Literally love my nails. Everyone at Larry's takes their time and is super thorough through every step of the process in cleaning, shaping, and of course painting your nails. I really love their color options including the "unicorn"/holographic style I chose. I highly recommend coming to Larry's Nails! I'm not from the area but when I decided to get my nails done on a Sunday, they were one of the few shops that was open. For me, service is everything and to have Larry talk to you on a personal level while doing my nails is a plus! Not only that, he was able to accommodate for me and my needs. NEVER AGAIN!!! I came here based on reviews. Well, I was DEFINITELY DISAPPOINTED!! I should've known when I called & asked what the wait time would be, from the not so pleasant attitude what I was in for. So I pull up to the front & should've left right then. The shop can use a huge makeover (along with the Customer Service.) I asked the prices for the services I needed, mani & pedi....was told the price, pick my color & CASH ONLY! Is what I was told by, Larry. (I learned who was who by being silent & observant.) Ummmm....ok. Thx, that's not an issue (is what I'm thinking.) I was directed to the Spa chair, by Rosie. (I learned her name through observation.) My water was EXTREMELY hot. I asked for some cold to be added, she did, but it seemed to annoy her that I asked. While my service was being performed (which was great...just minus THE USED NAIL FILE FROM WHO KNOWS HOW MANY OTHER PEOPLE!!!) THAT'S A NO NO!! I asked for Rosie to use a new one, she did, with annoyance & an attitude. Then started speaking in her native tongue. We all know what that means. Sigh. Now mind you, from the time I entered to the time I left, Larry was angry with his Internet provider (I believe). He was loud & going in on the people on the phone, "I WANT TO CANCEL MY SERVICE!" Is what he was saying EXTREMELY loud, the entire shop was in his business. That was very unprofessional, right?! Now, it's time for me to leave. Again, Rosie did a great job on my pedicure (minus the used file I had to stop her from attempting to use on me.) I was offered paper sandals, because I didn't bring my own & found out when it was time for me to pay for my service (because I questioned my total) that they charge $1 for the sandals!! WoW!! That's a 1st for me, I've never paid for sandals at any nail shops I've been to. I paid for it, it was just deducted from the tip I was going to leave.‍ Also, the spa chair remote is policed by the technician. When I touched it to adjust the beating on my back, it was taken from me. REALLY?! I asked Rosie, am I not allowed to adjust the settings to my preference (which 98% of them DIDN'T WORK!) She then handed the remote back, with the side eye. How awkward, especially when I'm paying to use the chair (with the broken remote. ) Needless to say, lesson learned. Upon arrival I initially thought it looked a bit sketch but have had the worst experiences with high end salons in my area. I must say, my pedicures last two plus weeks and my nails are always neat, and EXACTLY what I ask for. Not to mention I could def go every three weeks as opposed to two. I love my nails. I came here because a friend of mine recommended this place. Her nails looked so natural and amazing so I wanted to give it a try. I have not gotten my nails done in over a year. I don't normally like getting nails because I type a lot and I can't seem to get used to them. Thankfully the technician made them short enough for me to be comfortable typing and long enough to be noticed. I came here 15min. before their closing time and they still took me in. Larry's nails may have good service how ever the owner and workers have no integrity. I went to Larry's nails as a recommendation. My friend said she goes there all the time. I went today and the lady that did my nails stole $20 from me. I accidentally gave her $80 for a $51 service on and immediately noticed my mistake. I saw her slide the extra $20 in her desk and lie to my face about how much money I gave her. She acted as if that $20 was already in her desk which was a LIE! All while the manager/owner Larry stood there and ignore the incident as if it was none of his business. This business gives great service but terrible customer service. I came by this place on yelp and decided to give it a try since it was five minutes away from my house. I needed a mani and pedi and The price for that was $20 but for two dollars more you can get the spa Mani&pedi. Well I got the spa one and it was the best experience ever! She took her time with my pedicure and the massage chair was great. My toes looked brand new and refreshed when she was done. I have never had my feet look and feel so good! The manicure was pretty good too but im definitely going back for the pedi. I took my sister to get a manicure there and she said it was the best she's ever gotten (she has sensitive cuticles and always ends up with small cuts) and she told me that they didn't hurt her at all. We both loved it and we are definitely going back! The price for the manicure was $8 so it's definitely worth it. read more

