Well, my experience happened about a while ago , but I've never posted about it and while I was searching for the number of my new sugarist I thought I would finally say something after all this time. There's a rule where you can only cancel one appointment without charge, and I used mine when I had to cancel after going to a park and my legs were eaten alive by mosquitoes. I couldn't get them waxed the next day , and cancelled. Months later, I had at least 3 services booked but I had to remove one because I was running late. I was told I can get the rest of the services but I will be charged a $25 no show fee as well, when I asked "omg are you serious" , Max sent me the calculations of the total amount of money she is losing as me as a client from the first time I cancelled and this service I'm removing, and then told me I am no longer welcomed. That was CRAZY. I have never been a bad client before, and she definitely treated me like she didn't care about me as a client or satisfaction and had this weird business ego. That was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a business, and even hesitated writing this review because I will get a passive aggressive response from her again. Oh well, I thought I'd say my piece. Also , I should mention, her partner was super nice. I can't remember her name. Great convos and made me feel welcomed. Best sugar waxed I ever had! I would highly recommend Max! She was very relatable and she made sure I was pleased with the amount she took off for a bikini wax. Other places I have went to take off a certain amount. Max makes sure that she takes off enough to wear you won't see the hair under the bikini. It was quite painful because I hadn't gotten waxed in a year, and it was my first time sugaring, But it was over quickly and the results are supposed to last longer than waxing and my skin wasn't irritated or red after which was very surprising! Ok I'm never going anywhere else! This way of doing it (sugaring instead of waxing) is way superior. It didn't hurt very much and was quick! Ive been coming to my girl Max to get my sugar for 2 years now and let me tell you, I am NEVER looking back lol. She is soo sweet and makes me feel so comfortable. Her prices are super affordable and she gets the job done super quick. My brazilians on average take about 15-20 mins at most, and i've noticed waxing with sugar instead of hard wax makes pain way more tolerable. I wouldn't trade her for for the world! However a few weeks ago I stumbled upon The Body Shop LA that happen to have excellent reviews on yelp. The next morning I am mediately booked my appointment. Not only was it affordable It's also in a great location with plenty of parking . Max my Sugaring technician was excellent!
