I'm going to go ahead and give them 5 stars today. Rose did my gel mani. I specifically wanted a Candy Apple red with a matte coat and she delivered. Shaped my natural nails nicely (before they got so long I looked like a werewolf with a grown out mani), polish application was pretty clean. But the 5 starts came in because I couldn't have been in there for more than 40 mins. I seriously think it was around 30 mins because LMAD was playing and didn't even finish lol. So this was one of the cleanest and quickest nail appointments I've had in years. And this includes gel removal. I'll definitely be back to see Rose in a couple of weeks! read more

Prices fluctuate with each visit for the exact same service. So VERIFY before sitting down. Gel needs to be added in 3 layers to get a solid color before the clear. I can say my nails never lift during the standard 2 weeks. Nail polish needs drying in between as well to get a solid color. Pedi's are basic & pretty quick, but gets the look u need until next service. Last visit I got 3 nails replaced, two nails acrylic overlay & the other 5 filled w/ gel. It was $40. This visit....just a fill & gel...$48. Doesn't make sense. This time 3 cuticles were cut from the electric filer..ouch. I paid & left. I never remember which lady does my nails when I come. I usually like this place but this time I went was not a good experience. The manager who is usually there, Dee was not there. And when he's not there there's a different vibe in the place. Everyone is more lackadaisical & non-chalant. The woman who did my manicure literally started rushing once other people came in, and left a few of my nails half polished, and I am not happy with the results. I could have done a better job myself. The one who did my pedicure kept tapping me instead of speaking to get my attention which I found weird! She also had an attitude when I asked her to put the fan on my toes so they could dry. I usually tip but today there was no reason! I doubt I will be back! read more

This place is decent but way too expensive for a gel pedicure. A regular pedicure is $20, but it's $32 for a gel pedicure even when you remove the previous gel yourself and bring your own polish like I did... dafuq? So I basically paid $12 to use your UV lamp. Hell, I paid less than that for my own lamp on wish.com. I doubt I'll go back there even though it's close to the house. My review is more towards the pedicures. I don't usually get my nails done although a few months back I did try out the what I believe was the Gel x. And I really loved them. Very light. Lasted 2 weeks. And just nice overall..but I do a lot with my hands so I don't see the point of paying to get them done when they can fall off any day. Anyway I do recommend that more than acrylic but I have no reviews on acrylic service here. Back to pedi. I've been coming here since they opened before covid. My last visit the lady was definitely rushing to where she didn't cut properly and 2 weeks later I had to cut a side of my toenail because I could feel some pain start. Unfortunately I hadn't been able to come in sooner because LIFE, but today I went and omg... I was just so thankful for her today. I needed some ME time and she took care of the only thing that I like to do for me. I didn't even have to ask. She just got to work and I am just so grateful that she was tech today. If you decide to try this place out the manager is very nice. He's really good as well.... but Jenny and THU are 2 people I highly recommend. I loooove coming here. It took me SO long to find a good nail shop. I've been coming here consistently for over a year & a half now. I go to Nancy and Rose. Nancy does my pedicures, she's SO good. She takes her time and her massages are amazing. They offer a jelly pedicure and nobody does it better than Nancy! Rose does my nails. She's a BEAST at shaping! I'm really particular about my stilettos and she gets them right every time. She doesn't really do designs but other people in the shop do. My favorite part about this shop is they offer a gel hybrid instead of acrylic. Same look as acrylic and holds up just as well but SO much healthier for your nails!! With acrylic I can only get 1-2 sets and then i have to take like a 4 month break because of how thin it makes my natural nails. With the gel hybrid i can get them consistently! It does still cause a little damage but nothing compared to acrylics. The shop is also very clean and they always have relaxing music playing. I absolutely love going to this Nail shop. They have wonderful services and give you complamentry drinks. Shelley does my pedicure and she is heavenly. Their jelly is great in the pedicure. Dee and Diane does my manicure and they are unexplainable. Dee does my nails quick, but careful. Diane also does my nails and pedi, but her designs are flawless. So are Dee's. Since this was my first time coming to the shop and a bit nervous. They made my experience 10/10 and comfortable. I am really happy with my results from the times I've been there. Some days are pretty packed, and sometimes there daughters come with them to work at the front and they are the best!! I recommend being there early or making an appointment on the phone. I've had acrylics done here before, but I didn't return because a couple of them fell off within days. They open at 8:30am while others open later and had a big day ahead of me. Started with a pedicure, then they sat me with Linda to do my acrylic. I wanted short nails with painted on French tip. Showed her a picture and she started. She slaps on the acrylic messily and reshapes with the drill. I tell her about reshaping because the tips were wide. She painted with clear pink and there was a big air bubble in the acrylic. I've never seen that happen. I asked if she could fix it. She replies with it was my nail. LOL wow. She painted the white tip and I just ask her to remove the polish and to just paint it one color. She informs me that I will still have to pay the French tip color price, I didn't care, just wanted these horrendous things covered. At this point it's 10:30am. I should've just gone to my usual place and I would've been out of there with good quality nails by 10:30am. I am going to visit my usual place later for them to redo these, to take care of that air bubble in the acrylic because I don't want bacteria to form... this is horrendous. read more

