I recently purchased a 1980 Triumph TR7 Convertible. It only came with one ignition key that just so happened to have the words Larry's Locks stamped on it. Soooooo, I looked them up since it's not a good idea to have only one car key. I went there and told them what I needed. The man helping me was so nice. He went to a huge wall of various keys and chose the ones I needed. I figured if having 2 keys would be good 3 keys would be great. So I purchased 2. Both of them work great and the best part was it was so cheap. So cheap in fact that I can't even remember what it costed. Unlike when I had to have a key made for my 1998 Chrysler Sebring Convertible that costed $189.00 from a dealership. OH and now with the dealer key I can't lock my car unless I open the passenger door first or my car goes berserk because it thinks it is being stolen. POOR LITTLE CONFUSED CAR. Before you ask. Yes. Of course I called the dealership and got nothing but a run around. So now I just leave it unlocked. Anyway, back to Larry's. I still need a trunk key for my Triumph. So, my husband is going to remove it from my car and take it to Larry's. The guy told me it would cost something like $35.00-$40.00. I go to Larry's whenever I need keys, or have issues with locks. I've had them replace batteries in key fobs as well. They are also one of the few places in town to duplicate laser cut keys. Simple task failure. I had a set of keys for an old car. Brought period correct old blanks ; GM ignition hex shape and trunk is round. Larry's locksmith did not match up the shape of my blanks to original key. Twice. So 4 NOS Gm keys garbage. Not a big financial blow but isn't a locksmith's job all about shapes and keys? read more

I had bought a new house and wanted to get it rekeyed to one key. Upon the reccomendation of my realtor, I called Larry's Lock. They got me in on the day I needed and gave me a time window to expect their services. I was happy that they gave me a call about 1/2 hour ahead of time so I was ready for them. They were in and out quickly and were very professional. The price was also fair especially since i realized a had 5 locks instead of 3, which wasn't an issue for them. I needed a spare key for a used car that I recently purchased. Nothing fancy, just a key for a 2006 Toyota Matrix. No push buttons, no fob, just a key. I called Kerry Toyota Service in Covington KY where I've been rather satisfied with past service on my truck. I was told that they had the keys in stock for $38, but I would need to schedule the service to program the transmitter key. This would cost $108 for an hour of supposed labor. Not to mention that they couldn't fit me in for 3 more days since I needed an appointment for the "labor". Well I thought I should do some checking around since I needed the key sooner than that. I was pleasantly surprised when I called Larry's Lock and Security in Deer Park. They quoted me $70 total and I didn't need any kind of appointment for the "labor". I stopped in around 4:15 (they close at 5:00) and the friendly technician took my key and had a perfectly working duplicate with the transmitter code embedded in no more than 5 minutes. I was on my way without any delay or hassle at 1/2 the price of the dealer. I realize that dealers are expensive, but I guess what really annoyed me was the flat out lying about the need for 1 hour of labor when I literally watched the technician at Larry's complete the whole process so quickly. I brought it in that morning and it was done by the afternoon. Even with large amount of customers inside the shop. The shop is out of my way but will be my go to locksmith from now on. read more
