    Monorail stops May 2026
    Douglas S.

We were in town for the weekend and had already walked 11 miles by the time we found the monorail we chose the day pass and used it 3 times. I'm sure once you get used to it this is an easy mode of transportation if your not an avid walker, we were unsure of the area being the first day so sometimes walked out of the way to try to find it. By our first nights end we walked 18 miles. The next day we didn't use the monorail as most of what we were attending wasn't crazy far from our hotel but we still managed to walk 14 miles. Monorails seems to run frequently, so the longest we waited was maybe 15-20 mins

The Las Vegas Monorail is a great way to get around Las Vegas Blvd. I wish I knew about it the first times I went to Vegas, because it definitely saved me from walking a lot. I bought my day passes online. For large parties that are not Las Vegas residence, the cost adds up. Theres many stops along the way, and I practically visited all the south-end stops such as MGM Grand, Horseshoe, Flamingo, Harahs. Do note that there's still a lot of walking to get to the hotels main area from the stations. The best part about the Monorail is the view at night. It passes by the LINQ Ferris wheel and the sphere. Overall, I think the monorail is a great way to get around Las Vegas Blvd. I'll definitely use it in the future.

Locals get $1 per ride. I got my 20' ride pass for $20. Free parking at Sahara and east access to the strip make this and MGM my go to spots for getting on the tram. Bonus because you can grab coffee or pizza slice before heading up. For those coming from other hotels- Sahara is beautiful and eating at Balla is the way to go. (James beard winning chef) Although not ideal in every situation, I've grown to like the monorail.

Easy to use, purchased our virtual tickets online and saved a few bucks. The stations are located within walking distance to many popular spots. We didn't want to have to keep paying for parking so we took the monorail all day. It worked out well. Very easy system to use since it doesnt go too far and operates every 8 minutes.

If you know your way around Vegas don't want to pay for Uber/Lyft or and don't want to walk far distances the LV Monorail can be your friend.....operating hours are great...please always look them up online ....it doesn't run 24 hours! I used it a few times now to get from the convention center back to the hotels on the main strip....it's affordable especially if you plan to take multiple trips in a day on it....It isn't convenient for all hotels but it can still get you to the ones on the strip but best for the ones on the East Side of the strip more since when you exit you'll have to cross over to the West side of the Las Vegas Blvd Strip where Cosmo, Caesars, Bellagio and others are.... During heavy conventions like CES there definitely will be more people waiting.....

Took the monorail for the first time on the recent trip to Vegas because we could not get a ride share car after the back street boys concert from the sphere. Walked 10 min from sphere to Linq/Harrah monorail stop and paid $5.50 per person to take monorail to the MGM stop. So convenient and we could get back to our hotel faster than if we kept waiting for an uber of Lyft. Monorail was safe and clean.

Honestly it is a great way of transportation at the strip. Will save you money on Ubers/lyfts and it is quick and easy to get on and off. It's nicely located in the back of the casinos from the MGM to Saharas. Doesn't go to downtown but it is ok, you can still manage to get transportation from saharas hotel which is cheaper than taking one from smack middle of the strip and get most of the time surcharged for it. Only costs $5 for one way or I would suggest to buy a two day pass if you are here in Vegas for the weekend it will help a lot! If you don't like walking then it is not for you and honestly you already are walking all day so what's an extra few steps to save $$$. I will take that any day! 10/10

This is a great way to get up and down the strip, you can buy one trip as a day pass or multiple day passes. It's located where about seven stops that take you from one to the other on the script. Many of them have short walk to the casinos from the stop, but it certainly is cheaper at six dollars for a one-way pass than a cab over Uber. Cars were pretty clean for public transportation and it got me where I was going very quickly.

We took the monorail from and to Harrah's, which is across from The Linq.

Sunday, 4-06-25: The monorail makes it very convenient to traverse from a number of hotels to another. We were staying at Harrah's next to The Linq, where we caught the monorail. We were surprised at how clean it was and how easy it was to purchase tickets. It was very simple to follow since the directions were very clear. Our ride was comfortable on the way to the MGM Grand, where David Copperfield was performing, and back to the Linq. Hope it expands in the future. So nice to avoid the traffic & crowds.

    The nightmare called Monorail.

