Fresh Chips and Pico De Gallo

Have to say a bit disappointed in my experience.. came on cinco de mayo at about 3pm. It wasn't busy at all..the outside area was closed to "let the kitchen catch up".. so we sat at a small table on the front porch.. service was slloooowwww and very inattentive. We ordered the fresh guacamole and pico.. no flavor.. I asked for lime and salt and it took 30 minutes before they brought it out.. the entree was a shrimp quesadilla and chicken fajitas... the chicken was flavored nicely but the quesadilla was just ok.. the peach margarita was delicious but I'm a bit surprised there were no specials for cinco. All in all, mediocre food and slow service so I can't really recommend.

These pics were actually from two different occasions, within about a week from each other. After having an entire fresh guac to myself, I decided to bring someone else who likes it to also try it. The fresh guac was sooo good, my only suggestion, if you are going to make it "hot", actually incorporate it into the guac. Them making it hot was adding "Serrano" (which I found out after the second visit) on top. Second time ordering it, I asked for the Serrano to be mixed in plus having some additional on the side. I actually thought it was jalapeño until I tried to order some extra with my quesadilla and they brought me out the wrong pepper. My other negative was the fact that they charged extra to bring out the extra heat when I asked for more peppers in my quesadilla. It came with pickled serrano, but when I asked for the fresh, they charged me extra. Wasn't too happy about that. They simply could've asked me if I wanted fresh or pickled since it came with it and not charge me. For my meal on the first day I got a Carne taco and a breaded shrimp taco. I actually enjoyed the shrimp taco better I stated I also tried the quesadilla pirata, which I got on my second visit and very much enjoyed. Again, I would've preferred fresh serrano instead of pickled to add to the dish. Staff was great although going during lunch I'm at service was a bit slower. The restaurant itself while a bit cramped in some areas offered enough space for a great meal.

This is def great location with a beautiful atmosphere. Love the outdoor seating area which will be great in spring & summer as well as the indoor decore. We were greeted warmly by the hostess and sat on the bar side of the restaurant. Since there not the kind of Mexican restaurant that offer complementary chips and salsa, We decided to order their Queso and Chips the menu options appear very artisanal. Very unfamiliar with this kind of chips, though tasty they were a bit heavy handed on the Tajin and it's a lot of effort to break the chips into pieces would probably prefer regular tortilla chips. . We noticed they had a great drink selection. We opted not to drink that day but look forward to trying some in the future. For our mains we got the shrimp chimichanga and brisket chimichanga. They were a hit perfect flavorful the shrimp tasted so fresh the brisket wasn't dry . Great first impression with those dishes. Service was good a bit disjointed though Our waiter definitely had his hands full as bartender and server . He did his best but I think he might have been better focusing on the bar side than almost every where he seemed to be bussin the outdoor seating area and bartending and serving. . But it was pretty early in the day so maybe that's what needed to be done for coverage.

3/20/23 2nd visit No brainer .. the quality & taste of the food is phenomenal. 5 stars! Deduction Critique: A chicken & cheese quesadilla is $9.95 (A-la-carte! It is large but it's only chicken & cheese.) Grilled onions $1.00 Mushrooms $1.00 (I can almost understand this one) Sour cream $.50 Jalapeños Ranch Sauce $1.00 I recommend Las Flores but what about some lettuce? Chopped tomatoes? Peppers? There are no complimentary chips & salsa served here. Salsa would have been incredible on the quesadilla as it was pretty dry without. My point being the quesadilla was missing a few other things but "everything" has an up-charge. As good as this restaurant is, the necessity to nickel & dime the customer for every condiment seems unnecessary. It's almost comical. It makes me question who benefits from the "up-charge" as I would assume the server is the one who ultimately is affected. This is my second visit and both times 'Help Wanted' signs were posted. Just my humble opinion, and everyone has one, of how Great could be Greater! I'll continue to want to visit when I'm in town but if sticking to a lunch or dinner budget, it foregoes the potential greatness this restaurant could offer. An interesting note...a couple walked inside to be seated with a large dog. The entrance was right next to our table. It was several moments before the couple & dog were seated. I am unaware where they were seated but I assume or I hope on the outdoor patio. I am not a dog hater by any means, but I prefer not to have animals inside the restaurant near my table or food. For those with allergies, it would have been inevitable.

Happy Hour was great! Drinks were high quality! Large selection of tequila! Great customer service! Happy Hour Food and Side salad with cilantro vinaigrette is to die for! The street corn is well seasoned! I will be back!

Friendly customer service, really cute interior design, HUGE fan of the yucca fries, love the pico (do miss chip chips...not gotta chips), drink was good! Will be back!

This is supposed to be chicken nachos! On what planet? Burnt American slice cheese as well.

