Sol is one of the most beautiful studios I have been too. It's heated and they provide the bands, balls but bring your own towel and mat. They have showers with a few supplies, towel, hair ties, spray deodorant which is nice. They also have lockers for your items during the class. I walked out feeling refreshed and stretched out. I've also taken the Hot HIIT Pilates class, and that one will definitely make you work. Challenging for sure, but really good. I like that the classes feel intentional and well-paced, and the energy in the studio is always welcoming. Such a great space whether you're looking for something restorative or more of a challenge.

This is located on the top floor of a building in the plaza. You can take the stairs or the small elevator to the second floor. Bring your own mat and Yoga towel as well as a face towel for sweat. Boy will you sweat! Hope you don't have a man or a towel they also provide rentals for a small fee. They also have a bathroom/locker room with some available showers in case you need to rinse off or head on over somewhere afterwards. If you need a towel, it is also three dollars for shower towels. I recommend their hot Mount Pilates class. It's the best! Sometimes classes are pretty full so you have to figure out where to place your Matt get there a little bit early to find your spot. The instructor usually will correct your form if she sees you doing it incorrectly.

They have morning yoga sessions on the actual beach (typically ~7am) and they have some "Lawn Yoga" at the Las Olas park across from the beach, as well as some occasional night time yoga on the beach typically for full moon events. Lawn Yoga I attended 9:30 am on a Saturday $10 cash Cute lawn area for group yoga outside. It's $10 for about a 1.5 he class. WARNING as the sun starts coming out and the shade from the surrounding palm trees disappear if gets HOT! Bring sunglasses and iced water. I am likely not to attend this class time anymore because of the heat alone. Although she does hand out a cold drink and cool aroma therapy towels at the end that is helpful. You follow the instructor but this isn't the type of class where the instructor will correct or help your form. There is a Market going on at the same time as the class so it's cool to stroll around and see what the vendors are selling afterward. I had to pay parking if $25 via pay by phone app and that was a bummer. Moonlight yoga Occasional monthly event. $15 cash Attended Thursday at 630pm. They bring speakers and there are 2-3 row sections facing the beach. The sound of the ocean is beautiful. I attended class with one instructor the but the following day a different instructor hosted a similar session. Very nice and spiritual with the combination of the ocean and the moonlight. Although I felt that it could have been more in depth poses. Warning : No bathrooms around and it gets chilly once the sun starts going down.

I loved it so much I used to work at the front desk in exchange for classes. Sadly I moved too far away and couldn't attend classes very often. The studio went under new ownership, and made some aesthetic changes which I found very nice. The studio is still very clean and homey, as well as organized. I can't speak for all classes or instructors, of course. But tonight I took beginners with Melody who has been there for at least 10 years. She is the real deal! An amazing yoga teacher who can break down poses anatomically, but also has an amazing spiritual presence. I'd be there every week if I lived closer.

There studio is at the beginning of a row of what seems to be warehouses and garage spaces. I got lucky and found a parking spot at the front of the lot. The studio space itself is charming and relaxing. I love the small lights they have hanging from the ceiling, and the temperature inside was cool and comfortable. There was an area to place our personal belongings, and the studio was clean and well taken care of. The class I went there for was done by a traveling group, so I won't go in detail about the experience, but I enjoyed it! I would visit this space again.

I'm totally convinced that Jessie is an alien- the way she infects people's spirits with her love of dance is definitely out of this worldly. I just finished a class she offered in Plantation outdoors, the neat thing was that about half of the class was entirely new, and the joy and smile on everyone's faces (I should add ridiculously sweaty faces) is just more evidence of how great Funk&Flow is! This year I am going to make it a resolution to make it out at least once a month for a class with Jessie, even though the studio is now a really far schlep from my residence. What better way to start the year than to balancing your energy through meditation?!…read moreI invited my friend to come with me to the Urban studio to try their crystal bow and gong meditation on Tuesdays evenings. I'm talking 2 hours of pure balanced and enriched atmosphere! The cozy studio is located off East Sunrise Blvd. in Ft. Lauderdale, on the 2nd floor of a small street strip shopping mall. As I came in the atmosphere was set for relaxation and learning, all the attendants were very much in tune and ready to enjoy this unique experience. You could choose between meditation only or meditation and Acupuncture. I chose the last one as I really needed to set my energy for 2016 bar really high. The lights were dimmed low, the soothing smell of burning incense, the music playing low volume set the tone for the experience. One of the guides was going around playing a funky blow instrument with great vibration that he would play around your body and it created am incredibly relaxing sensation. I don't want to spoil the whole experience, but it was so worth the drive ( I'm coming from Boca!) and the time, it's a two hours set followed by Kava drinks (vibrated inside the crystal bowl!) and fruits. The energy around was just magnificent at the end, so much that people just stayed in talking, mingling and enjoying every single last minute there. It was indeed a great relaxing time that I will most certainly repeat very soon! Namaste!