But this second time my nail technician was in such a rush she kept on grabbing her phone to text... she took of my gel nail polish with her tools instead of using nail remover. Okay, I've gone here a few times and never really had a big issue because ultimately you get what you pay for. They're horrible at shaping nails, 2 might be square, 2 might be stiletto and 1 might be ballerina... The customer service is awesome, they engage in conversations and even remember your name. If that were the end of my problems, I would've given them 3 stars. I wanted a fresh set, so I figured I'd soak the acrylics off as I have in the past ( from high end salons) with 100% acetone.i cut the nails down, filed them and began soaking them. To my horror, the nails turned into a gooey sticky nightmare. It was like melted gummy bears and I still couldn't get them removed. I went to an upscale nail bar to get some help and the technician told me that this was a result of them using MMA acrylic, which is illegal, as opposed to organic. I researched when I got home and was mortified by what I found. I urge anyone reading this to do your own research and ask questions before letting one of these discount nail salons endanger your health. I can't say with 100% certainty that they're using MMA but all indications point in that direction. read more

3.5 starts, but I went with the 4 over 3 because for the neighborhood it's really trying. I've been here twice now and there were both good and not so good parts to my experiences at H2O nails. Good:They give you complementary cookies and water- nice! Makes you feel like they're not trying to gyp you on everything like other places. Not so good: who wants to eat with all those chemicals in the air? Good: lots of new chairs and accommodations for many people Not so good: they took almost an hour to get to me on a busy Friday evening despite all the people working there. Good: my mani was super cute and the service very friendly! Not so good: my pedi needed another coat and when I asked the lady said it was the color but I suspect it was that she was eager to get to the next person who waiting for almost an hour as well. So I have come to this place 4 times now, each time giving them that good old one last chance because they are the new nail shop that opened up less than 5 minutes from my home. LOGISTICS: Before I discuss service let me just say that to no fault to them other than selection this is absolutely the worst place to put a nailshop. It shares maybe a 20 (maybe) spot parking lot with a 7-11, Boost Mobile I think, and a Little Cesar's Pizza which is a pick up only pizza spot. MIND YOU at least 2 of those are handicapped reserved and 4 7-11 reserved and then a number are compact spots (I drive a charger so I take up a compact space and a half) COST: NO COMPLAINTS HERE! GREAT PRICING. CUSTOMER SERVICE: THE NICEST PEOPLE YOU WILL MEET AT A NAILSHOP. The 2nd time I came here a young boy came in selling chocolates and they bought the whole box and then offered to the customers. EXPERTISE: Unfortunately, this is where they have lost me. With the exception of the first time I came here. The last 3 nail techs cut me atleast once, with the 3rd nail tech cutting me a whopping 3 times. This last time I only got cut once, not that that is acceptable, but they do not put any solution or anything to protect the cut. The other times it was all basic gel mani/pedis, but this time I had grown my natural nails out so that i could go back to my hybrid stiletto/almond shape. I did end up breaking one the week before so I asked for that one to get a tip with dip powder so my nail could grow out under it. The first red flag was the guy bringing my tech the dip powder box set and her pulling out the instructions to read them. We made it through that but even when she was trying to file the old polish down to soak the gel off she kept bumping the front of my nails and needed to slow down. She began to file my nails to the shape and I felt like I was in that comedy special about crooked nails....multiple nails were off center and crooked, Pointing to the right. I let her know and she tried to fix them but I gave up. I let her finish, paid (still tipped her) and left. I really wanted to fall in love with atleast 1 nail tech here. Unfortunately, this will not be the shop for me. read more
