for a salesman. Waited another 20 before we just gave up and left. I thought the bit of car dealerships was that you couldn't get the salesmen to leave you alone, not that you had to beg for attention like they're your absentee father. Also, we saw maybe 2-4 people that looked like customers, the other 10 or so people we saw were all Honda employees. So 'busy' my ass. Do NOT buy tires here. Bought a set of tires here two years ago. Have only put 10,000 miles on that car since then. Don't drive it much. Have had nothing but trouble with my Goodyear Assurance tires. One tire had to be refilled with air about every two weeks. They said they sealed it and checked it out multiple times. Had a warranty for the tires, but they were reluctant to give me a new tire to replace the defective one. When they finally did replace it I had the same type of trouble with the "new" tire. Both must have been the oldest tires in the warehouse. Finally went and bought a brand new tire from Discount tires. A company that understands customer service and honoring a tire warranty. Will never buy tires from a dealership again. Especially this one. read more

When the wheel and tire modifications installed by the dealership damaged my brand new vehicle, it was insinuated by the general manager that the damage was my fault; even though it is undeniable the damage was caused by the dealership's negligence. As a long time customer of Larry H. Miller Honda, I don't know where to start with this terrible experience with this company. I had a new 2022 CRV that I bought in August of 2022 turning in my 2019 CRV with very low mileage on a three year lease. I was called many times by the salesman that we knew very well wanting me to turn in my 2019 CRV early promising the same car payment on a new 2022, My husband had passed away the year before, so I took my son with me to get my new car. Everything went well except for a glitch with the loan from a credit company where I had many problems getting it set up, though the dealership had supposedly set it up. well, I had a situation after the first of the year of 2023 where I took my car to my local car wash and in the middle of the cycle, I started getting water coming from the top of the inside of the car. Of course, I was stuck in the car wash until it was finished. I took it down to Larry H. Miller Honda to see what the problem was and the service department told me it was leaking. They kept it overnight and informed me it couldn't be fixed by them and nothing could be done. They said every time they opened it up it damaged it more. They said it was not repairable by them. Sent me over to LHM Collision to get an estimate. The person giving me the estimate said he had never seen anything like it. He wasn't sure what had happened. He suggested that I go back to LHM and see if the warranty would cover at least the glass. When I took it back and told them what they had said. He said the warranty probably wouldn't cover it, but he would try and give me a call. He also told me some other negative things I won't go into. I didn't hear from anyone for a week and finally called down there trying to get information. The Parts Manager finally called me and said the warranty couldn't cover anything and to make an appointment with the sales person and he would take care of it. To make a long story short, after meeting with the salesman they didn't say anything about my 2022 car, but told me to pick out another car. It happened the 2023 car was twice the amount of my other lease payment. Frustrated I went home and the more I thought about it, the more frustrated I became. The next day I went back and told them I didn't want the car and they had not told me anything about my car and just tried to sell me a car. They said it was my fault about the damage to the car, even though it had not been driven very far and I was the only one that drove it. They said my 2022 car couldn't be fixed because they couldn't guarantee it wouldn't leak. They wouldn't take the new car back because it was registered. Being upset they tried to do a couple of changes to my contract. There is more to this story, but you get the idea of this problem and how it was handled. I will never go back to LHM again for service or sales. Since the dealership has been sold, I have heard nothing but negative reports. Before this incident I had been a happy customer. My dad and brother accompanied me to come get an emissions check and also helped me renew my registration. The guys at Larry H Miller Honda are awesome. They were prompt, professional, friendly and said that they could get my car finished in 20 minutes. Payments for emissions and also registration were taken there as well. I was really impressed with the quick service, especially considering the fact that we did not have an appointment. My old car broke down so I went shopping for a new one. I found my cute little car at the LHM HONDA in Murray! I fell in love with this car the second I saw it. It was the color I wanted, great on gas, the inside is just everything I needed. I spent about 6 hours here and talked to a *BRAND NEW* salesman. (I was his first car sell!) Now, he was nice. I wish I remembered his name :( -- he was friendly and kept a friendly conversation. There were two managers I talked to, one said hi then left the other was there with me for the last 4 hours I was there. he was the one that was pushy and wanting me to settle the deal when I wasn't comfortable with the numbers. I understand that 6 hours is a long time but buying my first car is also something that is serious. He would act professional in front of me; however, I did see him roll his eyes a couple times when I said no to offers. The first manager I spoke to came back towards the end to make sure I was taken care of. He actually offered me a better deal than the one who was helping me originally that saved me $500. I wish I remembered his name. Overall, my experience here was good. The employees were nice. (except that manager). I would not recommend buying a car here. Jim the sales manager is pushy and does not listen to what you have to say. I understand he is busy being a manager. He jumps to conclusions and cuts you off before you are done