Unfortunately, on my 2nd visit for waxing, the woman who did it was very rough, didn't stretch the skin at all, and went over some of the same areas with wax strips rather than tweezing or threading. She ended up peeling some of the skin by my lip (the darker/peeling spot pictured). Literally have been coming to this shop since about 2015/2016, and I instantly loved her work right away, she's my go to lady even when I'm out of town or traveling, I don't want anybody else touching my brows BUT Resham. If you come here, make sure you get the same person every time. Just now this lady made my eyebrows so THIN. Ugh! The last time I came the owner worked on my brows and said they were going to let the top grow out. So I made sure not to touch the top. Most of the time I come here and they do so good on my brows. I really wanted to like this place. I checked yelp for a well reviewed threading salon nearby and this is one of them. I walked in and was serviced right away. There was a lady (I'm guessing the owner) who evaluated my eyebrows. She was very detailed and consulted with me first. She was showing the technician what to do. It seems like it was this technician's interview of some sort. Every step the tech took she checked w the owner first. My eyebrows were perfect. I loved it. The tech would thread little by little and would check w the owner and repeated this process at least 3 times. Each time the owner found a few brow hairs that needed to get threaded. They even measured my brows. During the consultation she clarified that my eyebrows have grown so much that it's uneven. I knew it and agreed. The owner guided the tech every step of the way. I liked the service so I decided to get my upper lip done too. Well, I'm not sure what the tech did but I can tell you how it felt. It felt like she pressed too much into my skin, but the thread landed right on the very top of my lips- where you would draw the lip liner and it hurt like hell. I knew the pain wasn't the normal pain. I let her finish. At the end, she quickly wanted to apply aloe vera gel so I stopped her because I had a feeling it would sting. I asked for a mirror instead. As she was grabbing the mirror I dabbed my upper lip and IT WAS BLEEDING. She cut my lip. It bled a lot. The owner offered to give me alcohol which I applied. I couldn't believe what just happened?!? The owner saw and asked her what happened she said it's coz I moved. what???? A part of me was like -DID YOU REALLY JUST CUT ME? And lied about it? Nope. Not coming back. I paid without tip. All done quietly. I didn't fuss or ask for it to be free. I just left. read more

Great prices, however, I have left after full leg and underarm waxing with welts on me in at least one place every time. They rarely hold the skin taut before ripping the linen with wax off my skin. Today was a bit better. One of the women said that I have loose skin and showed the other woman that they have to hold the skin tight so it won't hurt me so much. I don't understand why they don't just always do that for everybody. When I was a teenager and waxed my own legs, that was a basic instruction on the side of the box. I feel upset because I feel that the welt looks unattractive, and I'm going to see my bf tomorrow for the first time in nine months bc he's been working out of town. Not the look I was going for. Don't understand why my skin is severely red/welted in some spots. They are very nice and thorough, and I now wonder if by telling the person waxing me to please hold the skin tight 100% of the time, this will prevent the spot(s) of severe redness / welt(s) that I get every time. It's not like I'm covered in welts, but it seems like there's always one or two each time. They take 1-3 days to heal, but it's tolerable. They're so kind there and have such great prices that I want this to work. I do now know to ask for Stephanie. I had rated five stars but removed one for the consistent welts. I included photos in this review, and I'm wondering if some of them are because the wax was too hot. I saw that the wax warmers were on 60-65, so next time I'll ask them to put it on 55-60 I will go back and ask the owner to please tell the ladies who work on me to always pull the skin tight every time for me and see how that goes. I do feel very much that they care for their clients, have a great work ethic, and sincerely want to do the best job they can. Maybe it's just me. I do have very fair skin. Maybe my skin is more sensitive than other people's. I will call the owner and discuss it with her before I go next time. I do feel that she really cares and wants her employees to do an excellent job. I will definitely go back at least one more time. read more

I've been coming to this place since I moved to California. I never got any problem, they actually always were very nice, and the girls used to do their job super quick and nice. Unfortunately that was not the case yesterday. The girls offered to clean my nose and I wanted to clean my upper lip too so I said yes. She actually was very rude while she was waxing my upper lip and when she started cleaning my nose I knew something was wrong because it hurt so much. Well, she took pieces of my skin off, they owner didn't charged me, but I am very very upset for what happened. ITS MY FACE, I don't even know if this will leave a scar on my face and I am Very nervous. So please everybody be careful. This is serious. Now I am waiting to see if my face is going to heal well. They actually take the time to measure your eyebrows and work with great detail to ensure that they are shiny and shaped. The people I usually see are Divia and Stephanie, both are really gentle and good at what they do and they always double check to make sure everything is perfect before letting you go. They also have stamp cards which give you a free threading after 10 uses. They offer other services as well such as upper lip threading, hemp tattoos and body waxing and all are very affordable. I have been coming to this place on and off for years! Literally about 6 years now. Unfortunately today is the end of my loyal business to this establishment. I walked in around 1 pm and was greeted by the owner. There were 2 threaders and I was the 3rd person waiting. I usually wait for Resham but she wasn't here today so I got Stephanie. I asked for a brow cleanup (since I got them shaped 2 weeks ago from Ziba) and lip wax. I expressed to Stephanie to not shape or arch my brows because I liked my shape. Holy hot hell.. by the time I was done I felt something was off with my brows. She was threading for way too long up there for a "cleaning". When she hands me the mirror my heart sank to my ass... I wanted to cry. I was furious. I raised my voice a bit & asked her why she touched the top of my brow and she looked at me like I was crazy. I told her just a cleaning & I left looking like a hot ass mess. I expressed my concern to the manager and she tried to turn it on me and say "well you know you don't have much hair on that eyebrow". GIRL I know !!!!! & any hair I did have there is GONE !! I'll just show you guys a photo of the shit work they did on me.. y'all be the judge. If you're looking for quality, this ain't it ladies. This place closed for remodeling. They are now reopened, and they look better than ever! They take your temperature at the door, make sure you're masked. You wrings you're name and your preferred service and your # so that you may wait in your car. Once you are called in, all the ladies are gloves and masked. No one is using any strings in their mouth. Stephanie has been my go-to, and she always advises with Razia, the owner. I am always pleased with their work. I believe it's about 8$ now. I still try to tip $5, even back when they only charged 5$, because the girls (Mita, Raheema, and Stephanie) always do such a great job and they take their time. My boyfriend also comes in for his eyebrows and his also come out great all the time (I'm not sure the ladies' names). Overall, the new remodel was so amazing! I came to the threading zone today with uneasy thoughts because it was my first tome trying this place and im sure every woman or man who gets their brows done is hesitant on trying a new establishment but let me tell you they did not disappoint!!! My threading tech was very skilled and gentle handed and listened to me when I told her I only wanted a clean up, once she finished the manager came over to inspect her work and have her make any corrections if needed.
