Tips: - Las Muns is located at STACKT Market and faces Bathurst Street. - Parking is limited at STACKT. I parked across the street at Farm Boy. It's $2 for forty minutes. If you spend $15 there, you get your $2 reimbursed. A Yelp elite experience introduced me to Las Muns. The empanadas are fantastic. Last Wednesday, I came here from work. I left at around 2:30 pm. Traffic was decent along the Gardiner Expressway and Lakeshore Boulevard. I decided to park in the underground lot across from Las Muns. It's actually parking for Farm Boy. I highly recommended it. Parking for forty minutes at this lot is $2. If you are grabbing empanadas here and taking a stroll around STACKT, you have plenty of time. If you buy at least $15 worth of groceries at Farm Boy, the store pays for the first forty minutes of parking. Just present your parking ticket and you'll get $2 off your grocery order. I walked across the street. Las Muns faces Bathurst Street, which is highly convenient, especially if you are walking or taking the streetcar over here. I walked in and was the only customer. I loved the empanada design on the floor. I had the nicest man helping me out and talking to me. The empanadas are handmade and looked fabulous. The different colours make it easier to distinguish one empanada flavour over the others. The colouring is from fruits and veggies. There was a little guide that helped me figure out what empanada offerings were available. Each empanada had markings or the flavour name on them. Some were easier to read than others. I've had these empanadas: - Steak and eggs - Mushroom camembert - Thai chicken - Cheeseburger (vegan) There are also dessert empanadas. I'll need to get some next time. I chose the brownie cookie for my dessert. I was not expecting the man to give it to me on the house. It was sweet, but it also put me in a tipping bind. He warmed up my empanadas. I looked at my cookie in a paper bag. It looked yummy and cute. I saw keychains. Proceeds go to the Sick Kids Foundation. Perfect! I got one, paid with a credit card, and added a tip. Done! He put my empanadas in a pink box. The empanadas smelled so good! This man was nice to chat with. He didn't know about STACKT until he started working at this store. He likes what he does. I could tell! I wished him a great day. He reciprocated. I crossed the street, did some shopping at Farm Boy, got my parking payment reimbursed, and put all my goods in my car before I left. I had my brownie cookie when I got home. It was so good. It was crispy around the edges of the empanada-shaped baked good. It was moist and chewy inside. It wasn't super sweet, which I appreciated. The other cookie was chocolate chip. I'll need to get one next time. This experience was extremely generous. I have only eaten half of my empanada haul. Las Muns recommends that you either bake or air-fry your empanadas. Nuking them in the microwave is frowned upon. I went with my toaster oven. I put two empanadas on a tray and baked them at 450°F for ten minutes. It depends on your oven. It's recommended to bake between eight to ten minutes. I had the steak and eggs one first. It was packed full of cubed, tender beef. I saw sautéed mushrooms. At first, I thought that cheddar cheese was oozing out of it. Nope, it was boiled eggs. It was even better and explained the creaminess. The flavours were so good. It was difficult to contain my excitement when I saw the mushroom and camembert empanada. It's such a good combination that I knew that I'd love it. I was right. The filling had small chunks of mushrooms. The camembert cheese was the perfect pairing with the mushrooms. It was buttery and elegant. It had the best chive flavour to bring out the yumminess of the two main ingredients. Excellent! The cheeseburger empanada is vegan. It had a slight spice kick. It didn't need it. It was okay, but it didn't wow me. Thai chicken was amazing. I loved the coconut milk with a touch of spice. The chicken was tender. It was yummy. Las Muns makes excellent empanadas. I look forward to returning for more good eats. (107)

A great place for some quick and delicious empanadas honestly all flavours I have tried so far have been delicious. They reheat extremely well! Favourite so far has been the poutine ! The service is always nice! And the shop itself is really cute. If you are at stakt this place is a must go!