talking. I bought a pilot at larry h miller honda and had transmission problems on the way home. I called them immediately ( within an hour of buying the car )to get help figuring things out. They had the shop look at it and the problem could not be identified. They would not let us return the car or exchange without offering us $4000 less than we paid for the car even as an exchange for another car on their lot. They do not stand behind their vehicles. We ended up trading is the car at a different dealership because I don't want LHM to sell the car to another unsuspecting person. I had been in the market to purchase a new car for the past several months. I had test driven 20+ different cars during that time narrowing to what I wanted. Test driving should be fun, but quite frankly an experience I would find myself dreading due to many sales associates focused more on what is important to them, their dealerships and overt sales tactics. This is probably more apparent to me as I have been a sales leader focused on training, enablement, and operations for over 26 years with a well-known company in the valley. I had an unexpected and memorable experience on March 30 when I decided to test drive a 2018 Honda Civic Hatchback with the Sport Touring trim at LHM Honda in Murray. It was then I met Jared Price. Jared was interested in what I was hoping to find with the Civic. He didn't greet me with the typical, what will it take to get you in a car this evening, what is your desired monthly payment, and what car will you be trading in. During the test drive, I was so impressed with Jared's knowledge about the Civic. There wasn't a question asked he didn't know the answer. He also realized my interest in technical features and walked me through all of the options and dissolved concerns I had based on online reviews. After the test drive, I informed Jared about some of the other cars I had recently driven and he didn't start the competitive bashing I experienced elsewhere, but stayed focused on the strengths of the Civic. I then left LHM Honda for one last test drive at another dealership in Murray, which was right back to the typical experience. Shortly thereafter, I returned to negotiate the purchase of the Civic. The negotiating, financing and preparation of my car only continued to impress me. There was no back and forth, with long delays to finalize a fair price for all of us. I was introduced to Brad who was very helpful throughout the finalizing of the financing. While meeting with Brad, Jared washed and prepared my car and had it ready to go. During the test drive, I had shared the experience of my last car purchase from a Nissan dealership in Murray. I had purchased a new Maxima GLE that off the lot had several issues with the most frustrating being a big dent in the hood that I missed in the excitement of getting a new car. I was treated as if I were a con artist when only wanting help from them to do what was right. Jared knowing the details of that experience was upfront with me after he inspected my Civic. Before leaving the dealership, he pointed out a few scratches on the car. He took the initiative to make it right and after having the car for a week, I had the scratches fixed. I have also appreciated his follow-up wanting to know about my experience with the car and always available to answer questions. In the end, I really like my new Civic and have absolutely no regret with my decision. But in the end, it was the sales experience that made it very easy and pleasant for me to buy my Civic after months of delaying. Without any hesitation, I give LHM Honda and my experience with Jared 5 Stars and will happily refer all my family and friends. At another dealer, I found a "once in a lifetime" price on a truck I was looking for. I was thrilled, but the listing went up on a Sunday morning, so I decided to call them first thing on Monday. I did just that and was working with that other dealer with the intention to buy (was waiting for the salesman to send me photos). An hour or two later, the dealer called me back and told me they had just sold it. Bummer! Yeah, I wasn't happy about it, but someone else got lucky, and good for them! But nope! That's not how it was at all! This Larry H Miller dealer bought it from the other dealer and two days later, put it up for sale at a price that was *$7,000 MORE* than what they paid for it (or what I was able to get it for -the other dealer's asking price, but since dealers typically sell to each other a "wholesale" prices, LHM's price may have even been lower than that!). In the past, I've looked at vehicles at LHM dealers (this one and others), and every time, they have treated me like garbage. They have lost 4 vehicle purchases just from me. Now after this latest blatant show that they don't care about ripping people off, I'll absolutely never step foot in another LHM dealer. I purchased a car from this dealership two years ago for my daughter through the Costco discount program. I paid cash which In my opinion they were not happy about since they could not finance and make additional money....I get this. They should be happy about the service fees they earn through car maintenance though. Two years later now....when trying to buy a car for my son they would not even quote me a discounted price through the Costco program when I told them I was going to purchase (not finance) and wanted no dealer add ons like door guards or theft ID protection or an extended warranty. I just gave them a poor review through Costco....like I am doing so here. So I negotiated a great deal and purchased a car for my son from another dealership downtown in SLC. Called in and set up a time to come check out a car and give it a test drive. When we arrived we were told to sit and someone would be with us shortly. After 30 minutes we were told that they were pulling the car around and that it would be just a few minutes. Another 20 minutes roll by and we were told that the car had transmission problems and was auctioned off earlier in the day. A simple phone call earlier in the day about the car being auctioned off could have helped us to avoid wasting some time. But we waisted an hour. Friendly staff but it took way too long. read more

