We got 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 Hawaiian with the cinnamon on top- pizza was really good!! We also got garlic bread, which was honestly so so good! Pizza was ready in 10-15 mins on a busy Friday night so very reasonable wait time. Interior has the checkered floors but looks like it has been updated (looks more updated than some of the other reviews). Lots of seating and good ambiance. I have driven through Mount Sterling many times. Always wanted to try Larry's Pizza. Got one tonight. If I could rate them a ZERO I would. Hope I make it to morning without a stomachache & a trip to the hospital! Worst pizza I have had in YEARS!!! I know pizza, I worked at 3 pizza places making pizzas. This pizza had a doughy undercooked crust. No taste to the sauce. I tried to jazz it up with pizza seasoning & parmesan cheese. NO DICE! Tried baking it for 1/2 an hour. Choked down some of it as I had not eaten all day. Now my stomach hurts. There is most of it left. Guess I'll take it down to the wetlands & give it to the raccoons & opossums. Wait! Better not! Unfortunately this was a poor experience. While at Deer Creek State Park, we needed to order some take out for the family because a storm blew through and ruined the cookout chances. It's important to note that because I assume they may have been overwhelmed with calls. Ordered a couple of pizzas and two dozen wings. Over $50 but it's a lot of food. Was told it would be an hour for delivery. Called to check on order after an hour to make sure I wasn't suppose you meet at Lodge and was told it was on the way with driver and coming to cabin. Called at 90 minutes and was told the food was held waiting for a driver. Requested to make sure food was warm. Called back at 2 hours. Was told food was on it's way; for real this time. Assured it would be warm. Food eventually arrived after two hours. Driver was very nice and apologetic. Food was room temperature. Driver apologized, said there were call offs, and acknowledged the food was not warm. He suggested I call the manager. Called when the family got ready to eat. Person indicated two women went home sick so that was delay. Expressed concern if it was ok to eat the food but woman say it was non COVID, just overheated. They offered to resend pizza but that was not an option for the family as it approached 8:30 and couldn't risk another two hours. Left my name and number but no response. Pizza was hard, cool, and dried out. It may have been good warm so not sure that's a fair assessment. Small square cut. Parmesan garlic wings were cold but great flavor. Buffalo wings didn't have sauce, maybe a dry rub? Cold, no flavor, and dry. Most of this ended in the trash. I would not recommend this place for anyone camping at the park. A lively little local hole in the wall (literally there was a hole in one of the walls) pizza place in Mt. Sterling. The joint had a steady stream of customers the entire time we were there. The pizza is thin crust and a bit greasy but good. Their garlic cheese bread is tasty. Their wings are messy and delicious. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. Larry's offers a juke box, racing game, shooting game, and claw machine. They have a single tv that was playing a basketball game. The staff is friendly. They have plenty of seats to eat inside the restaurant however I noticed a lot of people took their pizzas to go. Larry's is a fun typical small town pizza place. We usually love Larry's but today was a disappointment. We always get veggie subs with no cheese and they are always loaded and perfect with Italian dressing but tonight they lacked! The subs had only onion, green and yellow peppers, olive and mushroom. If they had dressing I didn't taste it. Where were the tomatoes and lettuce?! Thats what makes the sub great! While staying at the local lodge we decided to take a night and eat locally. Larry's came up and looked the the kind of small town pizza shop we were looking for. We arrived and found it to be a very welcoming place and was filled to near capacity. We were immediately greeted from the kitchen by a very friendly staff of people. We ended up having a pizza, salad and a couple of beers. Great experience. The pizza was delicious, thin crust, quality ingredients in the cheese and pepperoni. Just enough oil on the top... It wasn't my beloved east coast pizza but it was just as tasty. If we ever come back through the area, we will surely visit Larry's again. read more

I drove 40 minutes with a family member to try out the pizza we had heard such good things about. We kept saying, "this better be worth it." It absolutely was. The pizza was delicious and the atmosphere was a brilliant escape from the busyness and frequent pretense of Columbus. It became quickly evident by the line of patrons and the friendly banter around the room that this place is a local 'home' spot. What?! I know I have the right place here, but based on the reviews everyone else left, it seems like we visited different establishments. First off, I will start with the good, which is that Larry's is this amazing little small-town gathering spot full of people of all ages who all appear to know each other. It's definitely an awesome people-watching opportunity. But the pizza, which I thought was reasonably priced, was terrible! I mean, I ate it, so I guess it was at least good enough to chew and swallow. But the taste of the sauce reminded me of those little individual frozen pizzas you get in