You can sit on the private beach, enjoy the swimming pool and eat at the beachfront restaurant. Steps away are lots of local vendors rent out jet skis, parasails, kayaks and more, so I love to come here with my husband. I sit on the outdoor terrace and sip margaritas while he has fun out on the ocean. I'm not outdoorsy so the margaritas and guacamole are more my speed! The food and drink prices are cheap and (knock on wood) I've never picked up a stomach bug on my 4 visits here. When he's done with his fun in the sun, we just hang out on the beach, drink and relax. It's great! Pretty much everything you need is right here: bar service, decent food, a nice beach, water sports, clean bathrooms, and local vendors hawking everything from cigars to silver jewelry. It's easy to catch a taxi right out front too. This is a great day stop and one of the best kept secrets in Mazatlan.

Upon opening the door to the room, the smell of pine-sol was so overbearing, we coughed!! We had to buy our own toilet paper and soap. No toilet paper holder. Only one light bulb in bathroom worked. There was no coffee pot, hair dryer, alarm clock, wash clothes in the room. I believe there were two bath towels. There was one garbage can. The refridg is very loud when it starts up every 30 minutes or so, so during the night that was very disturbing to me. The sliding glass door did not lock. There were no screens on the windows or curtains to help block the sun in the morning, but that's okay if you like to wake up on vacation when the sun comes up. There was a curtain on the sliding glass door though. The TV remote did not work. I know this all probably sounds very nick-picky. I am not that picky, but this room was poor at best. Be very, very careful booking this place!! If there's any way for you to know what building you will be in and what room, definitely find that out. (we were in room 212). Find out who the person is that you're going through......Do NOT go through Monserrat Huerta!! This room is not what is advertised. We learned the hard way! If possible, go through another property management person. While looking on Booking.com for a place to stay in Mazatlan, I read all the reviews on this place. One person had posted a negative review, like I'm doing right now. I figured this person was just a complainer because all the other reviews were pretty good. But it's my assumption now that they probably had the same room we had, or one that Monserrat Huerta takes care of. I have never complained about a hotel room before, but this room, on a scale of 1 to 10, was a 1. I would highly NOT recommend this place. Monserrat Huerta needs to take better care of her clients' property. We couldn't get out of there quick enough! I'm sure if we had been in one of the condos, we would have had a great time. The people staying there are very nice. Too bad that this room can make such a bad first impression, because I have to believe the condos are wonderful. As we left, we talked to Karla and she was very nice and understanding. When we tried to talk to Monserrat the first day, she basically told us we're on our own (my words, not hers). At that point we had nowhere else to go, otherwise we would have been out of there in a heart beat. Just my opinions. The grounds are very pretty and clean. If you can get in one of the condos, they appear to be very nice. We weren't able to eat there due to timing, but everyone said the food is great. Access to the beach is right there and the beach is nice. The property is up north, so there's limited places to eat. You will have to take a taxi or bus down to the Golden Zone, but that's not bad and it's cheap on the bus and a good way to see the area.