Zero stars is more like it. What a joke, waste of time and patience. We showed up p at 4:10, it took 20 minutes to get water another 13 to get a beer after being told our server couldn't find a Pacifico. We ordered chicken nachos and the Calle steak tacos. An hour in what reminded me of Alpo dog food was presented as nachos. Burnt, sad and with an awful taste. No salsa- when we finally saw our server, who BTW couldn't care less, we asked for salsa to attempt to salvage this 12 dollar mess only to be told they don't have salsa. Only pick that we'd have to order. Sure, still trying here. Another 10 mi it's, hubby finally gets up to ask anyone to help us. Another 15- at this point I am done. I wave it off. Hubby leaves restaurant and I wait for server who ignores me of course. Hand him 20 bucks just to leave. Don't go, don't waste your time, money, patience or taste buds. We went left and on the corner is a small Mexican restaurant. No ambience but fast, friendly and great tasting. Look for that review.

The food NEVER disappoints. It's consistently done well. I have had more authentic tasting meals here than I had in Mexico.

The issues arose when there was miscommunication between him and a guest of mine. Her food was made incorrectly and it was black... burnt and he still charged her for food not eaten. He spoke little English and didn't understand and he went and got what was supposed to be a manager (Hispanic female) and she immediately came in charging at my guest and screaming at her. My guest didnt get a chance to say anything for being verbally attacked by this deranged female!! We all looked at this female and told her to stop. Don't talk to people like that and you barely speak English too. Get someone thst understands. The deranged female kept yelling. My guest asked her to calm down and the female continued screaming and then threatened to call the police! Other customers told the deranged female to stop and she refused. She knew she was wrong. She didn't even understand the issue because she never listened and she should've gotten someone that spoke English. My guest remained calm throughout this attack, paid her bill and left. This female was still screaming at her as she walked away. Anyone else would've turned around and took action being this female was in her personal space. We step outside and there are 4 police cars outside due to this female lying about what actually happened!! Had we called the polICE on her, it would be a different story. Then she told the police I couldn't come back in. What did I do?? I didn't want to go back in anyway and won'tbe returning. The other locations are better than this one anyway. This restaurant socalled manager obviously has some kind of racism in her being she did not speak to anyone non color in the same manner. I hope she has her credentials intact.

It was 5 Stars!!!…read moreI am so disappointed to write this, because I love this restaurant, I love the servers, I love hanging out with people my age, and visiting with locals. I moved here less than a year ago to be close to my grandkids and this is where I've made a few friends. It's the best Mexican food on this side of town, but on 6/11/2026 I had an unexplainable negative experience . I consumed two small margaritas in 2-3 hours. At some point my bev was spiked. I lost all memory from 4-845pm. I regained consciousness at my son's home after arriving around 7:50 Pm. The manager explained I left the restaurant around 5:00pm- I thought I left at 4:00. I have zero recollection of anything after 4pm. Yes, it's upsetting that I drove 100 miles God knows where and my family located me on a dirt road in the complete opposite direction from my home- unconscious, and without knowing how I got there. What made the experience even more upsetting and stressful is the manager didn't believe me, and was angry at me for reporting it to her. She was defensive. She said she saw nothing on video as if she is a forensic expert. I expected they would want to know, so I came forward. I certainly would and would educate my staff. I thought they would care that something untoward took place. I'm so upset, it was traumatic, but NEVER did I accuse the restaurant. As someone who has 10 years experience in the hospitality business and 25 years in Hospital management , I can comfortably say that she handled this incorrectly, by being accusatory and hostile towards me. I never got a call from a superior. I deserved to be treated with respect and care. I just want to move forward, and see my friends again, but I will never leave my beverage unattended anywhere again. She has stated she will never serve me alcohol again, so I can no longer have that happy hour margarita with my friends that I so enjoyed here. I am being punished. This is exactly why women don't come forward when they are assaulted, because we are blamed and shamed for situations out of our control. Shame on you Los Bravos. #Metoo *Be fair warned this is not uncommon . Friends of mine ( a couple) had this happen to them in Decatur last year, they woke up at home with no memory of the evening. In addition my niece was "roofied" in Paris also last year. Thank you. Be Very Safe

The other reviews did not lie! The restaurant is located in the back of a small Mexican grocery store. There was a guy out front singing and opening the door for patrons that were going in and out, which I thought was so sweet! I walked straight to the back to the restaurant. I ordered three birria tacos and birria ramen. I also got a bottled cook. The price was $35.00. They do have tables to dine in and that was my plan but I ended up taking it to go. Hands down the BEST tacos I have ever had. I have to admit that was my first time having birria tacos and I am kicking myself because I have most definitely been missing out. Plenty of meat, the flavors, the heat from the red sauce...it did not miss. The ramen was good but I expected it have an egg and vegetables but it was meat and noodles. I don't plan on ordering the ramen again, but if I do, I will add to it. One thing I did notice is the receipt did not request a tip. Maybe that is a good thing but I would have loved to tip them for the good service and exceptional food. They did have a tip jar at the counter so if you want to leave a tip, be sure to bring cash. So if you are in the area or don't mind the drive, get the birria tacos but don't be like me and just get three, get at least 4+.
