I have driven past this restaurant a hundred times and never noticed it until I stopped for gas at the Shell station and decided to stop by and try it. Glad I did. I am a big fan of "street tacos" and theirs are great. I have tried the chicken, steak and pork tacos. I like the chicken and steak the best served Mexican style (onions and cilantro) on a fried corn tortilla. Just great served with a large Mexican Coca-Cola. The owners are great. When I stopped in I was wearing an Army shirt and they received a call from their son serving in Europe who was in the Army and face-timed them wearing the same shirt. A great little restaurant with owner operators living the American dream, working hard and raising a son who serves in the Army. This is my new favorite "hole in the wall" restaurant. Absolutely perfect authentic Mexican food. The place is extremely clean. The ambiance is worth dining in. The hard shell tacos are amazing. The chips and salsa they give is ridiculous, and the prices are essentially fast food. But none of that is the best part, the absolute best part is definitely the service. DO NOT EAT HERE ! I ordered the carnitas tacos and got some tamales by far the worst mexican food ive had in a very long time. It took about 20 minutes for 6 tacos and 1 tamale. Tacos came with a single shell which is trash with only 1 shell the taco literally falls apart ruins the meal. If i go to a mexican restaurant or taco truck and i see its only single shell tacos thats the biggest red flag stay far from here you are better off eating the food in the gas station next to it. I came in here and a lady complained and said "my beef is too wet" and argued to try and get food for free... the owner and her husband runs this place, and they bust their butt to live the American dream. Went here with my daughter she was craving some good Mexican food. We just came from California and it's been hard trying to find a authentic Mexican restaurant. This place wasn't far from our home and let me tell you it actually was good. Better than some of the other ones we've tried in the past. I got a asada burrito (no lettuce). The meat was tender and seasoned well. My daughter got her tacos and she didn't make it out of the parking lot! Overall I think we will be visiting again!! read more

Went to this little Mexican restaurant on the corner of the gas station. At our table was ordered 4 different entrees. Out of the entire food we ordered only the tex rice was okay. Nice little quaint restaurant that located on 155 located in Stockbridge next to a Shell gas station. Went here last minute because it was suggested and I must say it really nice. It's not a big restaurant at all and it only looks like you can order takeout but low and behold they have about four sets of booths. The waiter was a young man who was very friendly. I'll admit I was a bit skeptical when my grandma pulled up next to a gas station. They weren't very busy, but we caught them right before dinner. People were certainly filling in towards the end. It's a very small restaurant, but they seemed to make it work! Was immediately greeted, seated and served chips and salsa. Service was very prompt. Got my queso quickly and my food quickly as well. We from out of town and we tired this restaurant because there aren't many Mexican choices around, when we got there we realized that this wasn't your typical Mexican restaurant. The first thing that was strange was that they don't sell margaritas and have a small beer selection, which if you're not looking to drink that shouldn't be a problem. The menu is smaller than most other Mexican places but I didn't mind this because I usually order the same thing every time I get Mexican, which is fajita steak quesadillas. Some places the meal comes with rice and beans it doesn't here but it was only like a $1.75 to add the rice which I did. We started out with the guacamole amigos small and it wasn't what we expected. The flavor was very bland and the picture I added was after mashing it up myself and adding salt and lime juice, not the best guacamole but it was doable. The quesadilla was lacking on the cheese but overall the flavor was really good. My sister ordered the Mexican style tacos in shrimp, chicken, and steak, which I was pleased they let her mix and match. In her opinion they were ok. The service was really good everyone was super sweet and constantly checking on us. I say if you're in the mood for Mexican flavor but not looking for specific flavors you'd be fine here. read more

Great little place hidden next to a Shell gas station. Don't let that deter you! Probably one of my most favorite local Mexican restaurants in the area. Not a great place if you are looking for beer, margaritas or mixed drinks but perfectly fine for the family! Might want to call ahead and see if they are open because we have stopped in several times and for random reasons... they were closed. They just put a note in the door. I drove up to the restaurant around 4pm and there weren't any cars in the front of the store. It's a small restaurant but don't let that prevent you from trying them out. My friend and I sat down, we instantly received a basket of chips & we each got a cup of salsa. We both ordered chicken quesadillas Fajita style, which comes with onions and peppers. Ok so with all the great reviews maybe my expectations were too high. The chips tasted old. I came in at one on a Wednesday afternoon and the place was empty. The wall in the booth that I was sitting at had juice stains. Yuckarooni ...I ordered the carne asada. It was very tender but did not have a drop of seasoning. Not on drop! I have never once been to a Mexican restaurant where I had to add salt and pepper to the food . The onions that were piled under the steak were nearly raw. The jalapeño pepper was raw as well with only a tinge of char at the tip. Come on guys don't you watch the food channel...fire roast that baby so I can add it to my carnivore indulgences .The sweet tea tasted like sugar water. Because the steak was very tender the vegetables were fresh and they gave me two slices of avocado and I left full even though I left half of my food on the table... I am raising it from 2 to 3 stars. I heard about the great prices ..not so, with tip this $18 lunch was not worth it. read more

This's was our second visit. The first was a disappointment as everything was over salted. Numerous tables were complaining and as a group, we complained to management. Fast forward about a year and we tried it again and we are so happy we did. Chips and salsa were as expected. Then the entrees arrived. I had street tacos, husband had carne asada and my dad had a combo that included a chili rellano. Food was plated beautifully and flavors were spot on. We ended up eating from each other's dinners. Next visit, I will have the rellanos as they were perfect. Cheese stuffed pepper, washed in egg and pan fried to perfection. It was topped with a light salsa rojo. Every time my dad looked away, I snagged a bite I pass the restaurant a couple times a week and it is hard no to stop. Going back soon. read more

If I could give half a star I would. I told the waitress I wanted a cheese dip (which is $5 for a smalll...) and a margarita and she said ok. She brought the $5 cheese dip and no margarita, so I assumed they were still making it or somethin. No, they dont even sell margaritas and didn't tell me that until I had to ask where it was and the only reason I went there was for a margarita. Brand new Mexican restaurant in McDonough. Service is warm and friendly. The chef is authentic and you can hear him singing in the kitchen. Try the Carne Asada or the Fajitas. We were in town for the state volleyball tournament and wanted to try a good local restaurant. We found this one yelp and it had great reviews so decided to give it a shot. First don't let the fact that's it's small and attached to shell station scare you. This place is delicious! Authentic style Mexican food! Fabulous service, good portion size and reasonable prices, We had a party of 13 so so we tried a lot of different things on the menu and everyone was impressed even those unfamiliar with authentic Mexican food. The only bad thing I can say is they were out of flan and I really wanted to try it bc Of how good everything else was. I really hate that we live 4 hours away from this place. Excellent food with FRESH ingredients. Even the chips are better than most other restaurants. Service was awesome. We had the Amigos guacamole made fresh and the portion was more than enough for the four of us. My husband and I split the Amigos Nachos which had strips of beef and chicken with shrimp, bell peppers and onions. Very flavorful and not over salted like most Mexican restaurants. We drank a whole pitch of Dos Equis and topped it off with dessert of a sopapilla and flan. We will definitely be back soon. read more
