Realistic American Flag created by tattoo artist David Jesse Rios at Tiki Tattoos
    Jim S.

David Jesse Rios is an awesome artist, very detail oriented. Created an awesome work of art from the idea I provided. With just a simple photo he created a one of a kind realistic tattoo. All around awesome experience.

There are a whole bunch of private rooms so that's pretty cool. They weren't huge rooms, but I like the privacy offered. The equipment used is all new looking and the artists practice safe hygiene while working on your art. Looking forward to when my artist moves down and hopefully becomes a regular at this location. It's a nice place and if you are feeling pained after, there's a Dairy Queen across the street for when you're all done! :) Amy will make sure to send you appointment reminders and will even check in on you a day or two after to make sure everything with your new tattoo is going okay. Now that's service!

Having previously worked with a client who had one of Amy's gorgeous pieces, I also knew exactly who I wanted to create this masterpiece for me. Initially, we were planning for an under the bust piece to help me feel more comfortable about surgery scars from my reduction, but as I've grown more comfortable with those, Amy had no issue with transitioning to the piece I've actually wanted for years. Not only was she okay with it, she was excited for it! Precisely Veiled is a shop that invests a lot of time, energy, and compassion into their guests. The only time to actually schedule an appointment is on the first Wednesday of every month during their Consultation Day. They do it this way so that they can dedicate every other day to creating beautiful art for people. If you're unable to physically make it in, you can always call and discuss your idea with one of the artists to book your initial session that way. If you are able to make it in, they always have a variety of food catered in. When I initially scheduled my appointment, I did so over the phone with Amy and we'd communicated via text. This worked well, but I found that I preferred actually being able to chat in person which I did when we transitioned the tattoo. I came with photos of the painting I loved as well as several under the water scenes. Amy had me create a Pinterest board to put anything and everything that inspired me for this tattoo and share it with her. Very easy to do! Unfortunately due to my work schedule constantly shifting (it's less turbulent now!), we did have to reschedule once or twice, but Amy was incredibly understanding and managed to squeeze me in when someone else cancelled...lucky me! Communication was very clear and she confirmed, reconfirmed, and reminded me of the appointment several times over so I had no possibility of mixing up the day or time or forgetting altogether (not that I ever could!) On the day of the appointment, I arrived about 10 minutes early and signed the waiver. We prepped the space and she started on the middle section of the tattoo (which will run alone my right side from ribs to thigh.) When I wasn't entirely in love with the initial placement of the seashell, Amy was more than happy to reposition it and the location is absolutely perfect! Starting at the hip was a great place to start because now we can switch between location in my other appointments. It's only been a few days, but I already love what this section of the tattoo looks like and I can't wait to see the finished result (although it will definitely take a while because it is so big!) As far as the pain, it wasn't unbearable and currently feels a bit like a sunburn where your skin is slightly sore and stinging.. absolutely manageable pain! I was also sent home with ArmorGel and print out aftercare instructions. I won't share any photos just yet of the tattoo or the full design we're going with, but I can't recommend this location enough or Amy as an artist! It is very clean, the artists are fiercely passionate not only about their craft but also about their clients, and the work they do is evidence enough of their dedication! Thank you!

We had called another place prior to coming to Familia Ink, it was not the most pleasant experience whatsoever and will not be going back there. Moved here from Vegas, so we searched and searched for a Veteran Owned establishment and came across Familia. My Daughter was so nervous about coming in and talking to someone. Lady at front desk was very pleasant to us upon arrival. Then asked what we were looking for, my daughter explained it to her, then she proceeded to go ask a gentleman named Stax. Lady actually took us back to where Stax was working and he was so Amazing and kind to her, took time from what he was doing to speak to her and asked my daughter questions about what she would like. Stax made it so comfortable and easy. Like we were family. This is EXACTLY what we were looking for in a business and for that we will be booking our appointments with Stax! This made me feel better, because no sooner than we got there, my daughter wanted to leave, just because of the experience we encountered yesterday at a different establishment. Thank You Stax!

I had two tattoos done (one cover up and one new) by Phest, and he did an OUTSTANDING job. I wouldn't go elsewhere. The guys are great, their work is awesome, and the shop is clean - no flash art! They love customs and aren't looking to make a quick buck off of drunk 18 year old Privates coming home from the club...which I really appreciate as a NCO who's seen way too many drunken and regrettable tattoos. If you're looking for a custom tattoo, I'd recommend going here because they guys love what they do, and it shows. Although I only have experience with Phest, I have seen the other artist (Bones) in action and he does exceptionally good work as well. They work together like family, and are very easy to talk to about ideas you have for your tattoo. If you're looking for custom work, this is the place to go. The one downside is that they do not have a sign that's visible off of Rancier, so it's a little hard to find at first (which is the only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars). It's right next door to Cat Customs (for cars) and Koreana Korean BBQ. Go check them out! You'll be glad you did. They really are a "cool azz tattoo studio".