The space is clean, bright, and very photogenic. It was quiet when we arrived, which made it easy to browse. There is a great selection with plenty of flavors, including sweet options, as well as vegetarian, and non vegetarian savory options. STACKT Market was pretty quiet overall that weekend, but I can see this spot thriving once the weather warms up and foot traffic picks up. My husband and I tried eight empanadas: Bacon and Cheese (2x) We had a feeling this would be our favorite and we were right. Loaded with bacon, tons of gooey cheese, and surprisingly not greasy. You can finish one without feeling weighed down. Steak and Eggs Packed with steak pieces and a solid amount of egg. It genuinely felt like a full breakfast, just without the heavy food coma after. Margherita Refreshing and well balanced. You can clearly taste the tomato sauce, mozzarella, and basil without one overpowering the others. It reminded us of a mini panzarotti. Poutine The gravy was well seasoned and flavorful. We expected the shell to get soggy, but it held up well and was not overly wet or messy to eat. Spicy Beef Generous beef filling, very tasty, but not spicy at all. I would have loved a bit more heat to live up to the name. Apple Pie So good. The filling was perfectly cooked, not too soggy and not overly sweet. Literally a pocket pie. Dulce de Leche My personal favorite from the sweet options. The banana was ripe and warm, the caramel was rich without being cloying, and the chocolate exterior tied everything together beautifully. Overall, every empanada was well stuffed and flavorful. These make a great treat to bring to a group gathering and share, though you might want to grab extras because they disappear! fast.

This is a Spanish takeout restaurant located in the Stackt Market, prominently at the Spadina main entrance. They specialize in Empanadas, all handmade from start to finish. There are no preservatives or additives. Even their unique dough colours come from natural ingredients, not food colourings. If you wish to eat it soon, they can eat it up for you. The place is well lit. I've never seen so many different flavours of Empanadas! They even have a special Poutine one for the Canadian market. Also, there are vegan and dessert empanadas. Their website lists the exact ingredients of each empanada in case you have any allergies. I ordered a box of four and a salad. It is a combo for $26.99. I am taking it home to eat so I will update this review when I try them! The salad jar is interesting. There is a lid like in a pop can. Inside is salad dressing so you pour it in and shake it. I'm amazed with the innovative idea! The salad is kept chilled in their fridge. The staff were so nice and helpful. Their names are Debbie, Bruna and Bloom. There is a self-order kiosk. It grand opened on 2025-09-20. It originated in Spain. There are three locations in Canada: two downtown Toronto and one in Hamilton. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There are washrooms in the Stackt Market. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2025-203

6$/each as of Feb2026 Flavour ratings; Mushroom Camembert: 7.5/10 Creamy spinach: 6/10 (definitely the healthiest, least grease) Thai chicken: 8/10 Spicy beef: 7.5/10 These empanadas are very fresh and tasty, I would honestly recommend for a quick snack and they're not too expensive either.

We ordered a mix of dishes to share, and everything came out beautifully presented. The flavors felt very balanced--nothing overly heavy, just really well thought out. The seafood was especially fresh, and the tapas-style plates made it fun to try a bit of everything. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the pacing of the meal felt just right. It's the kind of place you can come for a relaxed evening but still feel like you're treating yourself a little. Definitely a spot I'd come back to, especially with friends so we can order more and share.

Our favourites were the oxtail pintxo, bravas, wagyu, churros, and flan--each of these really stood out and delivered on flavour. That said, I was especially excited for the paella, and it unfortunately fell short. I've had better paella from a food truck, and for much cheaper. Between the chicken and striploin, we preferred the chicken as it had a more cohesive flavour. The striploin was cooked closer to rare when we asked for medium rare, making it tough to eat, and the rice itself was quite bland. On a positive note, the service was lovely--attentive, warm, and accommodating throughout the night. Our server checked in often without being intrusive and made the experience feel polished and welcoming. Overall, while the ambience and service made for a great evening, the food didn't quite justify the price for me. Not sure I'd return, but still a nice spot if you're looking for a good atmosphere.

The bone marrow was roasted well, and the sourdough was grilled perfectly. If the condiments for the marrow were easier to scoop with a spoon and not placed on the side of the plate, the experience might have been even better. The mushroom croquetas were as expected with a truffle cheese sauce filling, nothing special about it. The shrimp was overcooked and became tough, especially given its size, although the flavor was decent. For the paella, it's best to order as soon as you sit down since it takes at least 30 minutes to prepare. It's a good portion size for sharing, and the flavors were tasty. I would have preferred if the seafood on top wasn't overcooked, as it was a bit chewy. We finished with churros for dessert, served with a side of dulce de leche. Overall, both the service and food were good.

