I have been to Las Palmas sooooooo many times since I moved to NWA 7 years ago. I usually get the Mini-Chimi. It is big enough for a guy to eat, while also big enough to share with my wife, and it tastes good. I recommend getting the cheese sauce and not the red. Other things we gotten: tortas, fajitas, enchiladas, flautas, and quesadillas. All yum!! PROS: the food is well priced; the food tastes good; the food comes out quickly; the staff is friendly; chips&salsa come with the meal; restaurant and bathrooms are clean. CONS: the food is not high quality (even though it does taste good). Though the staff is friendly when you engage them, I have never found them really "helpful," in the sense that when I ask questions about the menu, I don't really get a a good answer. There might be a language barrier there...maybe. The PROS outweigh the CONS and make this a good restaurant with good food. I am totally a fan and will return many times. read more

Decided to stop here while house hunting on the west side!! The wait was a little awkward as we stood at the hostess desk waiting to be seated for a good 5 minutes without even being greeted. There were at least 5-6 employees to pass us while we waited. We almost left but were saved by a waitress before we turned our backs! The food was good, it wasn't anything super exciting but good! The cheese dip was a little bland but the carne asada tacos were excellent. The margarita I had was really strong, you could feel the warmth from the alcohol before it even hit my throat! We had so much food and left with our bellies full! We ordered the all a cart carne asada tacos, cheese dip and a small margarita on the rocks. Oh and the salsa was great, for sure one of my favorites in NWA! read more

I would give them a 5 star review just for the margaritas alone. Haven't been here for a while and had forgotten how good they were. One of best in town. Had my usual Chili Relleno which was excellent. Salsa is very mild but good. Staff is always pleasant and appreciative. Guacamole is great. Avocado with out a lot of fillers. Been eating here for at least 16 years. Will continue coming back!! read more

Food here is ALWAYS great! I'm also impressed with how this location has handled the Covid19 directives!!! In addition to following the cdc recommendations for each phase (disinfecting chairs/tables/floors/etc, only allowing a certain % of max capacity, social distancing, etc.) they also implemented additional precautions to keep their guests/staff safe (requiring masks while customers are up walking around/requiring masks when paying & leaving.) These extra safeguards make me more likely to stay & order additional drinks and/or return for future visits. read more

I lived in northwest Arkansas for 16 years but didn't find this place until the last six. My now-husband introduced me to it on a date, and I really liked the friendly staff, festive and comfortable atmosphere, yummy food, and marvelous margaritas. We dined here almost weekly between 2008 and 2014 when we moved. Every time we return to visit family (relatives and friends), we make a point of visiting Las Palmas. My personal favorites from the menu: cheese dip (shared; for the table), small margarita on the rocks, and a half-order of veggie quesadilla. read more

This is probably the worst customer service restaurant and false pricing on delivery menus posted. A bunch of us from my work ordered some food over the phone to pick up. The girl that answered the phone was Elizabeth. She was extremely rude to my co-worker. My co-worker had requested to remove rice and beans and the guacamole replacing that with avocado slices. Elizabeth saying to her, " we will have to charge extra for that" in a snotty tone. My order was a à la cart chicken tostada to which I found on their delivery menu as $2.50. When the food came to me the receipt said $4.99 plus tax which is double the price so I called the restaurant to ask about it and Elizabeth stated that that was just the way it is that the prices have gone up and up the menu I saw wasn't the right menu. Never did she try to resolve anything. Worst customer service ever and food not impressed!! read more

Pretty disappointed with my experience here. I came in to place a Togo order yesterday around 1:00. I ordered a large queso and asked if I could get the spicy tomatillo salsa, rather than the mild it comes with. The Togo lady told me she'd have to charge me for the tomatillo. While I've never been charged for swapping out salsas, (on the multiple occasions I've been here), I readily agreed as I understand it isn't standard. (The heart wants what the heart wants). So after ringing me up a tab of $9 for chips and dip (see picture), I asked for enough chips to feed four people. She immediately responded (with a bit of an attitude), "I can only give you ONE bag". At this point I became annoyed and followed up with the question, "well since I'm now paying for queso and salsa individually, does that not entitle me to two bags?" She told me no, and offered no alternative solution. I would have paid for an additional bag of chips, but after feeling like I had to fight each step of this interaction, I did not want to push anymore. All other Togo orders I've placed have been accommodated with ease. This interaction was unpleasant and seemingly unnecessary. In summation, the end result of a $9 (plus tip) food order was disappointing. The approximate 3oz side of tomatillo was only two-thirds full and cost me $3-4. That combined with the unsatisfactory service, will deter me from visiting this location again. read more