Buyer beware. This place is the stereotypical "shady" car dealership you should always avoid. When we bought our car through them we had "free oil changes" to use for the first 3 years. That's fine, except every time my wife would take it in, she would walk away paying anywhere from $60 - $150. Every 6 months they would say all filters need to be changed, your rear differential needs to be flushed, etc. My wife ultimately purchased three more oil changes with then for the 3/$75 price because it seemed to be a good deal. However, the bait and switch continued and the first one she used resulted in another $100 charge for something that was likely unnecessary. We called in today to see the status of our oil changes and they say we have two more that expire within the next two months. We are not going to redeem either of our remaining oil changes. I'd rather forfeit the money than get jerked around by this awful group. Larry H. Miller once said, "Go out into the world and do good until there is too much good in the world." It looks like I will have to take my business elsewhere to find that kind of service. read more

The biggest problem I had when purchasing this car on 7/31/20 was the waiting around during the sale process why the salesman was working someone else at the same time. Then when everything was done and the car was supposed to be all ready the salesman said I don't have time to go over the car and we didn't have time to fill it with gas. But if you come back tomorrow we can do all that. So on Saturday 8/1 I call my salesman and said what time I was planning on coming so we get to the dealership and can't find the salesman even after paging him so I called him and he answers the phone and says they had me go pick up a car and I'll be back as soon as I can. So I ask the finance guy about getting my car filled up he takes my keys into the offices and said someone would do it for me after another 10 to 15 minutes I go into the offices and ask for my keys and said that I'm tired of waiting and they guy said sorry I was going to get someone to do that I said no just give me the keys. This is after waiting for almost an hour for the salesman and the fill up. It's like after they sale you a car you don't get any customer service . Scott Harding sent me an email thanking me and said to let him know if there was any problems with my purchase. So I Called him left a message and emailed him no response. I had been calling around and nobody had what we were looking for. When I called LHM Honda I was told that Yes! They had several of exactly what we were looking for and to come on over. I finished up at work and ran over. I asked to speak to the sales associate I had spoken to on the phone. He took me to see the newest model. I informed him that is not what we wanted, we were looking for used....nope, they didn't have that...only new. I was very clear on the phone. He went on to say they would give me a great deal and to keep an open mind. We negotiated for awhile, I still wasn't sure as my husband had been clear about which year he wanted. But when I discovered that there was price fixing going on with my trade-in, coming from Iowa and Arizona, I about fell off my chair. How did I discover that? Arranged to test drive a 2017 Subaru Outback. Put down $500 to place the hold on the car. Was told there were two keys to the car. Waited for the car dealership representative to pick me up at the airport. They had my flight number. LHM rep had the paper work ready for me to sign. I asked if I may test drive the car first. I test drove the car for about 15 minutes. Nearly three hours later I was signing the paperwork. Was told "just 10 more minutes," "just three more minutes". Took about 10 minutes for me to sign the paperwork. Was given one set of keys. Contacted dealership next day to have other key sent to me. Was told the person with access to the keys had a family emergency. They asked me to call back. I called back and the person who said there were two keys acted as if he did not remember our conversation. The rep who sold me the car said he could not find the second key. Before I made the purchase they returned phone calls within minutes. After purchase, on four separate occasions, they said they would call back and did not. I have been going here for the last five years and haven't had many issues besides the occasional attempt to upsell me on services. I purchased my car from this dealership so it only makes sense for me to continue going here for my routine oil changes and tire rotations. Their staff is always friendly and greet me with a smile (pre-covid). My last visit left me questioning if I should go to another place for my car maintenance. I scheduled an appointment for a regular oil change and was told it would take around 45 minutes, which is pretty normal. After two hours, I had to check in with someone to make sure I wasn't forgotten about. They checked their systems and told me that it was just barely finishing up, which I'm not sure if I believe. I was handed my keys moments later and left. After a few days of driving, I heard metal banging underneath my car. I had my dad look at it and he stated that one of the technicians must've forgotten to screw a bolt in while replacing something in the undercarriage. It's been rather inconvenient to have to return to the dealership where it's ALWAYS busy. I eventually returned to have a technician look underneath my car. After waiting about half an hour, my keys were returned and told that the issue had been fixed. They did not inform me what had caused the issue. I haven't been back since my last oil change, but I am still undecided if I will return. I have been getting phone calls from salesman trying to buy my car, which I have mentioned plenty of times that I was not interested in selling. The last phone call I received was pretty late into the evening and the salesman couldn't form full sentences, which was very odd and unprofessional. read more