We went to Talagria for the Father's Day weekend brunch…read more Let's start with the great. Well, nothing. The good. There was an ok variety of food items. The had roasted pork, a roast beef, 2 kinds of paella (seafood, truffle mushroom), garlic shrimp, asparagus, potatoes, a few salads, some dips, eggs, bacon, breads, fruit, a selection of pastries and several other dishes. It was good selection. The problem is that they could not refill the popular dishes fast enough. They sat empty for a while. The bad. The table we sat at was simply too close to the table behind us. There was simply too little room for customers/waiters to walk by - and they did walk by as it's a buffet. But, they kept bumping in to us, asking us to move, and overall, it was just unpleasant. Getting the food is equally as bad. The restaurant was not built or designed for a buffet. So, it comes down to the customers being patient and obedient and just following simple (common sense) rules. That didn't happen several times with several "pushy" customers and were too impatient. Finally, was the $70 per person justified (it's normally $50). Hell, no. I knew what it would cost going in, although I booked 3 weeks in advance (thinking $50) and got a phone call 2 weeks before to warn me it was jumping to $70 due to Father's Day and was I ok with it. Never having been before, I thought, if they can demand $70, it must be great. Sadly, no.

We ordered the Sea Bream Ceviche and chips, quarter Octopus and Patatas Bravas. The highlight was the ceviche. The octopus was unfortunately a little overdone, which made it tough. I would absolutely not order the patatas bravas again. The potatoes were very dry and tasted as if they had been sitting out for some time. We also sat at the bar and had a few ordered of cocktails with the food. Be aware that the bar itself slopes down towards you. With that being said, my partner put her drink down on the sloped part and it fell all over both of us, with the bartender seeing it all unfold. He was nice in providing some extra napkins to dry ourselves off, but all he had to offer was "Yup that happens a lot" as opposed to maybe offering to remake the drink which was now 2/3 empty as a result. Was a little disappointed at that service in particular, especially when you're paying upwards of $18 for a small cocktail. The atmosphere was good, however. IF I were to give it another try, I'd probably just opt for drinks and skip the food, which was a little pricier for what you're getting portion-wise and quality.

If I see Iberico ham on a menu, I'm always tempted. At La Paella, the plato de jamon Iberico ($42)…read moreis cut thicker than usual, making it meatier and chewier than the delicate, thinner versions I've had before. The upside is you really taste the sweet pork. The downside? It's paired with black truffle chips that completely overpower it. Do yourself a favour: eat the ham first, then the chips to wash down your cerveza. Otherwise, you're wasting the ham. The croquetas ($18 for six) change with the season. Ours were studded with bits of ham, finely diced into a creamy, almost mashed potato-like filling. The crisp exterior against the soft interior made for a great bite. I'm glad the server suggested ordering sourdough ($5) alongside the gambas al ajillo ($29), because the garlicky olive oil and sherry sauce was excellent. Specks of guindilla chilies add a subtle but noticeable kick. If I weren't trying to save room for the main, I would have devoured an entire thick slice of that crusty bread. You'll need at least two people to share a paella but a larger table is even better so you can try a couple of versions. Do not miss the paella de langosta ($100 for two-person portion). It's a simple but effective combination of lobster tail, prawns, and scallops, all cooked well despite the risk of overcooking such large pieces. The saffron rice is infused with an aromatic seafood stock and dotted with broad beans and peas for colour. It could be a touch drier - I prefer when the bottom forms a crispy crust - but if you enjoy a creamier, risotto-like consistency, this will suit you. Only while writing this did I realize you can request it done socarrat (the traditional burnt crust), which I'd request next time. As for meat options, the paella matadero ($84 for two-person portion) is not for the faint of heart. You really really need to love pork - chorizo, pork belly, and ribs make it rich, salty, and quite heavy. Without much sauce, the ribs can lean a bit gamey. As a table, we agreed we should've gone with the traditional chicken-based Valenciana instead, as this was simply too much. By the time 8:30pm rolled around the cheesecake was sold out, but who cares as their churros were fantastic! Freshly fried with a light crispy exterior and a soft moist centre, they were coated in cinnamon sugar and served with a chocolate sauce that wasn't overly sweet. Easily one of the best churro orders I've had.

Was honestly really good. Looking at all the other reviews here it seems like a mixed bag. But this one was great. Maybe the others aren't always good? The paella is made to order and is cooked in front of you though so maybe they don't have their QA locked in. Our experience was great. Super flavorful. Only thing is that there wasn't really any socarrat (which is the best part!). Purists will say this is required for a paella to be good but I enjoyed myself anyway. Gambas: incredible. I could come back here for just this. The sauce was unreal and so flavorful. No notes. Bread: we got up sold on the bread. Went great wiping up the gambas sauce but the bread itself wasn't that great as far as bread goes. Service: Service was not bad. Pretty prompt and didn't wait long for anything. Ambiance: Pretty cute. Decor is colorful and very Spanish.
