It's wild to me that I am here writing a review about a bad experience from 10 months ago that I…read morethought was handled, but has actually come back to haunt me. In June of 2023 I called a contacted Acme through Yelp because I had filled out a "project" request. The request was to unlock a residential doorknob of a basement for a property that I managed. I spoke with Acme on the phone to set up a time for them to come out, at which time they gave me a quote for changing the lock. When the person arrived to change it (Mike), he was unable to get the lock opened and said it would have to be completely removed and replaced with a new lock (after, we were able to contact another locksmith who came out and successfully unlocked the doorknob). This was going to take the visit up to over $300 if they provided a lock. I consulted with the person I managed the property for and they wanted me to buy a lock instead of the using one Acme offered due to the price and inability to complete the job. When I informed Mike of this, he became very short and irritated, asking how long it was going to take, and was very inflexible. I once again consulted with the property manager, and due to the unprofessionalism of Mike, and how much the cost had gone up from the initial quote, he decided not to continue the service with Acme. The property owner contacted Acme, who were apologetic, stated we would not have to pay for the service, said they were "grateful" that I did not write a review of my experience. Now here we are, 10 months later and this week I receive a call from Acme. They said they were "clearing some files," found my invoice and were going to send it to me. This invoice was a $175 charge for a visit and labor fee. They also charge an additional 3% processing fee for payments after 10 days of the invoice. I was never informed of a trip fee that would be charged prior to the visit, or that it was expected to be cash on delivery of service. This is something I assumed would have been established when they gave me the quote. I can adamantly say I do not recommend Acme for locksmith services. The inflexibility of the person who came out to complete the work, the lack of transparency with the charges prior to the visit, and the fact that 10 months later they are now trying to charge me $175 speaks to the lack of integrity within the company.

A few minutes later she managed (after trying dozens of times) to get back in her apartment before the tech arrived. I called Adam back and he was very professional and didn't charge us anything even when I offered to pay something for his trouble. Amazing response and service. Highly recommended!!

This was probably the best experience I had at a Trader Joe's, especially this one. I went at about 7pm which was perfect timing and there were very little people there, it made it much easier to shop around. They had a ton of stuff available, especially for being so late in the day. Everything was mostly stocked. There may have been a few items that they didn't restock yet but to be expected with how late I went. My shopping was quick and easy, and I love the variety and unique stuff that they always have. I also am so thankful with how patient the employees are since I never know where anything is lol! My cashier was super nice and talkative. We chatted about some of their products and it was great to chat and learn more about the cool stuff that they have. I didn't get a good vibe from this person, so I told him I'm not interested. I then received a call from the 859 area code from the same company. I told him I didn't want to do business with him. He called again and I ignored the call. Then, I received two "Unlisted ID" calls. They left two messages for me to call their 844 number. After the second call, I called the number and told them I didn't want to do business with them and to stop calling me. She hung up on me! My instincts from the first call were correct.

Naturally the process started after getting into a new residence with a different key for every lock. Naturally, I came to Yelp for searching/researching for a solution. I received two replies from my initial inquiry. One with the preverbal "call us" and then there was The Flying Locksmith. They gave me an estimate and contact info if I wanted to schedule. How simple... right? I called and spoke with a representative who recapped what I had inquired about online and booked an appointment. The morning of my appointment the technician called to advise me of his arrival time and made it on the mark. After a brief introduction he started rekeying my locks. Everything he needed was in his van. None of this "I need to go back to the shop stuff" and in about an hour he was done. Very friendly and informative experience including discovering a lock I had not even thought about! All told I spent about $140 and well worth the investment. I would DEFINITELY recommend!!

Erik showed up right on time and was very professional, friendly and fast. He re-keyed all of the locks and took them apart to oil everything so that they worked smoothly. He made certain I understood how the locks worked, especially the one for the safe room, before cleaning up and heading out. Best of all was his shockingly affordable rate - I had to verify it with him twice to make certain it was accurate. Great service, highly recommended. If I were a realtor I would use him for every new home owner to help them secure their new home.
