Would not recommend getting a piercing here. The piercer kept calling me "love" and was overall uncomfortable. There were no jewelry options and he had everything opened prior to me entering the room. He marked me and then proceeded to not pierce the approved marks and my piercing was crooked. It was a red flag when they had me pay before my piercing was done. I had to take my piercing out because it was unbelievably crooked. read more

I highly don't recommend. Chris did my tongue piercing and did not have me wash my mouth before piercing. Also he used the wrong gauge size and the wrong type of piercing bar, the bar was way to small and my tongue didn't have room to swell. Third experience here and I will NEVER come back. You shouldn't either!! When you come in - the gal at the front (Nikki) will ask you what you want, you send her the picture, describe what you want and she talks to the artist for you. Okay, whatever. First experience was fine - got my walk-in tattoo (simple quote) and was on my way and some friend got their walk-in tats too. Second time I came with some friends and watched them get some some simple walk-in tats. I watched one get a quote that was miss-spaced and crooked. She's now stuck with miss-spaced letters for life. Yicks - but she loved it so why ruin the moment. Anyway - made myself a tattoo appointment with Brian, provided photos, spoke with the artist in detail about what I wanted and he argued with me that "it's my art that has to walk around and if it'll look bad in 10 years I won't do it." Sir... it's my body. I'm telling you what I'm paying you to create on MY body that I have to live with every day. My request wasn't hard - it was pretty dang simple. Now that we got that out of the way, my appointment is set, sweet. I arrive for the day/time of my appointment ON. TIME. What is my artist doing? Taking an entire three group walk-in group. I'm assured it'll be "just a few minutes." I wait AN HOUR AND A HALF past my scheduled time. It's well past dinner time and I'm gettin pretty hangry having to sit around and not be given a time frame so I can run errands or you know - anything besides sit and do nothing. The artist comes up to me after some bugging from the receptionist gal. Artist sits next to me with the photos I provided the week prior. He HASN'T EVEN DRAWN UP A SKETCH. I go over what I want AGAIN. Yes, I made an appointment a week in advance and this artist hasn't even drawn up an idea. I have NEVER had an experience like this with ANY artist. He continues to argue with me about my idea and what HIS vision is for the tattoo. He argues with me about needle size. Well, sir, this is my fourth tattoo and I'm well aware of how small you can make lines and still have them last. I sit - hungry, annoyed and absolutely LIVID for the sole stubborn purpose of seeing what this guy is going to attempt to draw up in 30 minutes. If you are tracking we are now TWO hours last my SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT. Three groups of people have literally had their walk-in tats and left at this point. Now I don't know who Brian thinks he is or why he thinks he can waste people's time. If you are worried about no-shows then take a deposit. I take the artwork I put on my body seriously and so should you. You single handedly took more time out of my day to sit and wait on YOU than it would have taken you to have the decency to call, text, give me a heads up you were worried about me coming or at least sketched a drawing. Your time isn't worth more than mine and I shouldn't be sitting around waiting for something you had a week to do. I got the inkling that Brian prefers to make his money off random walkins... sure, it's cheap quick money to trace something someone found on the interwebs. I digress.... While Nikki tells people, "Brian and Rich are good. We don't just want your money, we want you to come back." My experiences really say otherwise. So... you want to know how this ends? He brings me some half ass drawing that I'm certain I drew better than in the THIRD GRADE. Like complete ZERO effort. Zero attempt to draw it to my vision. It looked like some half ass attempt to trace. I let him know how it's not at all what I wanted.He says (huffing), "It's not that I can't do it, it's that I don't want to." You you kidding me?! You are an artist. I give you an idea and you bring it to life. Your job as an artist isn't to just trace and give up. You've disgraced yourself and your shop. You've wasted my time inside of telling me a week ago you didn't want to do it. You didn't agree with a really simple job that if you did right would've come with a generous tip. Instead of being honest, you pull the lazy card. I ended up wasting two and a half hours of MY day on someone who clearly from the beginning was not interested in my business. You have single handedly lost the business of three regulars in Killeen, I will tell every person I know in Killeen and I hope this review loses more. If you ever want to point out a good artist - they are willing to have drawing sessions with you and on their own time, take deposits for their time slots, communicate regularly, offer touch ups 2 weeks past first ink to check their art and make sure YOU are happy. That IS NOT the experience from this shop. read more