Well Folks, Jose is no longer at this location and he is sorely missed. We had not been there in over a year because of bad service. We went this week to check it out again at lunch. We should have gone to Acambaro instead. 1) It took 4 minutes to get seated and there were only 3 tables in the whole being used with 2 wait staff available. To make it worse I am disabled. 2) They seated us at a table still dirty from the last customers. We had to tell them to wipe off the table. 3) Wife ordered food and a frozen margarita and was surprised that it was completely liquid-not frozen. Waitress took it back and we could hear her making a second one after we said forget the drink. Of course, she returned with another liquid margarita. We told her this one was bad also and to forget it. She literally did forget it and never returned to the table. We had to ask the other waiter for chips etc. No one refilled the water either. 4) At checkout, had to wait in line for 2 guys with a $50.00 to go order. Which was fine except that when they were done the cashier took the guy behind us first. When I complained they did take our payment. Needless to say, THERE WAS NO TIP!!!! Will never go back and the sad thing is of the three local stores they have this was the best at one time. We will stick with Acambaro-still the best in area and half the price of Abuelos! As a "post eating" follow up had digestion problems the whole day due to the over marination of my beef fajitas. Yeah, really drives in the "never go back" staement. read more

I am a little biased because this review is largely based on the customer service experience as opposed to the food. We have a severely handicapped son who is wheelchair bound who the people at this restaurant go out of their way to treat like a king. They know him by name and we often get Jose who is one of the best waiters in existence. He remembers tylers special drink needs even if it has been months since weve been there. The food is good, its not knock you off your socks good, but its good. The white cheese dip is really good and the burrito sonora is unique and worth trying. My husband and I had "dinner" there this past week. We had to wait for a receptionist for 15 minutes to seat us. She laid down 2 menu's at her station, then we had to seat ourselves with no menus and no silverware. We waited for another 20 minutes for our server. We ordered our food and waited another 20 minutes for our food. Still no silverware after asking twice, finally grabbing some from another table. Food was below tasty, but we were starving at this point. Price was way too expensive and we both spent a sleepless night with very upset stomachs! Never again!!!! read more

Had a quick business lunch here. I had the taco salad and cheese dip. The inside of the place is clean, and the servers were nice. The food arrived at our table within ten minutes of our ordering. That means a lot of pre-made food. It was OK, about like any other Mexican restaurant in the area. Comparable to La Huerta. Good for the price. read more

Food is good. I eat here at least a couple times a month because it's very close to my work. Service can be slow at times, you never know if anyone is going to come check on you during your meal. So, if you're on a time crunch I would go somewhere else. I do have to say most of the employees are very friendly and helpful. I have on several different occasions had an issue with the girl at the front- younger probably in her mid 20's- being very rude. She's not professional and shows her attitude frequently. She's really the biggest complaint I have about the Tonti Town Las Palmas location. I'm assuming she's a good employee or she wouldn't have worked there so long, it's just unfortunate she talks to customers the way she does. read more

My friend Kate ate at this establishment and documented her experience to me over the Snapchat platform. The queso was described as "the frito stuff you can buy at the store", the salsa was "mediocre", however the limes were "good as fuck". This is frankly unacceptable. How can you call yourselves genuine taco people? Step it up Las Palmas! Way to go with the limes though, pat yourselves on the back for those. Should change their name to "Los Errores." So, I've eaten here a lot, despite my low rating, mainly because they are close to my house, among a handful of other mediocre restaurants, and also because their top shelf margarita can be fantastic (depending on who makes it that day). But the frequency with which my order is incorrect is criminal. I'm not even ordering anything weird or off menu, but the menu is large, and clearly they don't require their wait staff to learn it prior to working here. Pescado a la diabla comes out as camarones a la diabla (this has happened to me 3 times), and if you'd like your pescado empanizado grilled instead of fried (both are options on the menu), good f***ing luck. 70% of the time it comes out fried anyway. Then there was the time my vegetarian's "cheese enchilada" was actually beef. The fish dishes take a while to make, so sending them back while the rest of your table eats isn't a fun option. Efforts to enunciate and even point to the menu don't really seem to help. Also another time my spinach quesadilla (which is great, btw) had a *broken piece of porcelain plate* in it. I don't really get it, because all the people that work there seem really nice, and I never have this problem at the Rogers Las Palmas. Maybe this is the training restaurant. Anyways, go here for the top shelf margarita (the well marg is nothing spectacular), have Jose make it if he's there, but keep your expectations of the food pretty low, and maybe even write down your order for the waiter, I think that's what I'm going to have to start doing. Aside from the seafood options and the delicious carne asada, this is pretty typical Ark-Mex. read more
