I've also found wads of shaved pet fur in both the washers and dryers. It is disappointing and unsanitary that customers personal clothing are being washed in the same machines as such an abundant amount of dog bathing and grooming items. I think Spin Cycle should consider designating specific machines for animal-use laundry to help prevent odors and fur from affecting other customers loads.

I called the owner of the laundromat and he immediately apologized and drove 45 minutes to refund my money. We visited Joe & Kate's Laundromat twice during our time in Bryson City--once on our way through and again over the Fourth of July--and both experiences were wonderful. The laundromat is exceptionally clean, has plenty of washers and dryers, and everything was easy to use. What really stood out, though, was how welcoming everyone was. The staff was friendly, helpful, and made us feel completely comfortable from the moment we walked in. As campers traveling through the area, that kind of hospitality means a lot. They even offered helpful suggestions about parking and camping in the area, which was above and beyond what we expected from a laundromat. It felt less like stopping to do chores and more like being welcomed into the community. If you're camping in the Bryson City area, traveling through, or you're a local who needs a clean, reliable place to wash larger loads, Joe & Kate's is absolutely the place to go. The bathrooms are clean and always stocked. (and the one time they were not I let the staff know and she was RIGHT on it and thanked me rather than acting like it was an inconvenience) Plenty of carts (small and large) tables, stools at tables, seats. Well lit with flat screens on both walls and free wifi! They even have an automatic button on the doors with a ramp and crosswalk going to the parking lot! There is cameras covering the entire place. We bring my 4 year old with us to do our laundry and the absolute best thing about clean right is the KIDS ZONE! He has space he can be without being in the way and it makes it fun for him to come with us and less like a chore. They have a fun rug, flex seating, a table with chairs, books and a TV with cartoons and fun paintings on the walls! You can see the kids zone from multiple folding tables so he is able to stay seated there while we fold but we still have eyes on him at all times. There was fun decorations featuring a large Grinch for Christmas that my son also enjoyed. They have vending for laundry supplies and well as snacks that take cards, coins or bills. They have options for payments, an app to use to do all cashless, an ATM and a coin machine. You can even add cash to the app using the coin machine. We use the app and have zero issues, it even sends you notifications when your cycle is almost done. They also offer pick up or drop off laundry services as well. The staff is always friendly and here to help if you have an issue or questions, plus they will press the door button if they see you headed to it with your hands full. Affordable prices as well, a little more than other places close but for all the other things mentioned it's well worth the few extra dollars we spend each week. All around BEST LAUNDRY MAT IN GAINESVILLE and I and SOOO glad we found this place. It makes our unwelcome task of laundry outside the home a little more peaceful!! Despite the reviews, I stopped in and the folks were so nice and friendly. They helped me out with cash for the machines. While I waited, I watched one of the employees (Chris) ask an older couple if he could help them. Another lady put too much soap in a small machine and I watched Chris help her out. Sure there were machines out of order but there were lots of "thank you's" and "have a good day's". Sometimes that's all you need nowadays.