Chris did my friends tongue piercing and it was terrible! , For one when he pierced it he didn't bother to mark it , didn't both to do a wash like real professionals do it , he looked at it and stuck it right thru her damn tongue like nothing . Not only did he fvxk her up but he ended up sticking the needle thru her LIP & she was bleeding like crazy!!! My friend knew from the second he put in the bar that it was too small for her tongue & not only did he pierce it wrong & so carelessly he pierced her tongue WAY FAR BACK ... There was no room for swelling at all we tried to give it the benefit of the doubt & look past the bs. Fast forward to day 3 since the piercing it did not get better at all . Usually by the third day it gets more tolerable but when I saw her tongue the bar was sinking into her tongue due to the bar being too small , so we tried to go back & see him to get it taken out because she woke up & her tongue was bleeding & her tongue was going numb . RED FLAGGGGGGGG!!! We went to the shop & called him 3 times no answer , saw him in the parking lot & when he saw us he left . Literally the worst experience for her ever . We had to take her to another shop that was beyond helpful & literally told us that it was not only pierced wrong but also too far back . It took us 20 min to get the piercing out of her . She felt like she was going to pass out ... if you go there & since he's the only piercer their supposedly "professional" save yourself & get something simple , like your nose but even then I wouldn't trust it . January - My boyfriend and I came here on our first date to get tattooed. We got some pretty random pieces but they were more than willing to accommodate us and work with us. Our artist was fast and on point. My boyfriend has been there a couple times to get one tattoo "fixed" and got another recently. Place is clean and the people are friendly. I will be going back when I am in the area. I recommend coming here to anyone who is in the area and looking for an awesome tattoo done by a talented artist! EDIT: I've been back since (March) and got a piece on my ribs started by Germ and oh my god, I didn't think it would hurt as bad as it did. I didn't get it colored in, just outline and I was borderline having an anxiety attack. I was so embarrassed hahahaha, god. But Germ was super sweet and kept telling me it was okay when all I wanted to do was roll over and die at how embarrassed I was. He was fast though and did such a good job, I will be back to get it finished and hoping to start a sleeve soon! I'm looking forward to getting more work done with Germ. Good guy! Funny and personable. My boyfriend got a chest piece started by Justin. He has yet to make another appointment to start filling it in but so far, it looks awesome. Justin is a good guy! I called to speak to the manager of the shop, and the receptionist was polite and explained that the management would not be back until Wednesday. I explained the situation and the receptionist took my contact information. The owner of Larudes Tattoos called me back the same day, and was polite as I explained the situation. She stated that her husband Rudy would personally take the time to ensure my husband had the tattoo that he had hoped for. Ive been here 3 times, first to get a double nostril piercing, which was great. Piercer is very chill and friendly. He was also very clean. 2nd time was for a quick tattoo. Just linework for a symbol, which Matt did for me. My sister-in-law got a tattoo as well and we both agreed Matt was the best tattooer either of us have experienced. Great personality and patient. This last time though, i called ahead to see if they'd take me as a walk-in. I went in and told the receptionist what i wanted: some script on my arm and some filler on my other arm. As soon as we walked in we were greeted very politely. We received all info up front. The place was very inviting. Chris did 4 piercings for us. I was recommended to LaRude's by so many people in my company. My friends not only had great work already done by them, but they always held them in such high regard. I decided to give them a try and see how they were. My first time there I was very welcomed by everyone at LaRude's. Everyone in there is very customer oriented and just down to earth. I didn't have an appointment when I walked in and I was lucky enough to sneak in a tattoo since they had some time. I got tattooed by Rudy who is one of the coolest dudes you will ever meet. Rudy has some of the wildest stories ever and he is just a really great guy. Him and his wife really run a classy show there and are just all around great people. They really care for their customers and it shows. In regards to their work, well let me explain it the easiest way. I went in there the first time and got one tattoo. I have since been back about 7-8 times to get work done by Rudy and I have recommended at least 35-40 people to them. I get asked all the time where I get my work done and I always make it a point to stress how great LaRude's is. Great artwork, great inks and also great at free hand drawing. Honestly I really can't say enough about them. You won't be disappointed if you go there. In terms of artists, I can personally speak for how good Rudy is, but I have friends who have used Germ and also Matt. Both have really creative and amazing work. Everyone is completely down to earth and personable and the pricing, along with the work, is amazing compared to any where else! I recently returned to get a half sleeve done by Rich and let me tell you, this place just does not have one bad thing about it!