This was the most high pressure sales I experienced on my latest car shopping tour. I hated how long it took and how they kept ignoring what I wanted. This was also one of the places I went to that day to appraise my old car. I'm not sure if it was this dealer or not, but it's possible they ripped my ceiling while investigating the custom radio antennae. It was easy to find and the show floor is nice, but the poor commision driven staff and calls when not wanted and nonresponse to emails all came together to a big Never Again for me. read more

Sent me a "scratch off" prize promotion which stated "you have won a 70" flat screen TV" and in fine print below provided a six digit number instructing me to present it in person to see IF I had won. This is just the most recent example of a long history of ongoing predatory behavior by the Larry H. Miller "family of dealerships". My advice, from one average consumer to another, is that if honesty is one of your values, shop elsewhere, because it is not one of theirs. read more

My experience at this dealership cannot be any worse!!! Wayne Emery is the worst sales person you could ever find, in any industry. After a fast greeting, he sent us to another guy and we test drove the Honda Fit. That car is the basic model and I wanted a car with Apple CarPlay. During the test drive, I asked their guy if they have pre-owned certified Honda Fits and if they have CarPlay. He said Wayne will definitely walk me through every process to make sure I get the car I want. After the test drive, he kicked off the process of evaluating my used car which I planned to trade in. That took him one hour to get us the evaluation and during the process, he came back 3 times to ask further questions about the used car. After waiting for about 1.5 hrs, he came back with a sheet with the trade-in value and financial plan. And I did not like those numbers AT ALL!! Wayne chose that time to show up and be "ready to close the deal". He put all the sales pressure sh*t on me while I still had so many questions left unanswered. He didn't care about the color I wanted, the specifications I needed, he just wanted me to say yes to the payment plan. I told him the trade-in value was too low and I wanted my car to have Apple CarPlay. He decided those were NOT important at all and kept asking me how much I can pay on a down payment. I think he should go to Target, buy Taylor Swift's new album and listen to the song called "You Need To Calm Down". My husband got very upset about the sales pressure and we were ready to leave. However, he said he would re-run the numbers and what he really did was call his manager out, who then tried again to put further pressure on us. Excuse me? Who do you think you are? There's no way I would recommend anyone come to this dealership and deal with their BS!! Now I noticed that Ken Garff dealership actually has 4-star review, and I will try my luck there. Also, they claimed that they're having the "Labor's Day Sale". In reality, it is just some tickets to watch basketball and movies. read more

I bought a car from this dealership about 2 years ago, and it became the worst experience I have ever had in my entire life. They don't even deserve a star. I always wanted to write a review but emotionally wasn't ready. It made me sick to my stomach when I tried. They screwed me over very terribly. They acted as if they were giving me a great deal, but what they did was to overprice the car with a 18% interest rate and a lot of unnecessary options to the contract. Some may say I should've done more research and been more assertive and said no. Yes, I have to admit I was so ignorant about buying a car in this county. I take this experience as a lesson, and this is why I'm writing this review, hoping no one has to pay for the expensive life lesson like I did. Luckily, I have a friend working as a financial specialist and helped me out cancel all the options. One day, we went in to the dealership to check and see if the cancellation had been completed. After leaving the accounting office, we decided to stop by the sales department to ask a couple questions. The sales manager seemed a little irritated, but my friend politely started talking to the manager. Then the manager offensively said, "So who are you?". My friend told him we were friends, and then the manager yelled, "Oh okay then you are not our customer. GET OUT OF HERE!!" We were in shock for a moment. Totally speechless. He ended up arguing with my friend, and in the end, he was yelling at us furiously, "If you guys don't leave, I will call the police! Get out of this room now!! Can't you hear me? GET OUT!" As I said at first, it was 2 years ago, and I hope they are not like this anymore. However, I will not go back to this dealership ever again, or maybe they didn't even care if I would come back for another car because of how they treated me. I recommend going somewhere else or make sure you know 120% what you are doing. read more
