Salsa, curtido, pupusas revuelta & queso con loroco

So glad this place is here. Pupusas, curtido and salsa were delicious, and flavors spot on reminiscent of home in El Salvador. It's a to go food truck, with great & friendly service. Easily accessible off of Redwood Hwy. near Trader Joe's Larkspur-plenty of parking and reasonable competitive prices. Go enjoy the National food of El Salvador, show them some love & keep them in Marin for a long time.

Delicious pupusas! Quick, clean, and very friendly. We stopped for a quick bite and this was the perfect spot.

The outside was grilled to perfection--well done... *not* undercooked like some pupuserias. Lively Latin music played at a nice volume where you can talk with your companions. Merengue and more. You give your order and are given a number. You pick your own seat. Signs are bilingual--mostly Latin patrons, which is my usual litmus test that usually means the food has authentic flavor, which I love and look for from ethnic dining experiences. It's very clean and looks freshly painted. I was here just before noon and there was a steady stream of patrons.

The lady at the front told me 5more minutes for my order, I waited 10mins and nothing. When I went to ask again she told me my order had just come through their system? Make that make sense! And on top of that there were other orders just sitting on the counter getting cold and the lady at the front cares more about peeling mangos with her back to the front door then handing out the orders to the customers that are waiting! The manager talk to me and was able to get me my order but guess what? They gave me the wrong order. We tried the pupusas we were given, they were dry and barely any filling inside. So not even the food is good. Bad customer service which is very sad because i drove from Santa Rosa to give this location a try. Will not be coming back.

Sol Food of Puerto Rican flavors done right!…read more You can dine in or order for pickup through the outside window. This place always seems to have a line, but don't let that scare you away. They move quickly, and the food is absolutely worth the wait. The decor inside really makes you feel like you've stepped into Puerto Rico. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming. You order at the counter and seating is open, so you may end up sharing a table with other guests. Honestly, that's part of the fun and adds to the community vibe of the restaurant. The service here is outstanding. Good food and fast service, what more can you ask for? My favorite dish is the Guiso de Coco con Camarones (spicy coconut stew with prawns, rice, plantains, and fresh cilantro). 6/5! Yes, it's that good. The flavors are bold, rich, and incredibly comforting. I order it every chance I get. We also had the Pollo Rostizado, and it was delicious. You can order a half or whole chicken, and it comes with rice, salad, and plantains. You get a choice between pink beans or black beans. I'm usually not a huge bean fan, but their black beans are so good that I found myself going back for more. For the plantains, you can choose between garlic plantains or sweet plantains. Trust me and go with the sweet plantains. It really makes a difference and pairs perfectly with the meal. And whatever you do, save room for dessert. The Pudín de Piña (pineapple bread pudding) is an absolute must. 5/5. It's sweet, comforting, and the perfect way to end the meal. I can never get enough of it. This is one of those places that keeps me coming back. Great food, great service, and great vibes every time.

I hadn't been here before, but the reviews convinced me to give it a try…read more Parking was easy since there was plenty of street parking right in front. I came around 4:30pm, and the restaurant was empty, so we were seated immediately. Service was quick and efficient. I did hear a lot of the loud conversation between the two girls at the register about Instagram and TikTok.... I ordered the super burrito, which was nicely toasted, but overall it was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it didn't stand out either. There was no real spice or bold flavor, and I couldn't quite figure out what it was missing. The horchata was pretty basic. It tasted more like plain milk with cinnamon sprinkled on top rather than the richer, more flavorful horchata you'd expect. I also tried the Baja fish tacos, which were disappointing. The fish wasn't crispy enough and lacked flavor. The tortilla was easily breaking apart. It's like they took the tortilla straight out of the bag because it was cold and didn't look cooked. It came with tortilla chips that were over-fried and borderline burnt, though I wasn't sure if that was intentional. Another reason this ended up being a lower rating for me is the owner's response to feedback. As you can see in other reviews, Tommy tends to get very defensive when customers leave criticism, which I found pretty unprofessional. After I posted my review, he actually messaged me directly (see screenshot), which was honestly off-putting. Yelp is meant to be a space for customers to share their honest experiences, whether positive or negative, and responding in that way doesn't reflect well on the business. I also live in San Francisco, where there's no shortage of authentic and high-quality Mexican food, so I stand by my opinion. Being told my palate isn't "on point" felt dismissive rather than constructive. If anything, I'd just caution others that if you leave feedback here, be prepared for a defensive response from ownership, which may impact your overall experience beyond just the food. Overall, I was surprised given the strong reviews. The meal felt pretty bland across the board, and unfortunately it didn't live up to the hype. Also the owner's attitude doesn't deserve any business. After the owners negative and defensive responses, I know I won't come back.