I took the bus from New Vegas (the Strip) to Old Vegas (Fremont Street). It is a very economical way to get up and down the strip. It costs $6 for 32hours or $8 for 24 hours. It is very affordable if you plan on going up and down the strip. Getting a pass was easy. I did it on my phone while I waited for the bus. It took me less than 5 minutes to do. You can use your pass on your phone, Apple watch, credit/debit card, or physical pass. I used my phone. If you are going to use that option, just make sure you have enough battery to last. I did not feel unsafe on my rides, but there was no police presence on board. They do, however, have video monitoring on the buses. Fortunately, I never needed to see the reaction time on any of my trips. The bus was relatively clean. And I will be the first to admit that there are some very interesting people who ride the bus. The buses are ADA-compliant and have wheelchair lifts. The route is pretty much straight and can easily be followed using your map application of choice. I enjoyed my rides on the Deuce. It got me where I needed to be and saved me tons of money. If you have a little time to get to where you are going and do not need a direct route. I would highly consider this transportation option.

Screens showing upcoming stops were streamlined, simple, and perfect for visitors. The public transit busses are wrapped with perforated vinyl ads on the sides, including windows, so this isn't a sightseeing bus (nor is it meant to be), but as a cheap, clean, simple way to get around, we found the RTC system to be wonderful. Some of the bus stops had actual benches, and others only had slanted metal strips about the shpae of a 2X4, to lean against. Not only are they less than useful as seats, if they're in the sun they can get very hot.

As the years went by more and more resources to facilitate your experience on campus were eliminated. The staff worsened, if there ever was a citation situation that you desired to have addressed or appealed, the process guide is archaic and perfectlly bureaucratic;nothing happens. Yet the technology to demand payment for parking was as innovative as ever. Today as I made my way towards two officers to inquire upon a citation he absentmindedly disregarded my inquriy. As I realized that zero information was available to them, I therefore proceeded to ask for a ride to their offices since the area on campus on which I had to park by has had over 5 assaults occur within this academic year. I was regarded as a liability, my request was retaliated by a response that lacked the slighest sense of concern for student safety and professinalism on any level. I proceeded to walk to their offices and place a demand where I was only met with apathy and a single email to which to submit my 'concern'. This department reflects perfectly well what happens on campus in every department on every level. The univeristy has fallen short of its mission statement the past 5 years it has worsened and of course nothing seems to change.

Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. When we checked in, we noticed there were only two washcloths. How are two people supposed to wash their face and body with the same towel? I asked housekeeping for extra towels, and she handed me three -- which honestly made me laugh. But here's the real issue: when we pulled the bedding back, there was long black hair on the sheets. That tells me the bedding was not changed. For the amount of money we spent, being placed in a dirty room is unacceptable. When we called housekeeping, the lady told us they were experiencing a high volume of requests and had no idea how long it would take for our room to be cleaned. That was extremely disappointing. After we were promised around 9:30 PM that someone would be up to our room to change the bedding, no one showed up or had the decency to call or offer us linen to do it ourselves, we ended up sleeping upright on the very uncomfortable love seat. This was our first and last time staying at this hotel. The views were beautiful, but the cleanliness and service were not anywhere near the standard we expected.

Expense for two people was $816 (flying from Seattle to Arizona one way is $307). About a week after I booked my LA-Seattle leg (a few days after booking Kingman-LA) I received notification via text that my LA-Seattle train had been cancelled. Called customer service to confirm and a gentleman (who didn't really sound well informed) told me that the train was still going but my reservation had been inexplicably cancelled. I called again later that day hoping for more clarity and the second customer service agent told me the train was cancelled due to roadwork and my reservation was not.I don't normally complain about these things but I would also note that the first two people I spoke with were rather challenging to understand as they had heavy accents (not American). Two days later I received an email from Amtrak letting me know that the service would be disrupted but they said "Don't worry, we've already set up alternate transportation for some or all of your route, and there's nothing you need to do." They did not detail what the alternate transportation was nor how that would impact my travel logistics. I called Amtrak yet again, hoping someone could explain the details of the "alternate transportation" and above all, explain the discrepancies in communication. The third person I spoke to initially repeated that the train was cancelled and when I told her about the email I received, she confirmed that the service was up to Emeryville, CA and I would be taking a bus up there from LA. She was not able to confirm how long the bus ride would be except (most of the way). By the way there was no refund so I would be paying $700 (which was the price of this leg of the journey) for a bus ride across 2.5 states. I asked if there was a supervisor available to speak because by this point I had heard three different things from three different people and the vaguest text and email ever. She pointed me to customer service. The 4th customer service agent I spoke to eventually confirmed everything the third customer service agent had said and also couldn't tell me how my arrival time would be impacted by the bus trip. She had to look on google maps to get an idea of the distances and times and said "well that's a long detour." I asked to speak to a supervisor about 5 times and told her it was the worst experience I'd ever had and they'd lost a customer and earned a poor review and she was not able to connect me to anyone else. Cherry on top was the call ending with an opportunity to complete a survey and then the survey was out of order. I ended up cancelling. Of the four, only the first person I spoke with offered me any kind of future discount for my trouble and it was $50. Ridiculous at every level.
