Went in for first time today. Ordered asada taco salad. The girl who took my order was welcoming and friendly!! The food was delicious! Will definitely go back and try all the other dishes!

First time eating here and most likely my last. I came here because my girlfriend likes their Milanesas which by the way was okay, yeah just okay! I ordered the Molcajete, since the second it got to my table i had a feeling it wasn't going to be good. And it really wasn't. I don't like to sound picky or anything but no Molcajete EVER has mushrooms in it, EVER!! so i went to the ingredients on the menu and it doesn't say it comes with mushrooms! luckily im not allergic to them like i was before but thats a No for me! Almost everywhere else i get Molcajetes from NEVER have the food chopped into pieces, it always has the big pieces of steak and chicken. Also most Molcajetes if not all are done in red salsa and not in green, at least from all the time i had them In Guadalajara, Jalisco!

Friendly, clean, authentic, great salsa variety, sweet mole, indoor seating or nice outdoor bench or table seating; tough competition around here for good Mexican food as there are quite a few options. Los Palillos by far has the salsa bars beat, there are 6 compketely different kinds and they are all good and many heat variations. The prices are on par with most of the local Taqueria's and the food is too. Probably the most similar to Mi Familia. Los Palillos seems, so far, to be an undiscovered gem of a Taqueria. So there's no long line to worry about or lack of a place to sit. I will be coming back to try more of the menu. I had the mole burrito $8 with grilled chicken, no rice and pinto beans. The serving size was large and the mole was sweet. The chicken was marinated and grilled and quite good. The mole burrito also includes guacamole and sour cream inside, fyi. YOU MUST try ALL of the salsas at the salsa bar... except maybe the habanero one... unless you know you can handle it. They are all unique and delicious!

The food is excellent, and the vibe is fun! It's a great menu too. I had the fish tacos and now I'm definitely going back.

We had a reservation for Father's Day and waited about 10 minutes for a table to open, as it was the busiest I have seen. The table was nice, big enough for the five of us, and the ambiance is always great here as well. We were quickly greeted by our server, Eli, who provided chips and salsas to whet our appetites, and we soon narrowed our focus to the food and drink menus. We ultimately decided on some El Jefe Tacos, a shrimp and crab enchilada, a three-item combo with two chile rellenos and a cheese enchilada with green sauce, a carne asada taco, and the volcanic Molcajete (served in a warm stone bowl with grilled steak, chicken, and prawns. Covered with a red chile, roasted tomato sauce). For libations, we went with a mojito and a new drink - for us at least - the pineapple mezcal mule! The food came in a timely manner, and the molcajete was still bubbling! Hence, the volcano nickname! The mojito was very minty and refreshing, and the pineapple mezcal mule was an acquired taste for some of the group - I enjoyed the smoky earthiness of the mezcal, but it's not your run-of-the-mill tequila, so if you are new to mezcal, be aware of the difference. The food last time was a bit spicy, but this time it was not an issue. Still spicy, but not to the point of being overpowering. Even the salsas were not as extreme. Good for some of us! All the food was delicious, and the three-item combo was great to look at as well. As we say, "the eyes eat first," and indeed my eyes were little piggies that meal! Overall, the service was great, the food great, and the entertainment a perfect background for what would have been just a noisy bunch of chatter. Overall a great Father's Day lunch.

This spot seems more of a tequila bar that serves food rather than a restaurant setting. For food, we ordered the fish tacos, shrimp ceviche and taquitos. Their fish tacos were good! That green salsa (avocado/chiles) that comes with it was very spicy. Shrimp ceviche on the other hand was whole pieces of cooked shrimp halved lengthwise with cut up avocado and cucumber. I have had better. The taquitos were okay, the exterior tortillas were a bit overcooked. Was impressed with the selection of tequilas however. Would recommend the anejo flight. I'm not a huge tequila expert, but discovered that I like El Tesoro Anejo, very smooth! Service was attentive and our server went out of his way to explain the difference between the various flights. I would come back to try the tequila again for sure!

I used to love walking in here. It had the vibe of a funky SoHo lounge in the 90s. I would add it to the roster for a night out and recommend it to others based on that atmosphere. Now, it looks like every other restaurant in Marin. The drinks are still great and that green ghost pepper salsa is fire. Pixels next door is fun for tipsy gaming.

I went in and there was a bit of a line but the staff took orders and got the food out very quickly. Well run operation for sure. The inside was clean and as soon as a table finished it was immediately bussed and cleaned. I like that they had a open cooking area so you can see how they prep all the orders. I ordered a Carnitas Super Burrito and 3 Pastor Soft Tacos, I liked the complimentary salsa bar which had a few different pickled items, red and green salsa's along with chips. The Carnitas Burrito was good, the mix of the sour cream, guacamole, beans and rice with the salsa gave it good amount of flavor. My only issue was the Carnitas was a bit dry and chewy and was mostly just salty in flavor. Still Tasted ok but it could of been great if they gave a bit more love to the Carnitas. Feels like it was on the flat top to long. The Pastor Tacos were good as well, The onions, cilantro, and salsa they put on the the taco's was a good combination. The Pastor was seasoned good and had a nice spice level to it with a bit of sweetness. My only issue was that the Pastor like the Carnitas was tough and dry. Overall I liked the food and the price for what you get is a good deal for sure, just wished the Carnitas and Pastor were prepared a differently as it would have been a 5/5.