Larry's Nails the best nail salon in Gardena. Larry has been a manicurist for many many many years. My first experience was with him at a different nail shop in Hawthorne/Gardena (El Segundo & Crenshaw). Sorry to say I didn't stay with him long due to a long distance move. When I did return, he was no longer working at that nail salon, sooo sad. Fortunately, our relationship was re-kindled when a really close friend of mine offered to take me to this new nail salon. She says "they really know how to do everything fills, new sets, pedicres, airbrush etc..everything is good", so I agreed. To my pleasant surprise it was LARRY :-) now married, with a child, I was soo happy to finally have him back in my life. A relationship at least 15 years in the making. His wife MiMi is EXCELLENT, she knows how to make your hands, feet, and eye brows look and feel wonderful. Ther is NO place like Larry's. I was introduced to Larry's shop on my first visit to California. I didn't know that nail shops out here are on every other corner and sometimes in the same complex. This shop consists of a husband and wife team with 2-3 more technicians. Whenever I would fly to the South Bay every other year, I would always stop here to get a pedicure. Larry (husband/owner) is great at nails, if the salon is full and he is the only one available to give you a pedicure...JUST SAY NO!! Please wait for the other ladies or just come back at another time. Don't get me wrong, he is great at what he does but he is just so aggressive when it comes to pedicures. Mimi (wife/owner) is great at nails (full sets/gels) and waxing. Rosie and the other lady (will update with proper name) are great at manicures and pedicures. I really like this place even though the wait can be unbearable and there is usually no cool air circulating (except for the few fans blowing). Well, I can say the shop lives up to the hype. I am so happy i didn't forget to give it a try. Larry is very nice and everyone seems like returning customers here. They seem to have a great relationships with the customer Rosie did my manicure and you don't have to tell her nothing all i can tell you is that there isn't any dry left cuticles and she doesn't hurt you either. Rose is very nice.... Julie did my pedicure and it was great too. She left no skin behind. My total cash price for gel manicure and regular pedicure $38 .00. First tip: this place only takes cash. I was a little thrown off by the location. My directions took me to the back parking lot but you can park on Van Ness . The back parking lot is plentiful but you might see some herds of men gathered outside (there's barbershop next door). So the place is not fancy at all. The staff is very nice, but I didn't like the way my manicurist took off my gel polish. I'm used to the foil, cotton, and nail polish remover. She tried to take off my gel dry. Anyways, the place looks a little dingy and so does the equipment. I want to come back but hoping they give this place a little face lift. The good news is that it's cheap, they do a really good job shaping and painting and I paid $28 for a gel take off, gel polish, and toe polish change (not bad at all!). I'm giving four stars because the owner ran out to my car when I forgot my phone inside- at least I know I can trust these small business owners. read more

Beware! This was my first (and last) time coming to this nail shop... I had chosen it because it had good reviews, but now I am not sure as to why. Mimi did a horrendous job on my spa manicure ($2 more than a regular manicure). She rushed through the entire process - left 2/3 of my cuticles on the nailbeds (even after asking her to go back and cut them down), then proceeded to slap some oil on my hands and call it a massage. Finally when it came time to put polish on, she went to put the color on first, with no base coat. I had to stop her and say "you're forgetting the base coat!" To which she responded, "Oh..." It was such a bad manicure, that I removed the polish before even leaving the shop. Even after explaining that I was not happy with the job done, they proceeded to charge me the full amount, and didn't even offer to fix it. I will NEVER return to this salon. read more