huge boxes at Sam's club that have little cubes of pepperoni. I've had pizza from Larry's since before I can remember! This place is absolutey awesome, and it is my favorite pizza! It may seem a tad pricey, a little bit on the Donatos side, but it is totally worth it and the best pizza you'll find. The service is pretty quick, even on the busy nights, and the staff is pretty friendly as well. They have a few pinball machines and a HUGE Tv, too! Absolute garbage. If you took a cold lunchables pizza that they give to kids and microwaved it then you would have Larry's pizza. They buy Kroger brand cheese sticks and sell them for a dollar apiece. They don't wear gloves when the handle the food. They aren't friendly at all. This place is FAN-Freaking-Tastic. I was at the Deer Creek resort for a retreat. I was feeling really hungry. Well I ask the front counter there if there was a place that was open really late that would deliver. They told me about this place. I asked the lady if this place was really good or not? and she told me it was the best pizza that she had... Well I must say this pizza did not disappoint. Oh my goodness. I had the pepperoni extra large and almost ate the whole thing by myself. First things first Larry's is thin crust pizza with a lot of grease. If you don't like greasy thin crust pizza don't leave a review complaining that the crust was too thin and it was too greasy. That being said, Larry's is by far my favorite pizza and trust me I have had lots of pizza in my day. Yes you will get the occasional burnt pizza but if you want a factory made clone pizza every time then go to a chain restaurant and be bored for the rest of your life. Okay, I love mom 'n pop pizza joints but the small town pizza joints always make me leary. From the outside, I expected Larry's to be a bar on the inside. NOPE! Very good sized FAMILY oriented casual restaurant. Either they didn't have air conditioning or it is too small for the place or on the fritz, but they had ceiling fans on everywhere and it was VERY comfortable in there, even in this heat, and BELIEVE ME, I am ALWAYS complaining about being hot ... so if I say it was comfortable, it really was! Their pizza was very good and the wings, although I'm not a "wet" wing fan (I liked the way Outback's wings used to be, dry-rubbed) the wings were very good too. Also, when we ordered beers, the gal behind the counter asked us if we wanted to start a "tab" which I thought was a very nice touch! For the most part Larry's makes an excellent pizza. It reminds me of the pizza we ate growing up. A very thin crust cut into squares and dripping with greasy melted cheese. On the down side I have found that the quality is inconsistent. I always order extra sauce and cheese. There have been many times when this was omitted or the sauce was so thickly applied that it would ooze out making a big mess. Sometimes it's on the burnt side and other times a bit under done. I just ordered from Larrys Pizza and I've honestly never had such a rude phone call before.. I called and ordered, everything was fine until I told her my last name. Now I know this is a small town but please do not treat me like crap over the phone just because I have the same last name as someone you know. I was interrupted multiple times while ordering. When I asked for 12 wings, half bbq and half hot, they told me they couldn't do that and they had to give me plain wings with sauce. I wouldn't normally whine about something so simple, but I had just ordered food to eat there a couple weeks ago and they had no issue. I told the rude woman on the phone it was ridiculous, and then asked her to hold on so I could ask the other people ordering food if the plain wings would be okay.. The rude woman on the phone yelled "she said that's ridiculous! You talk to her!" And handed the phone to her manager. I told the manager I didn't have an issue with the wings. In the middle of her ringing up my order to tell me my total I could overhear teenagers in the background saying things like "I know her" "oh my god have you heard about her?!" With lots of giggles. Terrible effort. Was once a quality product. Last several Times that I ordered from there the food has been very poor quality, and effort. I used to order very regularly but because of the decline in the food I only order very occasionally. My other big problem is if there's a problem with your order, they tell you they would like you to drive the food back into their shop before they will replace it for you even though you paid a delivery charge. That is a very Mickey Mouse Way to do business. Especially if someone has ordered from you many times and never really complained or ask for a refund. Even though I may spend $40 on my order the only thing they're willing to do is give you a two dollar credit if you don't feel like driving the poor quality pizza back into the shop after you've had it delivered. The food seems to be getting progressively worse, I'm not sure if there is a new management but that seems to be the case. The last pizza I ordered was undercooked and had the smallest amount of pepperoni you could possibly imagine. I didn't even bother to complain this time because I only end up angry when they tell me I need to bring it into their shop for replacement or else. Also, another touch of class that they do is give you packets of shrimp cocktail sauce for anything you order from the sides menu as in jalapeño poppers, mozzarella sticks, or just about anything.
