He was incredibly friendly and assured that he fully understood my ask. The quote was more than fair (in comparison to others) and he's local (always support local!). Even after I agreed, he took the time to explain more about the products, showcasing his knowledge. I respectfully had to cut him off and say, "You already had me hooked five minutes ago, brotha!" Then we set up an appointment and I confirmed by text. Me, being a horrible customer, of course, didn't read the text which blatantly stated the Rocklin location (totally my fault) and I showed up in Rancho Cordova. I walked in on the crew, interrupted their lunch (because I'm a dummy), and asked for Chris. It's a family business and his father, T, said that I was in the wrong spot. However, T took the time to discuss what Chris and I did and he said, "Sure! No problem!" When I asked for their next available appointment he said he could do it right then. I told them to please not rush their meal time, but T and his crew were more than accommodating. I called Chris to let him know the situation and he and T assured they were on the same page. Installation: It took less than two hours. I showed up at my 4:30 'appointment,' went through the rigmorale that I created, and my car was ready by 6:30. My car is a beaut! I usually use Groupon to find great service providers and then stick with them for years. Chris's AI agent answered, took all my info, told me he'd call me back. Then his automated text messages kicked in, asking me all the same questions, telling me he'd call me. He didn't. He asked for some pictures of the car, and I sent some, then asked clarifying questions: should I remove the seat covers and weatherproof mats? No answer. I followed up 2 days in a row asking if he needed anything else with no responses, then Sunday night at almost 10pm he finally texted back and sent an "estimate" for an additional $150!! The car is not "excessively dirty", just a regular amount of use - some normal things like leaves on the floor, etc. I'll include pictures so readers can judge for themselves whether doubling the price of the groupon is warranted, since owners like this tend to be a bit sketchy. I'm bummed to have to cancel this groupon, but based on the lack of timely response, and ridiculous attempt to use Groupon as a scam, I can't move forward in good conscience.
